Everyone at the Boardwalk Volkswagen was extremely helpful and friendly. My sales consultant, Gary Blakely, was great throughout the entire process. Very honest and helpful and never pushy as I had experienced with other dealerships. The financial manager was also a huge help in determining whether to lease or to buy. This was my first car purchase, and everyone there made it very enjoyable. I will definitely be recommending this dealership!

I was able to not only apply for my loan online prior to visiting, but I was able to email, and instant message all for the information to get the deal set up. I would highly recommend this dealership to ANYONE in the market for a vehicle. It amazes me that within a 90 minute timeframe, the sale was complete. The metroplex needs to be made aware of your professionalism, respect, and promptness.

Over all a great experience. Zakari took really good care of me. I went in looking for a black pre-owned Passat and a set budget. They had preowned Passats but none in black. Zakari an I ended up walking pass a 2010 that met all my requirements and I instantly fell in love. Being a recent graduate from college I thought I couldn't afford it, but VW has a college grad program (who knew). I got the car of my dreams zero down and what I wanted to pay a month. Now I'm a proud owner of a 2010 black on black Volkswagen Passat at age 20. Thanks to Zakari at Boardwalk VW in Richardson. Go see him.

I needed a mirror housing for the passenger side mirror. I was told that it would cost $115 - $120. I was told that the part "just snapped on". After making arrangements to get the part from their parts dept and get them to paint it ( Why didn't the Kenny Smith the service Advisor do that for me?) I showed up at my appointment time. I had already paid for the part so Kenny was going to get the price for labor. He came back and said " we'll take care of it" which I took as free since he did not state a price and had previously said " it just snaps on" After waiting an hour and a half in the waiting room.... I get a bill that includes $76 in labor. That is right $76 to "snap it on" Kenny replied they had to attach it with 2 screws. 2 SCREWS!! and he thinks that justifies $76? Oh by the way they also took the time to put it up on the rack and inspect it so they could give me a list of things I should have them do to the car. Yeah right!

It is not that it is a lot of money, I am glad it was not in for a major repair. I am just sick and tired of being over charged.

I told Kenny Smith I would not be back again. They do not know how to treat customers.

STAY AWAY--I bought two vehicles from Boardwalk and totally trusted the dealership. I purchased a bug in 2006 and a Jetta in '08. I was ready to close the deal when the dealer PUSHED me the tires for life program. At first I balked, but for $1200 I thought that it would be a pretty good deal, even though I only planned to have my car a few years. I purchased the program. IOn schedule, every 5000 miles, I not only had my oil changed at Boardwalk (at a MUCH HIGHER RATE) but I also had my tires rotated in order to maintain my part of the contract. 14 months later, I am needing new tires--and the contract is not honored by Boardwalk because the 3rd party vendor, Millenium, is no longer in business. I could understand Boardwalk not wanting to honor the contract had I been the one who was trying to get something for nothing, or purchased online or from someone selling this type of protection door to door. I bought the protection totally trusting Boardwalk because I thought they were reputable. DO NOT GO TO BOARDWALK. RUN--DO NOT GO TO BOARDWALK> STAY AWAY--they chose not to honor a product which was sold and endorsed and pushed to sell to their customers. SAD.

If anyone is looking for a VW I would suggest going to Boardwalk VW in Richardson and asking for Shane Blakley.My daughter bought a used VW yesterday.We went to look at one that was already sold and he helped find another that was even nicer. The service department is open till midnight which is awesome for us as we have very busy schedules during the day. They have a comfortable waiting lounge with tv and coffee. All I could ask for in sales and service. i continually reccomend this dealer to every one I know that is looking for any kind of car! Good job Boardwalk keep it up. As for the first review....it doesnt sound like that is a very happy person..

Do NOT buy a car from Boardwalk VW and do NOT service your VW at this location. My husband bought his 2nd VW from this location, because they could not fix his first car. Upon purchasing our new car, the agent wrote the contract wrong, with a higher sales price. He rushed us through and did not explain anything. We returned a few days later to get a new contract drawn. The agent was less than happy to help us. A few months after the purchase, the sunroof got stuck opened. We took it in and they "fixed" it. A month later, the radio went out. VW assured us that we would get a new radio in a few days. We called and called, but nobody could give us status on the radio. Two weeks later, we went to VW and was told that the radio sat in their office for a week and had to return it to the manufacturer because WE did not call to check status. A week after that, the sunroof glass busted while driving down the highway. Glass shattered all over the car. We took the car in and they said it was not covered under our warranty, because they could not prove that we did not break it ourselves. They still could not give us status on the radio. We had to call our insurance company to cover the sunroof. At first, they told us that it was just the glass needing to be replaced...but ended up being the whole sunroof needing to be replaced ($1,800). The service managers push blame on other service managers and we are very unhappy. WE WILL NEVER RETURN....after we receive our radio. I did not even want to give this dealership a 1-star rating, but the field was required. They deserve 0 stars!!!

WOW, absolutely hands down the best and easiest car buying experience ever. My sales person Gary Blakley was first class and the Sales Manager Darren Davis took the time to come out of his office and make sure that my family and I were properly taken care of! Best place I have ever been. Open until midnight during the week. They have two full services shifts and can always accommodate your needs. They are courteous and work with you as much as possible. All my repairs have been done first class and usually the day I take it in. Appointments are preferred, but walkin's are handled ASAP for the convenience of the customer.
