Everything is not as rosy at this Primrose franchise as some individuals may believe.
Particularly when looking through the eyes of a 4 year old with Hirschsprung s Disease.
In short, this youngster has been the target of teasing by fellow classmates; now numbering over 20 children. From my point of view, a class of teenagers this size is too large for the teachers to properly supervise and manage.
The individuals responsible for this class of children, while not openly abusing this youngster, are neglecting him and his special needs. Which in one sense is abusive behavior., as they do not, I repeat ,do not assist with his toileting needs. As a result when the parents pick him up he is often walking around in a poopy diaper. Or wearing clean clothing over encrusted excrement; extending from the middle of his back to his ankles.
The director at this particular school is more than willing to take over $200.00 a week to keep this youngster enrolled. But on the other hand appears to be powerless to enforce any provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
A concerned grand-parents, I would suggest that if you are considering this day-school , look elsewhere. We would consider home-school for this youngster to help him through this difficult period. But like many older Americans, we are still working to make ends meet.

Our 2 1/2 year old daughter has been at Primrose for almost a year now and has truly blossomed under their love and care! She sings her ABC's, counts to 10 in Spanish, and her vocabulary has grown by leaps and bounds. She also really enjoys all the fun extra activities they do, her favorite so far has been Western Day when they dressed up as cowboys/girls and rode ponies! They also made the transition to her next class so easy and pleasant for all involved-she literally pushes me out the door in the mornings and talks about her friends and wonderful teachers all the way home. Primrose is the only place for us!!

My 1-year-old attends Primrose School of Round Rock. She absolutely loves going to school. Just this morning, she sat by the door to the garage waiting for me to pack her up and take her to play with her friends. The teachers are incredible and I especially appreciate that they let me know how she's progressing (for example what new signs she's using or how much better she is at socializing with the other babies). If you're looking for a safe, happy place to take your little one, I highly recommend Primrose!

I have a 3yr old who goes to Primrose fulltime and a 6yr old in the after school program. We relocated and our kids had a tough time transitioning. The teachers and staff at Primrose made our transition smooth. My kids both love going to school everyday and all of the activities that Primrose provides (ie. gymnastics, piano, etc).

I have mixed reviews about this school. The facility is always sparkling clean, good equipment, excellent play area, friendly and professional at the front desk. I have only one complaint and that matters the most to us: the teachers. While some are really nice and caring etc., some others are downright bad. Our son changed classrooms and one of the teachers in the new classroom couldn't be bothered to turn and say hello when he arrives in the morning. The teachers just don't seem to have that professional touch.
Our elder daughter went to Childrens School on Hancock Dr. They are a bit more expensive, but far far far more experienced and well-equipped to make children love going to school every single day. Those teachers are typically Masters graduates in some area such as child psychology and you can see the difference.
On the other hand, the Children school is really old, so their buildings are dilapidated. So if that matters to you, then Primrose is the place to go. to put it simply, its a really pretty looking school, but my son isn't enjoying it.

I can tell you about Primrose in three letters...WOW! Primrose School is top notch! Everyone is great! I have two children attending full time and I never have to worry about them. They love their teachers and learned so much more while at Primrose then they ever did at their other day care. The staff treat my children as if they were their own! Stop looking at those other places, go directly to Primrose, they are the BEST!

We have been with Primrose School of Round Rock for over 5 years and I have three children attending. We absolutely LOVE everyone there! You are always greeted by someone with a Big Smile and A Happy Good Morning! The managment know all of the children by name and they children love them. My oldest child started at age 6 weeks and is now in their afterschool program. He is in the top of his class and we owe that to Primrose and their educational program! I am never nervous to leave my babies there, it's like leaving them at grandma's house! Thank you Primrose, we love you!

My grandchildren attend Primrose School of Round Rock and I can't say enough great things about this school! My oldest grandchild just started kindergarten in the public school system in August. During his first parent/teacher conference my daughter was told that he is in the TOP 2 of his class and is already at the exit level!!!! We have Primrose to thank for that! Not only are they educational, but they also have the most loving, caring and nurturing staff around! They love the children as if they were their own! Thank you to everyone at Primrose for keeping my angels so very happy and safe, you are the best!

