Take off your shoes and watch chefs prepare a traditional Hibachi dinner, complete with knife juggling and a flaming onion volcano. Grills at every table allow chefs to not simply cook and serve your food, but toss it, flip it and sometimes even throw it into your mouth. Serving dinner nightly to couples and large groups, Kobe Steaks offers a menu of grilled steak, chicken, seafood and vegetables. Each dinner comes with a shrimp appetizer, soup, salad, rice, sherbet and green tea. Relax before or after dinner in their cocktail lounge where drinks like Samurai's Sword or the Geisha Special are served alongside Japanese and domestic bottled beer. The restaurant has both semi-private rooms for groups and the traditional sunken tables for smaller parties. Come to Kobe Steaks and get not only a quality dinner, but a dinner served with flair.
I have been going to this place ever since I was a little girl..the food is amazing! Especially their fried rice and Japanese ketchup! I recommend their chicken and shrimp in the creamy wine sauce for your main dish!

This is one of my favorite places to go in Dallas. Newly redecorated about a year ago - the food is just as good as it has been for fifteen years. I go quite a lot, and sometimes the chef is not talkative, (I have seen all the entertainment ideas so many times I don't need to see the smoking "choo-choo" ever again) but either way the food is usually very good. I love the ginger dressing and get an extra ramekin of it on the side to dip my sesame chicken in. My daughters have loved this place since they were kids and still enjoy going. The only thing I dislike is the two special tables where they make you take off your shoes before you eat. We get around this by asking for a regular table. Great place!

Too bad you can't give them a lower rating than 1 star!! We were at this restaurant last evening (4-26-09) for dinner. Although I was there about a year ago and was disappointed, I had decided to give them another chance. They have now had my last chance. The food was less than mediocre. As a matter of fact, it was awful! The fried rice was tasteless. The bean sprouts tasted like they had not been washed properly and were gritty!...they tasted like dirt and no other flavor or seasoning. My daughters filet, which she asked for medium rare, was almost raw. He had already turned the grill off when she tasted the first bite and so it was too late to correct it. Our chef had NO personality and NO entertainment skills. He missed every trick he tried to do and never even greeted us when he came to the table. He did not say one word to us the entire time except to ask how we wanted our meat cooked. It was a complete disaster to say the least. We had brought some friends with us who had never eaten there and they said they would never go back either as their chicken and shrimp dish was overcooked. If you want a truly incredible Japanese steakhouse then go to Kyoto in Rowlett, TX. It is more than worth the drive!!!"

We've eaten at Kobe many times and are never disappointed. The food and atmosphere are great - not to mention the Kake No Tane crackers they serve at the tables in the bar area. Great service and even better food!

Awsome Time! We haven't been in a while. I love the food and the fun-filled atmosphere! It was better than I remembered! The only problem is the long wait on the weekends.

I went to Kobe Steaks with several of my friends for my birthday and it was the best experience I've ever had! After the renovation, the lounge was so nice and cozy. The food and service is good as always. The new thing I experienced was the birthday cake my friends got... it had our edible picture on it~!! Its something you want to try!!
Pros: Great food and picture cake!
Cons: None that I can think of

MY FAMILY & I HAVE BEEN GOING HERE FOR OVER 10 YEARS NOW & HAVE NEVER HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE. THE FOOD IS ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL & MOST CHEFS ARE VERY ENTERTAINING. IT IS SORT OF PRICY & THE WAIT IS LONG ON NIGHTS YOU CAN'T MAKE RESERVATIONS (FRI & SAT) BUT IT IS DEFINITELY WORTH IT! THEIR SPECIALTY DRINKS ARE ALSO VERY GOOD (MY FAVORITES ARE KOBE RUM PUNC.H, GEISHA SPECIAL & SAMURAI SWORD)
Pros: ATMOSPHERE, FOOD, ENTERTAINMENT
Cons: WAIT IS 2+ HOURS SOMETIMES ON WEEKENDS
