This restaurant is extremely elegant. This is definitely a place for a special evening out. The food is fancy, excellent, and delicious. Drinks are outstanding too.

I mean this place has to be one of the most elegant places in texas. The staff was amazing the scenery was absolutely jaw dropping. Not to mention the food! oh my gosh. so if you want to whoa that special someone or even ask them to be yours forever this is the perfect place.

delicious

by jo l. | insider Insider | Rank: 23,429

The food is superb. The decor is very simple but refreshing with huge windows looking over the lovely little lake with a fountain and ducks and turtles to catch your eye.

The wait staff is very nice. I usually get the rigatoni con salsiccia (sp?.. rigatoni w/ sausage) and the crochete de aurore (this appetizer is basically fried risotto balls that has cheese and sausage with a creamy tomato sauce over it) The risotto balls are to die for. The iced tea is also very good.

It isn't cheap, but if you're not having wine I don't think Mi Piaci is much more expensive than other places. You get what you pay for and you definitley get quality italian food. I don't know if it's authentic italian food, but it not your usual italian food like going to Olive Garden or Macaroni Grill. It's more upscale and a nice change from americanized italian cuisine.

Delicious home-made Italian food

by Cynthia E. | insider Insider | Rank: 24,671

The setting of Mi Piaci is one of its best features. There is a pond outside the dining room windows with ducks and a fountain whose spray is lit up at night. The service is famously slow, unfortunately, but the food is very good. If you enjoy watching pasta in the making, pause by the kitchen window near the entrance and see a chef churning out interesting strands of fresh noodles for your supper. Outstanding dishes include the risotto with scallops and osso bucco. Did I mention this restaurant is very expensive?
