I have been a customer for over 5 years. I did not have a problem with my purchases, but my sister has had major problem with a stove she purchased from them. When I was trying to make another purchase I was turned down after having paid off all my purchases. When I tried to contact them about it, they just closed my ticket without even giving me a comment or reason. THIS IS POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I purchased a dryer in 2010 from Conns and it broke literally about 1 month before the warranty was up and i was about to purchase an extended warranty and it broke on New Years Eve....It is now Feb.8,2011 and it is still broken!!! The repairman came out twice and ordered the wrong part.I am so frustrated i have 5 children and i have to go to a laundry mat to get dry clothes due to this horrible customer service!!! Im about to purchase a new refrigarator and guess what? IT WILL NOT COME FROM CONN'S!!!!!!

I spent over $1,400.00 on a Sony LCD TV that did not work straight out of the box. No big deal, things happen. I took it apart and put it all back into it's original packaging (no easy task) and returned it to the store so I could exchange it.

To make a VERY long story short, they would NOT exchange it for another one unless I paid a 15% "re-stocking fee". My only other option was to have it repaired (which means I get a "re-built" TV for full price).

I have had to take 2 days off from work in order to meet the repairmen and have yet to have a working TV.

I have purchased many things from many places and returned items a number of times and, provided they were in their original packaging and I had a receipt and less that 30 days had expired, I NEVER had any problems (Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Target, Home Depot, Lowes, to name just a few).

Go ANYWHERE but Conn's for your next purchase.

Thanks for letting me vent my frustration.

I purchased a 50" from Conns july 27 2006. The first year Iwas without a tv for more than 8 weeks, When Paul said to replace the tv I waited for several days for a new tv or someone to call me. I finally called and was told because it was less than 1 year old samsung would have to handle the replacement. I did not y it from Samsung but Conns. No respopnse from .Conns. I got Samsung to replace it. The new one had much the same problem as the first one. Several technicians and bulbs light engines etc I was told by a technician I needed a new light engine. I have a very expensive service contract on my tv. Every technecian who has been here has tried to get the office to change the modle number in their files to match replacement tv. The home office has refuced to update the information to match my replacement tv. I found out why today. I was told the light engine for my tv is no longer available. I contactedt Conns to have them replace my tv under my service contract. They told me I would have to deal with Samsung because my modle number is not the modle number they have on file.So tough s..t if the light engine is not available. They haveno record of Paul telling them to replace the tv or a record of their refusal to do so. They happily took my money for the renewal of the contract of he tv in my house. Conned by Conns

CONN'S ON 290 & 34TH STREET DON'T STAND BEHIND THERE PRODUCT!!!!!!!!!
I have callled and called to speak with someone in the store about a TV I bought and broke within a few days. I was dumb enough to believe the salesperson that if I got the warranty that they stand behind it. Well, that is not true. first the repairman did not show up when it was scheduled. I bought a 42' LG LCD flat screen that was suppose to come in the following week. But it was on back order for 2 months and i didnt find that out until about 3 or 4 phones calls to ask when I would get it. Finally when they told me that I couldnt get it until Oct. when I purchased it in Sept. the manager said he would exchange it for something they had in stock. Unfortuntely I had to settle for a 40' LCD Sony. I realize now that Sony is a better manufacturer but I lost 2 inches and had to wait almost 3 weeks and the tech. who sold me the tv was never available. Word to the wise use Conn's prices to get Sears to reduce theirs! Plus i almost missed the beginning of football season. Don't play with a man's tv during football season!

This business is very unprofessional. Had a service appt. scheduled yesterday and sat all day waiting on them, no show, did not even call to say as to why they did not show. Stay away from this company. Don't waste your time or money!

the only thing i like about conns is the very very nice sales lady (doris) that has helped me. not only is she professional but treats you like a friend and doesn't push you into a purchase. having said that... that is he only positive thing about conns. for the last 6 months they have messed up on my account saying i have several accounts open .. i only have one. month after month when i make my payment over the phone (their not setup online another inconvenience) they ask the same question ( which account wold you like to pay on) , theres never a supervisor available and never a follow up call. after 6 month i finally talked to a manager who saw that there was a problem but said he couldn't fix it, i would have to go into a store. this is difficult for me due to health problems. i hope someone Else will read this and the other reviews and it will save them alot of headaches! if i could give conns less than one star it still would be too much.

A built in microwave was purchased the last part of Feb 2009 and installed in March. The control panel went out of it and Conn's will not do anything about it. Buyers beware of Conn's as they do not honor their warranty!!I will never purchase from them again. I give them the worst rating possible.

I have purchased over $20,000.00 worth appliances and electronics from Conn's over the years. I have never felt so unappreciated when their service dept.had me take 2 days off from work and never show up for the service call. I am from St Martinville Louisiana. Purchased an A/C there July 2008 and the a/c was defective. It was purchased at Ambassador Caffery in Lafayette, Louisiana. The other day I slid into the Conn's on 290 and 34th to pick up a small item that was advertised in the local paper. Against my better judgment (the whole place is a total throwback to the late 80s...with creepy sales staff), I proceeded with the sale but decided to pay with cash when they insisted on me giving them all my personal information (which I didn't give them the correct info, but, what the hey, it's just a $30 item). After the sale, the overly-odd salesman nearly insisted on carrying it to the car for me; this I thought was going too far.

To avoid him 'assisting me', I took it off the counter (with receipt in hand), thanked him and walked out of the store. Once in the car, I looked in my rear-view mirror and, 5 feet behind the car (which is way out in the parking lot), is the salesman writing down my license plate number.

It didn't hit me at first what he was doing until I drove away.

In today's world of identity theft, this is way over the line of information that a company should need for a cash sale. Reading on the internet, this is not a isolated case of this occurring; it's happened to multiple people.

From here on out, I'll only do business with companies that don't do snoopy mess like this for a measly $30 cash purchase.

Conn's has the worst service in Houston, we purchased a freezer from them, called out a service technician who came out at said the rubber needed to be replaced, after 4 different technicians came out because the freezer is still doing the same thing, I continue to call and the last person came out said we would need a new door, he would place the order and we would have it in about a week. I called to follow up with customer service and they told me the door was damaged by Fed-EX, I called back the next day and was told a door was never ordered, I continue to call and ask for a supervisor, Chuck who is never in and cannot have messages left on his voice mail. I've left messages for him and to date no return call. I even has for a supervisor and they told me Gerald, who always seem to be at lunch or out of the office. No return call yet. I've even sent letters to the Chuck and the president, Frank and to-date no type of response. I called today and they said the part was ordered on Feb 10Th and it will take 6-8 weeks before it comes in. Conn's customer service is the worst I've ever seen, they just seem to place false ad about service because they are full of lies and their customer service staff is horrible.
