Good for price

by Madnira S. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 1,000

Walking down their food bar, you can pick exactly what you want and how much of it, so by that token it is very user-friendly and prices are not bad at all.

Good Mediterranean Food

by Eric P. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 289

In my opinion, Fadis serves the best Mediterranean food in Houston. This is a good place to go for lunch or dinner and they also do a good job with large parties.

Love This Fadi's Location

by Jennifer M. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 1,568

Fadi's Mediterranean Grill is Houston's worst kept secret among people who love Arabic food. The high-traffic location on Westheimer Road guarantees a large crowd.

Diners nosh on kebab platters, baked chicken or fish, shawerma (Arabic sandwiches) and vegetable dips like hummus. Fadi's also offers many options for vegetarians.
The freshly baked pita is always a treat. Also, don't forget to try the fresh fruit juices.

Although it's a small place, the owners liven up the decor with elaborate Arabic-style lighting fixtures and pretty tables.

great food

by distorted

Fadi's is truly exceptional in my opinion. Even though everything is served buffet style, it is some of the most delicious food in Houston. I have yet to have a bad dining experience here.

When my fianc? and I are married, the food that is served at the reception will be Fadi's.

Pros: everything

Cons: nothing

Great, even after Ike

by englishalien

Having decided to visit after hurricane Ike, Fadi's was unfortunately without power... but that didn't take away from the dishes that were still on offer and the friendly service my girlfriend and I recieved. As vegetarians, new veggie dishes always excite us and Fadi's didn't disappoint with their unusual and somewhat spicy offerings. The buffet style service is great for choosing exactly what you want, and the prices were very reasonable. The decor and vibe of the place itself also works in its favour, with a real mediterranean feel. We'll definitely go again in the future as their full 'pre-Ike' menu is meant to include a ton of choices. Whatever you get, make sure you try their homemade pita breads with hummus - delicious!

A pigeon in Fadis'? Yes.

by pritikina

My wife and ate at the Fadi's on Westheimer and Dunvale. Everything was fine and tased good. Until of course my wife looked up and noticed a pigeon at the top the wall. We sat at opposite side from the line where you give your order. I walked over to the cooks and asked "Who is the manager?" He mentioned she was at the register so I walk to her and waited until she finished with the customer. I said, "There is a pigeon on top of the wall." She ignored me and started to ring up the next customer. I said, "There's a bird, a pigeon in you restaurant. It's like having a r@t in your restaurant." Well, she continued to ignore me so my wife and I left. We will noy be going back. It's one thing to have a pest problem, but quite another to act indifference and aloof when a customer advises you of a pest in your restaurant.

Exellent Middle Eastern Food

by ms_liz_ms

I've been here several times, as well as the location in Meyerland. Consistantly yummy. Lots of variety. Everything is hot and fresh. I love the falafel sandwiches, humas, freshly bakes pita, and all the salads. I try to try a new dish everytime I go. Last time is was some sort of fried mashed potatoes. God, I don't know what was in there, but it was amazing! I'm always happy to go to this place.

Pros: Variety, fresh, hot

Cons: a little pricey

Good Fast Mediterranean

by koreanberry

They serve food a la carte style here, starting with the breads, then with the vegetables, and then with the meat and dessert. Prices are a little higher, but then again I've never really seen really cheap Mediterranean around (that tasted good). Taste quality is okay, but the portions are huge. 2 people could eat off of one plate and be okay.

Plenty of seating and parking.

Pros: Decent food, quick and fast

Cons: A little pricy, loud and could get crowded

The worst restaurant ever!

by masterofzsky

My friends and I went to this restaurant last night and all we have to say about it is "BLAND FOOD with BAD SERVICE and a VERY $$$$$ PRICES for a NOT SO MEDITERRANEAN FOOD"
after all It is more like fast food buffet or even Luby's cafeteria style in some middle-eastern flavor.

Pros: JUST THE NAME MEDITERRANEAN........

Cons: THE FLAVOR OF THE FOOD!!

