I have been a happy parent at Primrose so far but their policies could use some flexibility. I have to say that the teachers are really nice but the management makes all the decisions. My 18 month old daughter usually eats a heavy breakfast but one day she was playful and didn't eat anything. They happened to have a morning snack that she didn't eat either. I asked them for a substitute snack just that one time(since she hadn't eaten anything since the previous night) and they refused saying that they will not deviate from the menu. They'd rather let her starve for few more hours than change their policy for just that one time. I am not the kind of parent that constantly complains or expects special attention for my kid, it was really such a small issue and a one time request but they chose to adhere to their iron clad rules.

Stay away from here if you expect even a tiny bit of flexibility.

Ratings_icons They made our child miserable

After carefully considering several preschools in the Round Rock Forest Creek area we chose Primrose. The environment seemed welcoming at first and clean and we had read good reviews about it. Sadly they made our child miserable. Their rigid attitude and high ratio classes didn't leave any room for a child to express him/herself. After many months it became obvious that our child was stressed and unhappy. High staff turnover was also unsettling. Management often made our family feel unappreciated. I would also question their high bi-annual "equipment fees". In comparison Goddard ticks all the boxes and more.

I disagree with the two low star reviews on this school. Primrose School of Round Rock has been a wonderful school for my two boys (3.5 years and 1.5 years). I get phone calls from the director when ever they have any concern, big or small. Mrs Judy Martinez is very personal, honest and caring. Mrs Judy always has a new story to tell me about my youngest and my older son is thriving in his classroom. He loves all the different and fun things he gets to do everyday. I'm amazed at how much he and my youngest have learned. The tuition is a bit higher than other schools, but it is worth it. My kids are very confident, happy and well adjusted kids and I know that Primrose has played a key part in their development. I picked Primrose out of the other day-cares I visited because they made me feel like I was part of a family, not just a number. Don't over look this school, there is a good reason why the waiting list is 6-9+ months.

Ratings_icons The best daycare in Round Rock

Maria R.

I am very proud to say that our two sons attend Primrose and we are completely happy with the service that Primrose has been providing. My older son has been in other daycare facilities in Round Rock and I know horrible. Mrs. Kiehl and Mrs. Martinez have been the best directors that I have ever dealt with. They do not ignore parent complaints or issues and they resolve issues quickly. The communication with this school has been the best and when I call to check on my kids they tell me how the kids are doing, and they are honest. As for the fees, I strongly believe that with daycare, what you pay for is what you get. I know that when my children are dropped off they are being cared for and that they will have a productive day, the kids really do learn at this school. I have researched many daycare facilities and I believe that we have found the best place for our children. If you are looking for a clean school, friendly staff and great curriculum, this is the best place for your child.

Not only is this one of the most expensive daycares in the area it is in my opinion one of the worst. The staff is rude and unhelpful. Whenever I ask any questions about my sons day I have received short answers and no feedback that was positive. I would never recommend this daycare!

If you want to send your child to a safe, nuturing learning program, this is the place for your child. My son has been attending for a year and is blossoming. The staff are wonderful. The student/teacher ratio is low and the facilities are immaculate. The curriculum is based on what Primrose calls Balanced Learning and it works. There is time spent during child directed and teacher directed learning. My child has learned so much and he thinks it is fun. He even comes home raving about the healthy snacks and lunches. I would recommend this program either part time or full time. In addition, programs in music, Spanish, and sports are just a few extra-curricular activities offered at an extra fee. The pricing is comprable to other quality preschool programs. There are classrooms for infants up to pre-kindergarten as well as an after-school program for kindergartners.

Ratings_icons The best childcare in Round Rock

momtoaande

We highly recommend Primrose Schools, I have zero complaints and I am a very picky parent. From management to teachers, they do a great job. I wish we had found them sooner. Mrs. Kiehl is the best director that I have dealt with, the staff is professional, the kids are well cared for and taught well. The school is very clean and really teach the kids about good hygiene.
When looking for childcare in Round Rock they are number 1.

Pros: everything is great

Cons: sometimes parking during peak times
