I was yesterday in shop. Not showing my quote from MB dealership asked for repair - it was $400 cheaper - four hundred dollars cheaper! Pampered mechanic did work in hour and half while I was waiting. I was driving around town yesterday all afternoon - car runs better then ever!
Great job Pampered! I'm glad for my friend recommendation (no wonder that he is coming to them for 5 years now) - I'll be back!

Took my BMW X5 into this shop for the first time, and I was extremely impressed!
These guys were very professional, friendly and honest. They took the time to explain the issues with my car, offered some great advice to prevent issues from re-occurring and were overall just helpful and friendly, which I never get from a mechanic!
I would definitely return to this shop for any future repairs on my BMW! They were also much cheaper than the dealership!

This place is cool, they are not out to take your money, just want to get you back on the road. I was pleased with the work and would go back.

Simply put my car was working and then it was not. I was on my way through Austin on 4/16 and while trying to access the toll road my car just stopped. Luckily, I was able to pull over on the access road where a woman stopped and suggested Pampered Auto Care. She said ""I hear they do great work"". I called and Steve made sure I had a tow truck on the way so I could continue on my trip after picking up a rental car.

Long story short I had some major repairs and of course being away from home did not help things. Their team was responsive, they kept me up-to-date on where they were on repairs with my Xterra and most importantly they were easy to deal with.
Overall it was a fabulous experience when my car situation was not good. I drove my car home to Fort Worth from Austin confident it was running like they said it would. Thanks Pampered Auto!

I met Edin a couple of years ago when my check engine light came on in my Audi A6. I don't even think his shop was open but he was there working on a vehicle. He was kind enough to run the diagnostics for me so I could rest assured driving with the light on wouldn't kill my car over the weekend. After that first repair I was impressed enough to bring my ""service list"" that Audi had given me. Edin actually laughed at it. He grabbed a pen and started slashing through prices and x'ing out items that were not truly necessary. WOW. I have since referred a few friends their way and ironically my buddy at Dell tried to refer them to me as well. 3 thumbs up.

The waterpump started leaking in my 2002 Escalade which was diagnosed at my local Firestone when I was getting tires replaced. After receiving a quote of over $550 to replace it, I contacted Pampered Auto Care in Cedar Park for a quote. PAC was over $160 cheaper - plus the parts were AC Delco and fully warrantied.

I have been needing a new fuel pump and rear brakes for ages and Pampered came in with the lowest quote, but best warranty and again, AC Delco parts. $400 cheaper on average.

I could not be happier with the service at both locations. These guys are honest, friendly, and best of all, perform quality work.

Thanks very much.

I took my Lexus GS300 for 100K check up. They did not do a good job. After couple of days, i started having with my car. When i took it back, they denied it their fault. When my car was working perfectly fine last week and now with my 100K check, it has started giving problems. If you find a better one, avoid these guys

My 2005 MINI Cooper's warranty expired several months ago so I took a chance on the Pampered auto. It's the best decision I've ever made for my car, and my bank account! The first time I took it in for a warranty inspection and they found several issues that I was able to get fixed at the dealer before it expired. They could have just waited and done the work themselves, but they were too honest for that. I've gone back since for major service, a power steering hose replacement, and some front end work. Their work is excellent, their prices are very reasonable, and their service is very friendly and personable. I wouldn't take my car anywhere else!

We bought a BMW over a year ago and it has been such a nightmare for us! I don't think we ever had a good experience with mechanics anywhere. They all seem to want you to fix all these ""problems"" .So the last time we took our car to this one shop in south Austin, they fixed a minor problem that we had with the car, but somehow they ended up busting something else. After we picked our car up, two days later it literally started to smoke! the smoke really scared the **** out of us. I mean we just got our car fixed for crying out loud!! We had to take it to the nearest auto shop, I don't remember the name, but it turned out that we were leaking antifreeze and it was evaporating and that's what caused the smoking effect, no it's not the same kind of smoke from a fire, but I can assure you, if you see that while driving, your heart would definitely drop to your pants. Needless to say I am cautious of taking our car anywhere. Now we're stuck with this antifreeze problem. After doing some research online we thought we were going to take it to L&M auto, which is so popular and they get such good reviews, so we called Bill and he said he was going to charge us $40 just to look at the car without even diagnosing any problems. That , to me seems pretty absurd. I mean if you just want to throw away money that's fine, but I think if I'm spending 40 bucks I better get something out of it. So we started shopping around and that's when I decided to give Pampered auto a try. I came in with skepticism of course, but to my surprise, Ed was very courteous. He showed me all the problems with the car and explained everything thoroughly. He tightened a couple of things and told me that should stop the leak, but if not, then I should come back. He sent me home without charging me anything! Now that's an honest mechanic. So far so good, I just hope that this thing stop leaking, but if not, then I would definitely take it back to Pampered Auto Care. Thank you

I have a 2002 Audi TT Roadster that has had chronic problems, especially regarding the suspension, practically since the day it was brought home. My family and I became suspicious that Momentum Audi in Houston was not performing the work they said they were about 4 years after we bought it.

