My mom got me a gift certificate here and we tried it out while in Houston. At first we were worried since we were the only ones in the place, but later there were more guests. You get so used to chain restaurants that your taste buds are pleasantly surprised by the flavors of freshly made food. I wish I could eat there now!
Our food server was young but had 5-star service etiquette. The GM was very personable and visited every table several times. This is a place for regulars or neighborhood VIPs.
The fresh bread was pretty good and the pizza was light and perfect for pairing with wine. If you are going to do wine by the glass, choose the Malbec.
It was GOOOOOOD!! my girlfriend and I like to dine at BYOBs around town and we've been to most. My boss mentioned this place and we gave it a shot. Glad we did! the food was amazing.. best tenderloin ive had in a long time. the bread and oil with herbs was awesom. the owner pepe..I think it was pepe, came by our table to see how the service was and welcomed us. only complaint i have was that there was a group sitting next to us that was pretty rowdy but other than that im anxiouse to go back with friends and family.
My boyfriend wanted to try a new italian place and I found Villagios online so we decided to check it out and WOW. I have never rec'd such wonderful customer service not to mention all of the AMAZING food and drinks that we had. They constantly replenish drinks, bread, etc. and all of the staff is so polite and nice!Everything we tried was simply wonderful, we left the waiter a nice tip and he actually came out of the restaurant as we were getting in the car and THANKED us for the generous tip!!! In all the restaurants we've eaten at such as Marks, Sullivans, Bertani, Grand Lux, etc we've never had a waiter "chase after" us to thank us for his tip. We will definitely be back soon!
Pros: EVERYTHING!!!
Cons: stop reading about it and go try the food!!
My fiance recently tried Villagios and were pleasantly surprised. We had been shopping all day and didn't want to wait 45 minutes for a table at Carrabas. we remembered seeing Villagios and decided to give it a try. Everything we tried was really good, there was no wait, good service and the prices were great.
I can't say it was the "best" italian I have every had, but very good and when you factor in the prices, it is right up there. We will go back.
Been there a few time and the food has always been great. Servers always seem stressed and overly apologetic. This is not enough to keep me from enjoying myself though.
This is the best italian restuarant in houston. I just recently tried it and I loved it! The service is also wonderful...they bring water always and keep your bread basket full at all times. Its great. Their 4 cheese ravioli is amazing....never tasted anything like it before. You're probably thinking its just ravioli...but noo, this place makes it so falvorful and delicious! love it! would recommend it for anyone!
Pros: great food, great service what more could you ask for.
Cons: none
My husband and I eat here all the time. We love it! The food is wonderful and they have bent over backwards on the occassions when something hasn't been just right. Service is good and the atmosphere is nicely lit and romantic for the dinner hours and great for a quick business lunch.
Pros: Great food at a great price!
Cons: none that I have found so far.
Great pastas- quickly serves up plated pastas - service was efficient and friendly too. The room is nicely decorated, clean, and actually quick a nice menu too. Large variety to choose from. At night it's romantic, but not stuffy - it's more of a cafe style. They have a $1 wine night, and you can BYO wine too. Staff is always friendly.
Pros: quick business lunches
Cons: none!
Villagio's is a wonderful BYOB Italian restaurant with a great atmosphere and well-prepared, delicious food for a great price! Parking is easy and the prices are reasonable for the quality of their food. It also helps to be able to bring your own wine - that saves quite a bit of money! If you haven't been to Villagio's yet, you should definitely give it a try.
Pros: Food, BYOB, Atmosphere
I've stopped by here a few times in the past to browse the menu and for a glass of wine, but tonight was my first time eating (take out). I was skeptical, because the place had seemed fairly empty those few times. I was quite pleased, however, with the quality of the food. The bread had a homemade taste and a nice medium brown crust, without being too hard -- above average for affordable Italian dining, and markedly better than the local Italian chains. The chicken and pasta dish was also well prepared, although the cream sauce was a tad on the rich side -- dieters take caution. The ambience is especially nice, with a romantic, slightly-dim lighting and gorgeous artwork. I suspect the unassuming location may factor into the typically uncrowded dining room. Or, perhaps, the free delivery encourages local diners to stay home.
Pros: Quality Food, Ambience, Not a Chain!
Cons: NonGlamorous Location
The service was awful!!! The staff was rude and inconsiderate. The management was not concerned about the customer's dining experience at all. I will never go back and will ensure that no one I know goes back!!!
Cons: RUDE, Inconsiderate, Aweful
