Dr. Michael Lessner is here to meet all your dental needs in a professional, caring atmosphere. If you are searching for teeth whitening or need to support your bridges or dentures, Dr. Lessner can provide the dental implants to perfect your smile. They pride themselves on their unique office and style, and welcome you to come visit and see for yourself what makes them stand out from the rest.
Dr. Lessner seems to be a friendly approachable person. However, his hygienist (don't know her name because it wasn't offered), didn't seem to be very interested in her job today. Maybe it's Monday, I'm not sure. She skipped several teeth while cleaning, buffing, or flossing. The whole thing was so fast, I couldn't believe she was done. I know my teeth are in good order, but surely they all deserve a going over? Also there were moments where she stopped working (instruments in my mouth) and just stared out the window. No idea why. I looked too, and there was nothing going on. Anyhow, I've been to 3 dentists in my life, and yes there have been hygienists I've liked more than others, but this lady just bewilders me.
Pros: Nice dentist
Cons: Bad hygienist

I went there around April/ May 2008. The border between two of my molars had blackish caries. For the initial check-up, I got an instant appointment; but to actually get the teeth fixed, I had to wait around 1.5 months. (I was not warned of this delay when I enquired about when I can visit.)
----------------------------------
Dr. Lessner did a very dissatisfactory job. He did not use the right tools/ cast while doing the filling. Food used to always get stuck in the place where he did the filling. It was quite horrible. When I went back to India, showed it to my dentist (a far more *skilled*, nicer and inexpensive person), he commented on the bad workmanship, removed the old filling, used the right tools and did the job right. One year later, there are no problems.
----------------------------------
The attitude of Dr. Lessner and *some* of his staff was very unpleasant. He did not make me feel comfortable in asking questions. He just made a show of brusquely asking "Do you have any questions?" and rushed to his next appointment.
----------------------------------
I get the feeling that he takes students from UT for granted, especially international ones. I aint going there again.
Pros: Close to UT campus
Cons: Long delay, poor workmanship, discourtesy

Dr Lessner and crew are awesome. He became my dentist when I was referred to him for a second opinion.
I never looked back. He advised me to wait out some pain instead of a root canal and he was right.
Thanks to him and his conservative approach I still have my 2 front teeth!!!!
Pros: central and great dentist and staff
Cons: parking sometimes gets tough

Dr. Lessner has been my dentist for many years. He is not only a quality dentist but a real quality person. He is principled and honest. His office staff is kind and personable. I know that his dental assistant, hygenist, and office manager have all been with him for over ten years. I think that says a lot about how he handles his practice and person. He also keeps a very timely office. If your appointment is at 2:00 you will be seen at 2:00! If you need a great dentist, he's the real deal.
Pros: friendly, family-like office. Dr. gives best shots ever. You never feel them! Very timely office.
Cons: parking lot in back is sometimes full but staff can adjust cars so everyone can fit!

Dr. Lessner is very capable, and has a way to put people at ease. His assistants/hygenists are great, and his entire staff have been with him forever, so they are pretty happy also.