I found Pampered Auto Care in August of 2008, after a previous mechanic in Houston had forgotten to turn the reminder light off after one of the integral services. Pampered Auto Care didn't charge me anything for that so I decided to give them another shot when I needed more work done.

It turns out that that same previous mechanic had also forgotten to bolt on the driver's side sway bar after installing new struts, which had led to, among other things, that new left strut breaking. My mechanic Steve, who is their VW/Audi specialist, helped recommend a custom panzer plate (because the stock one was made of cheap plastic that did not protect the bottom of the car, and has led most TT drivers to experience a broken oil pan or two) from some custom part makers who he had worked with previously to design some jetta short-shifters.

Steve also did a custom install for me, on the spur of the moment around the holidays (because I only have one vehicle and can't afford to be without my car for too long), of some Koni Adjustable Yellows, Eibach springs, and specially made rear control arms. The car rides like a dream now; probably better that the day it was first brought home, and my TT is up for the daily challenges I put it through!

The prices always seem fair and reasonable, and Mark will call around to various parts suppliers trying to find you the best deal he can. There are never any surprises on how much things will cost...the estimates are always right on. If you have questions, the mechs will explain everything in layman's terms, and will even take you out into the garage to show you what's up.

If you feel like you are getting jerked around by your dealer's garage, be it anything from Ford and GM to Mercedes and BMW, I highly recommend Pampered Auto Care. I always talk other customers in the waiting room who have nothing but good things to say about this business, and I'm sure they will be able and willing to help you with whatever car problem you might have!

My major reason to check the Pampered Auto Care was the reviews I read here. Im so glad I trusted them and left my car to fix there. I have 06 BMW and last year had some problems with. I went two times to dealership, and after spending more than 3000 the leakage was still present, they told me that was normal!
Two weeks ago I decided and went to Pampered and since than my garage is spotless. Very, very happy!

I took my vehicle to Pampered Auto Care in Austin because of all the good reviews I had read online. I had first taken my car there in regards to a fluid leak I had noticied and thought was coming from a transmission front seal. They looked over the car and said they did not think this was where the leak was coming from and stated it was the valve covers. I asked them to change the valve covers seals, which they did and I took the car home the next day. That night I noticed the leak was still there in the same place. I brought it back and was told I will have to change the passenger valve cover because it was porous. I asked them to redo the job on that valve cover. After it was redone, the leak stopped. A few days later I noticed another leak and when I brought the car back they then stated that it was now the transmission front seal. I then gave the go ahead to change it, change the transmission fluid (which I provided 12 liters of esso lt 71141), the trans filter, pan gasket seal, two drain bolts (which I also provided) and replace the O-ring.

After picking up the car I noticed the next night that the car was making a whirring noise when put into reverse and when shifting. I took it back to them the next business day. They removed what they thought was the fill hole while the car was still running, and fluid came out and stated that the transmission was full and that the transmission was probably going bad. I took the car home and after reading forums I took it back. After discussing the concerns of transmission fluid again, they removed the drain hole again and fluid came out stating it was full and that they had worked on several similar vehicles like this one. I then asked if the 5HP24 transmission that was fitted in my vehicle only had one hole which was the drain/fill hole. I was told yes. I then stated I thought my trans had two holes, not one and asked what the hole was on the side of the transmission was.

The mechanic realized the mistake and used an electric pump with a container filled with transmission fluid although I still had two bottles of transmission fluid I had provided. They filled it up for approximately three minutes. They had not used the second bolt I had provided, however they did not return this to me. Manufacturer specs states that when the trans is filled, it would take 10 liters, however the trans wasn't full. They had given me two bottles back of the twelve I provided, but if the trans was not full what happened with the fluid?

I still have a leak, unknown damage due to having driven without enough trans fluid and doubts on the job done for a $1000.