NOT GOING TO MAKE THAT MISTAKE AGAIN!!!

by jarob716

OK, so I grew up over in Saudi Arabia and Lebanese food has always been my favorite food. When I moved to Houston, everyone I knew said I would definately find some of the best, most authentic Lebanese food around! Well, after trying some of the other Lebanese/ Middle Eastern places around, I finally had my chance to try Fadi's! Wow! That was a mistake I will never make again. For starters, the pita is definately made fresh, but a far cry from any pita I ever got back in Saudi!! It reminded me of a slightly thinner version of foccacia! Way to thick!! The hummus was absolutely the worst hummus I have ever had! The Baba Ghanouge really had a very funky taste, and the Tabuli was way to oily and tasteless.
Ok, so the Kibbi and grape leaves were not bad, and the Falafel was pretty good. They had none of the meat (samboosik), spinach (fatayer), , or cheese (sbanegh wa jebni) pies on the day we went, which was a diasappointment. The Beef Shawerma was one of the worst shawerma sandwiches I have ever eaten. Had the right bread, but everything else about it was terrible.
The absolutely worst part of this experience was the fact that I had a friend with me who I finally convinced to try Lebanese food. She was not at all impressed, and I was rather embarassed to have made her first introduction a bad experience.
Save yourself time and money...for real good , and closest to authentic Lebanese food, go to either Droubi's over on Hillcroft, or Cafe Lilli over on Westheimer.

Pros: DO NOT HAVE TO DRESS UP.

Cons: THE FOOD!

Hits the spot!

by texas_flood

Fadi's always has fresh food, always made right. I give them a lot of kudos for taking the time to do everything the authentic way. Compared to actual restaurants in Lebanon, I'd say Fadi's actually stands up to the middle quality places. You're not gonna get food that tastes like your grandmother made it special for you, or what you get at some of the most favored restaurants in Beirut, but you won't be disappointed. Preparing Middle Eastern food is time consuming, and requires the best ingredients. Many places in the States skimp on this, so you end up with pretty unsatisfying food. Fadi's may be a little pricier, but why do you think the food is better? Do you think the 2-3 people dedicated to nothing but bread preparation are volunteers, or that keeping an inventory on site that allows everything to be made fresh on site daily is cheap? When I'm hungry, and I'm in the neighborhood, I don't hesitate to go to Fadi's. Usually everyone is happy with that. But because it is kind of a cafeteria, and cafeteria level food, I wouldn't give it 5 stars.

Pros: Authentic, made without cutting corners, fresh bread and manaeesh

Cons: Not like home cooked food, no table service.

Great Food, but prices are unrealisticly high

by delicatessecritic

Middle eastern food, especially the one that is found at Fadi's is known as fast food. But having to spend over 10 dollars per dish is unacceptable. I would recommend for this restaurant to overhauld their Cost Accounting to make it a better price to value ratio. One thing I truly like about the restaurant is their atmosphere, how they display the food, and the friendliness of the staff. Cleanliness is definetly a must for a restaurant, but I believe that Fadi's does a good job in cleaning their restaurant. I restrooms need sometimes a little more cleaning, but it is acceptable considering how many people frequent the restaurant. The fresh juice section is great, but sometimes lacks variety. The fish, rice with butter, and lamb shanks are great. The hummus and babaganush is great!! I have catered numerous times for events at my home from Fadi's and I believe the two brothers do a great job in it! KUDOS!!! Keep the middle eastern food real, as what you serve is fast food. Please try to lower your prices accordingly. I know you export import food from the middle east, that means you get ingredients much cheaper, try to reflect that. As such i give you only 3 stars.

Pros: Great Food,

Cons: Price is too high for Middle Eastern Fast Food

Variety of Mediterranean food

by leexjd

My favorite thing about Fadi's was the sheer number of foods they have to choose from, including salads and desserts. I liked the bread, hummus and lamb that I had, though I would have preferred the lamb a bit warmer. The desserts were so good, my friend went back for a second one. I was a little intimidated by the cafeteria style, but we'll still be back.

