Casa Linda Homes is a scam
by adam r.
casa linda homes sold me my home when no one else would , but for a reason. the home i purchased has 23 mechanics liens on it for every contractor that worked in building it. not one of them got paid for their services , and on top of things i have been in contact with some of them and they have informed me that they paid for the materials out of pocket.THE BIGGEST PROBLEM WITH MY HOME AS WELL AS SEVERAL HUNDRED OTHERS IS A TWENTY MILLION DOLLAR LIEN THAT WAS NOT DISCLOSED TO ME THAT I FOUND ON MY OWN.DO A TITLE SEARCH DEMAND A TITLE COMPANY DO THE CLOSING AND IF AT ALL POSSIBLE STAY AWAY FROM CASA LINDA HOMES, GRANDE VALLEY HOMES, FIRST COMPASS HOMES, DIZDAR REALTY,DIZDAR DEVELOPMENT.ALL THESE COMPANIES ARE OWNED BY MARK DIZDAR HE LIVES IN MISSION TEXAS AND DRIVES A BLACK 2008 CADILLAC ESCALADE , IF YOU WANT HIS HOME ADDRESS AND TELEPHONE NUMBER EMAIL ME AT s15240sxbaytown@yahoo.com

Casa Linda Homes is a rip off
by George T.
Worst home buying experience I've ever had. If it sounds too good to be true, RUN AWAY!!. I bought my home from them in Harlingen in 2007, it was one problem after another. If you're dumb enough "like me" to enter into a contract with them, at least be smart enough to make sure ANYTHING they promise is in writing and I mean anything. Don't be pressured into signing anything, take your time reading over your closing papers. They'll try to make you feel like they have soooo many people in the wings just waiting to scoop up your home and if you don't close right now you'll lose out on the greatest deal of you life, and if someone else does beat you to this "great deal", send them flowers as a "Thank you" and as "Condolences".

Big Whiners
by Jose L.
I have had no problem with my Casa Linda home. I have noticed that most of the people that complain about the Company are because they are in bad standing, make late payments, etc. Casa Linda has given may families a chance to own a home when others would not. Overall, my home is good quality and I do my best to maintain it. People, be Thankful!!

Very Unsatisfactory
by Sam M.
I signed a cancellation with Casa Linda Homes in December 2008 and am still waiting on my earnest money refund. I've filed a complaint with the better business bureau and am hoping to get this settled asap! I've called their corporate office and McAllen, Texas and they are not so bright. I haven't been able to get a response or anything from them. If the BBB does not get this settled, I will be filing a lawsuit.

Don't buy your home from this company!
by Anonymous
We purchased our home from the Casa Linda in Houston and it has been the mot horrible experience! Not only have the warranty issues not been taken care of, but it took them 6 months to pay our property taxes! This is our first home and the quality and the customer service was the worst I have ever experienced! Needless to say after a year of living in our home, we still have paint on our floors throughout the entire house and on our windows.

No customer service
by Preston V.
Our house floods at the front door when it rains, there is no certification from the engineer, my Tx windstorm insurance was cancelled because of it. It has been six months, and these problems still are not fixed. I called customer service in McAllen, and was told I had to wait. These things should have been taken care of when we paid the $118,000.00 for the new home. Mold is starting to grow because of the water sitting at the front door, we have to go in and out of the house throught the garage when it rains. My wife and I have worked hard and are finally able to purchase a brand new home, and this is what we get. Also, our address on our Mortgage is different than our mailing, physical address. The whole experience has been miserable, not fun.

When no one would approve us for a new home, Casa Linda Homes was there to help us out. We had bad credit, and Casa Linda was able to do their own in house financing with a low down payment and the house was a blessing in disguise. I would recommend them to anyone who needs a home.