Me: I've had some experience with cars, both good and bad. I've replaced alternators, batteries, and a timing chain on my old car. Then I got tired of repairing my car, got rid of it, and started biking.\r
\r
The Car: A 95 Neon that I just got from my sister, who just wanted me to have transportation. It has some problems, including a power steering thing.\r
\r
Pampered Auto Care: I gave them a list, and they checked out everything. The mechanic didn't hold back when he described the last person that worked on the steering. As I suspected, it would need a new pinion for the leak (from a hole, that had been 'plugged') to be completely repaired\r
The mechanic let me know that I could live with it if I wanted, all depending on how long I planned on owning the car.\r
\r
As someone who knows the basics about a car, I really appreciated that. Then I asked him to make the repair anyway. $650, to replace the part and pinion and re-align the car. I know that sounds really expensive. Its not for what they did.\r
\r
A few things impressed me about Pampered Auto Care.\r
* I gave them a list of things to check out. As we went down the list, they let me know when something was outside of their scope, and suggested other places. (For instance, with a car radio problem)\r
* From a list of things that I gave them to look at, they only found the one problem... one which I already knew about.\r
* For a pretty complex problem, they gave me an estimate the same day. They repaired the car, and I was able to pick it up the next day.\r
* They were nice. I know that shouldn't matter too much, but it did. They left me feeling great after I spent $650 there, rather then feeling like I just got ripped off.\r
\r
These guys are honest as hell.\r
If you don't know cars, trust these guys. If you do know cars, you'll love them even more.

GREAT Shop, GREAT Mechanics...Most HONEST shop I've ever had the good fortune to walk into. Went in with my 97 Jeep Wrangler, told them I needed a new transmission (because 2 other shops had said that) and he quoted a lower price so I told him to do the work. He called me 3 hours later to tell me the trans was done, it was just a bad valve and he fixed it for $50.00 I almost fainted. Also, when I brought my other car, Pontiac, in and told him I needed a brake job, he called me to tell me the rotors were bad, saved them and showed them to me, and only charged the cost of additional parts since he was doing the brakes anyway. My mother in law and a couple of friends in the area all have similar good stories. His shop is getting so busy now because everyone is starting to go there that you can't just pop in and wait for some jobs now. Go there and you'll never go elsewhere. I've moved to the far south side of Austin, but still take my cars here because it's very hard to find this kind of honesty!

Pros: Friendly, competent, professional - Definately recommend

My daughter's VW Jetta needed the headlights replaced before she drove to Ohio. Manager was extremely helpful and professional when I spoke to him on the phone and told him what i needed to have done. The work was done perfectly, timely and exactly how he advised us in advance. With so many car repair choices available, I would highly recommend this one. Timely and professional service is sometimes lacking in the auto repair industry.

I called before hand to make sure they could do a VI-30 Car inspection because we moved from out of State the car was less than 2 months old. They said they weren't busy and that they could get my wife right in no problem . She waited for a hour for them to come back and say that they filled it out as a 2008 nissan, which we had a 2009 so she had to wait another 40 minutes for them to inspect a NEW CAR!!

I get my vehicle fixed in Pampered Auto Care shop. They have very reasonable prices and fast and friendly service. I moved over 30 miles away and still continue to use them. You can trust them with your vehicle and know they won't mess with anything else so that you have to come back. I highly recommend Pampered service.

Pros: great german car specialist

.

This car service shop was very helpful. I went in for one reason and they found a more pressing problem and pointed that out to me. I couldn't address the original problem at the same time so they itemized the repairs needed and gave me a printout. I thought the prices were fair and they didn't try to sign me up for lots of things I didn't need. Mark is very good at explaining the problem and proposed solution and I like the attitudes of the employees.

I'm not a person who normally finds myself raving about things, certainly not writing some review, but here I found good reason. I first found Pampered Auto Care back about 3 years ago, and I seen them to be honest and hard working people. It wasn't until the last 4 months that I saw just how much. I had been having a problem with the dealer covering the warranty on my other car. Now,,, the dealer said it was a 1600 dollar repair that wasn't covered, but Pampered found that it was only a valve problem that would only cost about 250, even after I had told them of the dealers findings and price. Needless to say,, they fixed the problem and I was happy. The point is, they had every opportunity to crew me, but didn't choose to. These guys are number one in my book.\r

Thank you

Pros: service

I highly recommend Pampered Auto for Mercedes Benz repair. They were able to provide same day service for my E430 and fixed my car in 30 minutes. They were very professional and courteous. The mechanic was nice enough to describe exactly what he was doing in detail and he was kind enough to point out some maintenance items I needed to do in the future. Many thanks to Mark and Greg at the Burnet location for excellent work.

Cons: No shuttle to downtown but didn't need it when the car is done in 30 minutes!

