Hudson Steve - Bee Caves Pediatrics Pa

I've been taking our kids to this practice since 1997. The physicians and PA are all great and I've never had any issues with the quality of care. This is a busy practice so for routine visits (such as checkups) you will need to schedule in advance. But when a kid is sick, they can always get them in that day, often in a very short time.

They have accepted all of our insurances through the years. The immunization policy for flu shots isn't that much different from other providers. Some insurance co's don't reimburse at all or have poor payments for immunizations, so sometimes it's better to go elsewhere for these. It costs them money to order, stock and administer immunizations, and they have a difficult time recouping their costs. For all but the most routine immunizations that you know will be covered, you may opt to go elsewhere.

I give them five stars based upon the quality of care. I don't think it gets any better.

Oh and btw - the physician named above is Jerome Hudson, not Steve Hudson, and he is but one of the doctors in the practice.

Their flu shot policy is very very odd. They want you to pay first, which I do understand, but they will ask you to sign a consent form saying you will NOT file a claim for the shot.

I questioned them about this. And they said they don't want to deal with insurance company (OK I understand this part, so I can file the claim myself). But then they said even if the insurance company reimburse the money to them instead of to patients directly, they won't return it to the patients What this policy basically says: I want you money and something extra if your insurance company accidentally/intentionally to reimburse through us. What the hell this policy is? I think I am going to transfer my daughter out of this stupid clinic. They put their money first before everything, which make me very mad.

These guys are crooks. They join insurance provider networks, but then charge you more than the fees they agreed to in their insurance contract. Stay away.

We have been going to Bee Caves Pediatrics for 7 years and have been pleased with the treatment and care given to our children. The physicians are supportive of breastfeeding. They work with your family to choose the method of treatment that fits your lifestyle. The only reason I did not rate them a 5 is that they are a busy practice and sometimes the physicians seem rushed .

PROS: Knowledgeable, caring, supportive
CONS: large practice
