Fantastic people, waaaay above average food, and fantasticly friendly clientele make a far above average bar experience. Huzzah to the Lakewood (and oh yeah, even though its in theory a sports bar, Monday night is definitely chic nite with the Bachelor and Dancing with The Stars on the BIG SCREEN)

Food is GREAT! Well above your typical bar food. Service is impeccable and staff at night is terrific. Comfortable atmosphere w/ big screen TV and good music. Also love the table top trivia machine! Will keep going...and going....and going.

Great service, great food, GREAT bar staff, and GREAT atmosphere -- low key, no pressure, doesn't care how you're dressed, who your with, or what you order. They are just glad you came and hope you come back!

BEST bar in Lakewood, by far! And waaaaay better than that former place in the same place by the same name that only catered to chain-smoking SMU frat boy types!

I have been to the Lakewood Tavern several times and have hosted several happy hours and get togethers there. The staff is awesome, the food is delicious, and most importantly, the bar is SMOKE-FREE!!! They have a full menu that offers great selection. There's pool, a digital music system, and a huge TV. I tell all my friends and family to visit the Lakewood Tavern - it's just great!

cozy, warm and best of all 'SMOKE -FREE'. Enjoyed a football game there last weekend .Great service, funny bartender and good food! After a crazy day , left feeling relaxed.

Although it's not actually located in the little Lakewood area shopping center, it's not far and it is really cool. Wonderful ambiance, very cozy, yet cool. Lots of great wines. I went there for a charity event, so I can't say about the pricing, but I will be checking it out soon.

I think this will be my new favorite place. A nice selection of wines and beers, great food, a huge plasma TV, and a lot of fun paintings on the walls. Nice and relaxing.
