I have been using Darlene's for over 20 years. They have the most beautiful flowers in Houston!! I love to go there when I need a wedding or birthday gift because I can always find what I need...they even do magnificent gift wrap. Highly recommend this shop.

Darlene's was recommended to me by a long time customer of theirs to create my wedding flowers, and I couldn't have been more pleased. I went in with a limited color palette and high expectations for originality and creativity, and what could have potenially been very bland (considering the only colors I wanted to use were ivory and green) turned out spectacular. They listened to every random idea I had, and had such a vast knowledge of flowers, plants and displays in general. After one trip to their small but grandly decorated store, I was convinced that I was in good hands. I received so many compliments from people who attended my wedding. My hairdresser said that the flower layouts were "hands down, the best flower arrangements he had EVER seen at a wedding." And he's been to a lot! He also said that what probably cost me a few thousand (true) LOOKED like a 10,000 dollar spread. So like I said in my heading, I was extremely satisfied!!

I've changed my review of this florist after having received an overpriced bouquet of one dozen red roses from Darlene's for Valentine's Day. In the past, the flowers have been really fresh and displayed perfectly. Why on one of the most important "flower days" they cut corners is beyond me. The roses are small, the bow is ridiculous-looking, and this has to be the ugliest vase ever. I am very disappointed, and in an office of over 30 co-workers, I am not the only one who agrees with the lack of quality from this bouquet. Also, very nice that one rose is at a 90 degree angle from the rest of the flowers. Just yuck. Kroger seriously has better roses at 1/5 of the price! These flowers were $102!
