If you're planning on commuting to this school, you best get there before 9:00 AM. Anywhere later than 9 AM, and you'll find yourself having to park all the way out in the boonies and having to walk yourself a mile or 2 just to get to your class. Most students that been going here for awhile are aggressive drivers. If you're one of those non aggressive driver, you probably won't ever get a parking space and have to hike. This has got to be one of the easiest schools to get a degree as well. Way too easy for a lot of students to be cheating and getting away with it. Tuition here at this school is kind of outrageous considering the amount of education you can actually get out of this place which is from my experience, not much. Tuition here is almost 3 grand for just 4 classes, it has increased greatly in the past couple of years and continues to increase.

Granted, UTA may comes off as a commuter school, but it still has great education for engineering, business, and nursing majors. (Lot of other majors as well.)
Personally with the electrical engineering department, UTA has a great staff for teaching that defeinetely cares about the students.
For other options on classes ir just stuff to do, UTA has great exercise facilites, bowling, billiards, (they used to have an arcade they replaced with a karaoke/live band set up ... not a good idea ... but their choice), dancing, and many sports options on college level and genereal intramural.
Also hard to argue with a school that has low tuition rates for Texas students.
PROS: tuition, general teaching, facilities
CONS:

UT Arlington has one of the nation's best engineering programs at a very affordable price (for colleges these days). They've improved the availablity of student housing from when I graduated. The biggest drawback is that they are forgetting about academics in trying to move from a commuter school to the traditional 4-year students live on campus model. UTA has had strong academic programs; forget a football team.
PROS: price, academics
CONS: trying to become big league and losing focus