These guys are great! They are professional, knowledgeable and friendly staff. I have a Nissan Frontier and Pampered Auto Care has continually given me better pricing for repair then any foreign car shop has quoted. They're always on time with the repair.\r
\r
Plus, being a woman and going to a mechanic can be intimidating, but I'd never felt that way here. They always provided answers and explanations to my questions on car problems. My cars rarely had any problems after a repair...the one time it did, they replaced it free of charge, even though the warranty had just expired! (The problem was due to a defective part, NOT due to Pamepered Auto Care.)\r
\r
I know when I get work done there I have a peace of mind driving afterwards. \r

We were sent to this repair place by a service center .. They were wary of changing the fluid. These guys went the extra mile to make us feel at ease and maintenance was performed with some great attention to detail.

I have a BMW 330i that was leajing oil from the oil pan gasket. Edin and his team put the car on lift and figured out within half an hour that not just the pan gasket was leaking, but another part as well. In order to do the job 100% correct they recommended to make that repair as well at no extra charge for labor. They called me and discussed all the details with me . Many mechanics try to take advantage of the situation, not so Edin and his team. Peace of mind all the way! Plus Edin and his guys are absolutely nice guys who know their stuff inside and out! The BEST BMW and German car service in Austin by far. I highly recommend you see Edin and his team! \r

I dread taking my car in; I usually feel that I will be ripped off (I have an old BMW, so it's needed some work). Not here. Everyone was super friendly and so helpful - I asked lots of questions and they took the time to explain everything to me and offer advice. \r

I went to Pampered for a brake job and my experience was overall very positive. They took my car right away and had it examined. They told me what the problem was. They showed me what the problem was. They explained what needed to be done. They gave me an estimate with a complete breakdown for each part and labor, which was a very reasonable amount. I took the can in at 10:30am and they estimated to have it ready around 12:00 (I finished at about 12:30, still pretty good by car repair standards). They charged exactly what they said

I don't know how having your car break down can ever be a good thing, but for me the day had a silver lining. Being new to Austin, I had the good fortune of being towed to Pampered Auto Care instead of a dealership. My 99 Passat was not drivable and needed major work and Mark was just awesome to work with. They promptly diagnosed the problem with my car and gave me a very fair estimate and completed the work quickly and as promised. In addition to the mechanical work, they even fixed a side panel that had come loose. They patiently explained the work that they did and also advised me about how I could keep my car in good shape. I have never had this kind of personal service before and will never go back to a dealership. I have owned cars for 35 years and these are the best and most honest mechanics I have ever dealt with. As long as I am in Austin this will be my shop and I would recommend it to anyone looking for great service.\r
Excellent customer service, the best mechanics in Austin

When I brought my car to Pampered Auto I knew exactly what was wrong with it. I would have replaced the parts myself but I had been very busy with work and decided to have them do it because of the drooling reviews on here. \r
\r
Instead of doing the specific work that I requested, they changed an entirely different part and even charged me for a ""diagnostic test"" which I had already done myself. I wasn't in the mood to argue so I paid my bill and left. It seems that they rely on this behavior, how else could they expect to stay in business with such abysmal service?\r
\r
Due to them ""replacing"" the wrong part (which is much more expensive), they didn't fix the problem at all, the car stalled out again 2 miles from the shop, and I ended up replacing the parts myself.\r
\r
Save yourself $500 and do the work yourself or find a place that will actually do the job asked of them. Pampered Auto isn't worth your time.

I recently took my Ml430 into the Cedar Park shop for a ""B"" service and a two axle brake job. The work was performed on time and as per the quote and the communication with Josh was very good. Overall the cost was quite reasonable.\r
\r
However, when I picked the car up the first thing I noticed was that the service counter had not been reset. The tech came out to re-set it and while I was waiting (this took a while) I asked if they had rotated the tires. He said they had; but I know that I have 3 older tires that are almost worn to the indicators and one newer tire that was replaced under warranty. I?ll have to check the invoice form the tire shop but I am sure that the new tire is still on the same corner that it was when I took the car in.\r
\r
Additionally, when I dropped the car off, I knew that I had a rear brake light out and I meant to tell the shop about it but forgot. When washing the car today I realized that the light was still out. Isn?t checking the lights part of the basic inspection service? Any quickie-lube will do that for you.\r
\r
The apparent lack of attention to detail on the little things makes me worry about the important stuff.\r
\r
Three stars this time but I most likely will give them a 2nd chance.\r

Cons: incomplete work - 20 min delay in picking up the car.

I had such a great experience at Pampered Auto. After taking my 2001 car to a well known chain auto repair company and getting an estimate I decided to call around and get a few second opinions. Pampered Auto was hundreds less than the other auto company and they didn't recommend unnecessary things. They got me in quickly and fixed the problem for a fraction of the cost. I trust them with my car and will be taking it there for all my auto needs the the future!