I have been a happy parent at Primrose so far but their policies could use some flexibility. I have to say that the teachers are really nice but the management makes all the decisions. My 18 month old daughter usually eats a heavy breakfast but one day she was playful and didn't eat anything. They happened to have a morning snack that she didn't eat either. I asked them for a substitute snack just that one time(since she hadn't eaten anything since the previous night) and they refused saying that they will not deviate from the menu. They'd rather let her starve for few more hours than change their policy for just that one time. I am not the kind of parent that constantly complains or expects special attention for my kid, it was really such a small issue and a one time request but they chose to adhere to their iron clad rules.

Stay away from here if you expect even a tiny bit of flexibility.

After carefully considering several preschools in the Round Rock Forest Creek area we chose Primrose. The environment seemed welcoming at first and clean and we had read good reviews about it. Sadly they made our child miserable. Their rigid attitude and high ratio classes didn't leave any room for a child to express him/herself. After many months it became obvious that our child was stressed and unhappy. High staff turnover was also unsettling. Management often made our family feel unappreciated. I would also question their high bi-annual "equipment fees". In comparison Goddard ticks all the boxes and more.

I disagree with the two low star reviews on this school. Primrose School of Round Rock has been a wonderful school for my two boys (3.5 years and 1.5 years). I get phone calls from the director when ever they have any concern, big or small. Mrs Judy Martinez is very personal, honest and caring. Mrs Judy always has a new story to tell me about my youngest and my older son is thriving in his classroom. He loves all the different and fun things he gets to do everyday. I'm amazed at how much he and my youngest have learned. The tuition is a bit higher than other schools, but it is worth it. My kids are very confident, happy and well adjusted kids and I know that Primrose has played a key part in their development. I picked Primrose out of the other day-cares I visited because they made me feel like I was part of a family, not just a number. Don't over look this school, there is a good reason why the waiting list is 6-9+ months.

I am very proud to say that our two sons attend Primrose and we are completely happy with the service that Primrose has been providing. My older son has been in other daycare facilities in Round Rock and I know horrible. Mrs. Kiehl and Mrs. Martinez have been the best directors that I have ever dealt with. They do not ignore parent complaints or issues and they resolve issues quickly. The communication with this school has been the best and when I call to check on my kids they tell me how the kids are doing, and they are honest. As for the fees, I strongly believe that with daycare, what you pay for is what you get. I know that when my children are dropped off they are being cared for and that they will have a productive day, the kids really do learn at this school. I have researched many daycare facilities and I believe that we have found the best place for our children. If you are looking for a clean school, friendly staff and great curriculum, this is the best place for your child.

If you want to send your child to a safe, nuturing learning program, this is the place for your child. My son has been attending for a year and is blossoming. The staff are wonderful. The student/teacher ratio is low and the facilities are immaculate. The curriculum is based on what Primrose calls Balanced Learning and it works. There is time spent during child directed and teacher directed learning. My child has learned so much and he thinks it is fun. He even comes home raving about the healthy snacks and lunches. I would recommend this program either part time or full time. In addition, programs in music, Spanish, and sports are just a few extra-curricular activities offered at an extra fee. The pricing is comprable to other quality preschool programs. There are classrooms for infants up to pre-kindergarten as well as an after-school program for kindergartners.

I have had my daughter in 2 other daycares in the neighborhood and all I can say is Thank You Primrose! We've had the best experience here, to everyone at the school we're family, not just dollar signs! When ever I need to talk with the director day or night she's always available. The teachers know exactly how my daughters day is and is always honest regardless if its good or not so good. I highly recommend visiting the school, you will see for yourself how great it is.

Many thanks to everyone at Primrose School of Round Rock!

Dropping your infant off at daycare for the first time is stressful. Leaving them with a complete stranger is nerve-wracking. Add to this the fear of unknowns and that first day can be traumatic. Some of this anxiety was put to rest when we toured Primrose School of Round Rock for the first time. Everyone working there seemed friendly and understood how we felt and did their best to ease our concerns. We still remember seeing a teacher kissing an infant on the head while she was rocking him that day. That was almost four years ago when we enrolled our first child, and now have two atteding. When they say that we're a part of their family they mean it!

We highly recommend Primrose Schools, I have zero complaints and I am a very picky parent. From management to teachers, they do a great job. I wish we had found them sooner. Mrs. Kiehl is the best director that I have dealt with, the staff is professional, the kids are well cared for and taught well. The school is very clean and really teach the kids about good hygiene.
When looking for childcare in Round Rock they are number 1.