Pros: authentic food

Cons: a little expensive

Good place for a quick and easy bite of mediterranean

by mousse_monster

My family and I always go here when we want a quick bite of mediterranean. It's easy and quick. The kebabs are tender, the hummus yummy. I usually get the vege platter where they pile on pretty much whatever you want. Always a good stand by for casual dining.

Now THIS is great Mediterranean food!

by abain

Best pita ever! Delicious food with generous portions and reasonable prices. Everything's mouth-wateringly delectable: the hummus, the falafel, the fish, even the tossed salad. Pretty loud in there but as charming as is possible in a shopping center and food is more than worth it! Don't expect lavish service, though: no waiters; you seat yourself and serve your own drink.

Pros: The Food!

Cons: Scrambling to find a table when others not yet served save seats

I love love love this place!

by tx07

This is probably the best value in Houston- for about $10 you get more food than you could possibly eat. It is all fresh and there is always an interesting variety of meats and salads, as well as the usual staples. It can be kind of intimidating to go through the line for the first time, but it goes smoothly and the food is worth it! My only complaint is that they recently started charging extra for extra pita, but this is definitely not a big deal and I will continue to be a regular!

Pros: excellent, affordable food

If you're looking for Mediterranian food, look no farther. Fadi's has excellent food that is always fresh and tasty. It has by far the best hummas I have had anywhere. The only drawback is that hte bread is not always hot. However, the serving sizes are great and the environment is clean and family-oriented. The food is Halal as well.

Authentic Lebanese

by hugoboss

Finally a real Lebanese cuisine! Many others claim to be Lebanese, but they are not. Fadi's is good, very good, fresh, authentic food. The Tabouleh is a winner, the babaghanoug is excellent, the kabobs are superior, the bread is fantastic and baked fresh on premise. The selection of deserts is amazing, I could go on and on. Too bad one can't eat everything... (at the same time) Although the prices are a bit expensive and they seem to ring them up differently everytime, the staff is very friendly, welcoming and helpful. I love the Meyerland location. Great job Fadi's.

Pros: free parking, clean , fresh & tasty food, wide variety of food

Cons: price a bit high, table set up too long

I went there for some lamb kebab but they weren't serving any that day! I instead had the lamb shank which was very tender.. I was hoping for some more flavor in it though. The hummus is very good!

Hummus-licious!

by yellobear

When I first tried out Fadi's a few months ago, I was pretty apprehensive about selecting my dishes. But, the staff is friendly and patient, especially with first timers, and I've been a regular ever since. Great food, and huge portions and cheap. What else can you ask for?

Pros: food, inexpensive

Cons: cashier

The Real Deal

by shilky

If you want the real stuff, cheap, go to Fadi's. I used to like Dimassi's more, but now that Fadi's has expanded their location at Westheimer and Dunvale, I wouldn't go anywhere else. The atmosphere and the food improved greatly after the reopening. Their hummus alone - such a simple dish, really - is worth the trip. Go to Fadi's! It's great!

Pros: great prices, fresh, delicious food, pretty interior

Cons: rude patrons, service lacks a bit

Flawless Mediterranean Food

by Han_Ooi

Fadi's has always had what I consider to be the best Mediterranean Food in Houston. Their salads are always very fresh and a wonderful visual presentation to the customer.

Their lamb and kebabs are also fabulously cooked to the point of perfection. The flavors are both natural, subtle, and wonderful.

Recently, Fadi's has been expanding. The current restaurant was just renovated thus doubling the space. Before, the restaurant was too crowded. Also, a second Fadi's has opened on 610 and Beechnut.

My wife and I go to both Fadi's often whenever we want flagship Mediterranean food at a reasonable price.

Pros: great food, visual feast, fresh breads

Cons: small kebab portions

Lovin it!

by ambreen

Fadi's is a wonderful Middle Eastern restaurant. Not only is the food DELISH!, it is also cost efficient.
The environment and the crowd is very pleasing as well. Very tranquil with a bit of Middle East culture clash.

A great lunch meet up, I would say. :)