I accidently brought my 79 Trans Am Bandit into their shop thinking it was a different business I was being referred to..Not a good way to start..However my car was already there so I decided to let them do the work..The word ""pampered"" kind of had me scared as I interpreted that to mean ""expensive"". I had a list of items to be fixed and they went down the list as they went. I would get called and the mechanic would let me know what he found, and if it was really needing to be fixed. I had a problem with the A/C that they spent a lot of time trouble shooting and then when it didnt make sense to repair the issue, didn't charge me for the time. I left there feeling like I got a great deal on the service price and the work was quality. I'll be taking it back there soon, as I got another job for em!

Edin, you did it again! I don't know how in the hell you got the dead, stinky snake\r
out of my AC vents, but my wife is finally riding with me again. My putrid 318\r

ha ha. Houston dealer probably sprayed Febreeze inside the vents just to make me buy the car. I had no idea how to take apart those vent ducts and put everything back together. You made it look pretty easy.

I admit that I don?t like taking the time to write reviews. Sadly though my warranty work at the dealership in Dallas was less than desired. Moved to Austin 2 months ago and began searching for all Mercedes mechanics in the Austin area. Very impressed with Edin?s explanation of my current troubles. I was escorted into the service bay and shown hand-over-hand the entire brake system from the under side.

I've kept my eyes and ears peeled for a good auto shop since moving to Austin two years ago and opted to give Pampered Auto Care a try after reading eighteen positive reviews out of a total of nineteen. Say no more (I will anyway)... I'm sold : )\r
\r
I took my '96 Mustang GT convertible into the Austin location after noticing a rather disconcerting sound emanating from under the hood . She's got 192,000 miles on her, so I was worried. Needless to say, Mark, the gentleman behind the desk, and Greg, my mechanic that day, quickly put my worries to rest when they diagnosed the problem as a bad idler pulley. One hour (their supplier had the new part in-hand within thirty minutes) and $63 later, I was on the road again. Oh happy day! \r
\r
But wait...there's more! I've been looking for someone to install a new top, receiving estimates ranging anywhere from $1400 - $1800. Well Mark - all too familiar with the Mustang breed - referred me to a gentleman who quoted me just over half that including labor, parts and supplies.\r
\r
In short, Pampered Auto Care's won not only my continued business, but a strong referral to any of my friends and family looking for a conscientious and professional auto shop. In my experience, the staff pride themselves on doing the right thing at the right price, and if they can't do it, they'll refer you to someone who can. Yes, Virginia, there IS a Santa Claus, and I think he's German. Cheers, Edin!

I heard of Pampered Auto Care from a co worker whom also drives a foreign car. Upon his recomendations I took my vehicle there. I drive a 2000 Mercedes Benz E 320. Not only did the guys at Pampered fix my car with in one bussines day. They were clear in explaining what was wrong and why it needed attention. I also shopped around after finding out the issues at hand. They beat my previous repair shop and also the dealerships in pricing. Way to go Pampered, I finally found an honest repair shop to bring my cars too. I will definately be back...

Taken my 93 SL to Edin for almost seven years. Too many good things to list and can't remember most of them, but I can tell you that I have never had a bad thing to say about my service and price. Mit freundlichen Gru?en

Pros: Benz diagnostic equipment

.

Top notch diagnostic. Brought my 740 in and they found the bad sensor in minutes. Part was on hand and replaced. Not to knock my car, but this the second time the same O2 sensor went out within 2 years and I had the dealer replace the first one. I do remember paying a few $hundred more at the dealer. I am spoiled with the dealership waiting room though having WiFi, but then again I was in and out in half an hour and did save a ton of cash.

Pros: Cost, Troubleshooting

Cons: Need Free Wi-Fi in waiting room

Thank you. This is my first foray away from the dealer for B service. I can not complain about the price and saved quite a bit with your service.\r

Pros: Savings

After years of having my mercedes ml 320 serviced at the dealer, I heard of pampered auto care. They were very thorough in there diagnoisis of my car, there rates were about 30% cheaper then the dealer. The service was like it used to be when I was growing up (like people really cared).I wont take my car anywhere else. \r

Pros: great service

Dropped off my 03 mercedes and got it back right away! Drives better than new! I highly recomend Pampered Auto Care to everyone. They did such great work I'm bringing in my other car for a tuneup. My family and I will be customers for life. Its quite a drive for me considering I live waaay south but very well worth it!!! Marc and Ed are a great team and are true to their name as to make me feel ""pampered"". They were honest, completed the work very fast and effiecent, and the prices are second to none.
