Christmas... had 3 turkey dinners... wondering what to do for a change... Go to Medieval Times. It was a surprise to have the tickets. What a way to spend a usually traditionally "What do I do now day?"

Medieval Times is a special blend of showmanship, beautiful horses, a visit to a past era of knights and damsels, and good food. It's a unique night of entertainment for the entire family.

Medieval Times is a fantastic outing for a family or group. Kids love it and so do the adults. The food is good but the most fun is the show and the atmosphere. If you love horses, you will really enjoy this show.

I went to Medieval Times on Saturday night with a group of work friends for a bday. It turned out really great! The food was yummy and they kept you eating the whole time. Everyone seemed to have a great time and I highly recommend it for groups

This is a great place to go back in time. The price will make your jaw drop at first, but then when you realize everything you get for your money it is worth the trip. The show is fantastic and so is the food.

I don't agree with the bad reviews. This show is definitely NOT overpriced. For the admission fee you get a four-course meal, a 2 1/2 hour show, and you're able to come look around the castle and hour and a half before showtime and afterwards, too! Normally you pay the same price for just the show in other places. Sometimes the food is complained about as being bland, but I didn't agree at all. It was authentic AND delicious. The chicken wasn't overspiced, as I often find with similar dishes, and you get so much food that you can barely finish it all. I've also had the vegetarian plate, which was still delicious and ample. People do walk past offering to sell items, but they aren't forced upon you as said, they would only stop if you asked them to, and they were pretty entertaining- a few of them were dancing to the theme music! They were only there for the first half of the show, they left for the really important parts. Everyone who works there seems to really enjoy it, and there was always a barmaid walking around if you didn't want to get up and leave the show to get an additional drink. The entertainment was riveting- you can actually see the sparks flying from the weapons! I do staged combat in classes, and I can't imagine the training they must've gone through to be so precise with their actions. Afterwards, there was a fun little dance floor called the ""Knight Club"", and you can meet the royalty and the knights. The torture museum was really cool, too. You wouldn't believe the stuff that's in there! Everyone I talked to was really polite and seemed to be enjoying their work, and enjoying their coworkers as well. I have a friend who works there who said that not only is the Schaumburg location the largest of all the Medieval Times restaurants, but is at the top of the lists for cleanliness and service. They get you really involved and even my reserved, picky mother was standing and cheering, as well as devouring the food. DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED!

Pros: Good parking, accessible and near other large attractions, plenty of room and good service

Cons: The tiered stadium requires handicapped persons to sit in the top row, and anyone having problems with strobe-like lights shouldn't attend.

Went with wife and our two children. The kids LOVED it! The show is approximately 2.5 hours long and revolves around medieval king and his knights. Tables are in sections and represented by a knights color. The dinner is served during the introduction and the story unfolds with performances and games. After dinner the story evolves into finale of jousting and sword-fighting.\r\n\r\nThe dinner is supposed to be authentic medieval served with NO silverware. Non-alcoholic beverages are included in dinner. Alcoholic drinks are available for extra charge. There are souvenirs as well, but they are not forced upon you in any way. Expect to pay at least $100 for basic treatment and more for the add-ons.\r\n\r\nLike I said, the kids loved it. If you are near a Medieval Times, I would recommend going at least once. You won't be sorry.

Medieval Times is one of those places that everyone has to experience atleast once in their lifetime. They have 4 different groups that have a knight fight with the other groups knight. Its a little bit expensive but turns out to be fun in the end.

PROS: Fun

The price is a little high, but the show and the food are excellent! I have visited many times, and each visit has been great. This is a great place to take the children if you are willing to spend the money. I can't wait for the day my children are old enough to attend the dinner show!

The entertainment was great. The actors did a great job. I thought the price of the tickets was fairly steep but you do get dinner with the entertainment. They would only give you 1 refill on your drink and they only served tea, Pepsi or coffee.

This live theater is fun for the whole family. The live performance uses Andalusian horses and jousting knights and is very action packed. The food is good and basic.

I would agree that this place is fun for both kids and adults but it way too overpriced. I don't think it's worth it. You can eat with your hadns at home. his was awsome. You can occasionally find coupons. The entertainment is fun but again, I don't think it's worth the price. It's definitely a fun touristy activity to do thought.

PROS: Easily Accesible
CONS: Expensive

We brought my nephew here for his 5th birthday. The kids loved it, they had a great time chearing on our team. I was pleased that they were able to offer me a vegetarian plate instead of the usual meat dinner. All in all, I think it's a good place to bring kids but if it were just adults I don't think it would be as much fun.

This is definatly a family oriented dinner and a show. Before dinner there is a gift shop and museum you can look through. When you are seated you begin the show and when the food is brought out you only use your hands to eat as there was no silverware in the medieval times. This is a fun and different experience for the kids. I think this whole thing is a little over priced, but you get entertainment and dinner so in some peoples opinions it may not seem like that bad of a deal.

This was awsome. I was very expensive but we had a coupon from the paper. The food is pretty good once you get past eating with your hands. It was so much fun cheering for our night and at the end he won and gave a rose to my daughter. She was so thrilled. The entire family had a good time.

I think this is a good place for kids. I went with a group of adults and thought the show was kind of tacky and the food was terrible. They have a set menu and uncomfortable seats. Definitely not worth the high price paid for entrance.

Priced pretty high, but fun for groups. You eat food with your hands while you watch knights "fight" - you cheer on your knight in hopes he will be the victor. Food good, and it should be for the cost.

Pros: Great Service, Great Show, Fun for everyone

I've been to Medieval Times twice. \nI'm a vegitarian. The menu says vegetable soup, however, the first time I went there the server told me the soup had a chicken base and asked if I still wanted it, I didn't.\n\nThe second time the server didn't say anything, she just filled my soup bowl. Luckely I knew from the first time the soup wasn't vegitarian. That kind of got to me.\n\nThe tip not being included also bugged me. They ask for 20%, but I just don't see a reason behind it. they're not waitors, they're not taking orders, they pass the stuff out and disapear. You can't even get a refill when you want it.\n\nSpeaking of refills. They say you get two drinks with your meal. But they just top off your glass, so if you didn't drink much, you're out of luck.

Pros: Free parking, easy to find, good show

Cons: , tons of "extras", so so service.

.

Only the village idiot would return for a second visit. Way over priced!! Once inside I got tired of being hit up for all the extras. Basic admission was $46 per person for a bland meal and some fair entertainment. Once at the door, you are hit up for an additional $5 per person to sit in the first three rows and receive a cheap flag and/or an additional $2 to walk thru the dungeon. A waiter walked by every 20 minutes or so and put some bland food on your plate. If you wanted any drinks etc you had to get up and get them yourself. Someone was always walking by trying to sell you something. Entertainment was fair.
