DO NOT waste your money with this company. My husband and I recently purchased a front door from them that cost nearly $10K. You would think, you get what you pay for.....absolutely not the case with Gulf Coast Windows. First off, they ordered the wrong color hardware for our door, even though we specifically went over what color we wanted with the salesman. Upon calling them to get the hardware replaced after our door was installed with the wrong color, they basically tried to tell me it was my fault the color was wrong, implying that I ordered it. I had to talk to several different people and even our salesman admitted it was his mistake. They ordered us new hardware (supposedly in the correct color, which I went over with them numerous times). My husband stayed home from work a second day so they could come and install the correct hardware, only to find out that when the tech showed up, they had sent the wrong color again (same color that was originally installed). Now my husband has wasted two days staying home from work because they have told us that they can only do installs and service Mon-Fri 8-5. Now we will have to take off another day IF and when they actually get us the right color hardware. We are really regretting our decision to use this company and hope to advise anyone else considering them to rethink their decision before they spend thousands of dollars and end up unhappy.

Purchased 10 windows. Sales person promised that the windows would be installed by the end of the year. When I had not received notice of installation, I called to see when the windows would be installed. Was told by the appointment scheduler not before February since they are taking time off for the holidays. How can a sales person (someone who claims to have been with the company for 28 years) not know this? When I contacted the sales person he explained that he lied and would see if they could put a rush on the job and get back to me on Monday. It has been over two weeks and I have not heard anything from Gulf Coast Windows. For a company to have been in business for 35 years, this is extremely poor business practices. I certainly hope that this is not a reflection of the quality of the window installation and the follow-up visits (if necessary).

I'm extremely disappointed in this company. Nothing has gone right with Gulf Coast Windows since the very beginning. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone.

It started out with me making an appointment then the day of, confirming it and then thirty minutes later getting a call saying it was canceled. Never did I get a call back saying that someone was actually coming out, I had called to reschedule and that is when they told me the owners son would come out instead. So I was grateful at this point since they corrected their mistake.

Then he makes all these promises, which I'm taking as just shallow sales pitches now, because not a SINGLE thing has been delivered on. I work in sales and own my own business, so when I say something will be done it gets done one way or the other. I was told said they would be done in six to eight weeks. I began this process in the first week of May. They were not installed until the last week of August.

So after I signed the contracts I was told someone would be out to measure in a few days. Well that took three weeks and only because ONCE AGAIN I had to call and ask what was going on. Well that day someone comes out to visit and, herein lies another problem. He calls and confirms he will be out to the house in 30 mins. So we rush to get home and TWO hours later he shows. Again I had to call and ask if he was actually coming out since he has said 20-30 mins. He says he was "stuck in traffic."

After the measurements I had to call after another month had passed to see what was going on. This happened several times, not once did I ever receive a call or email letting me know any details.

Towards the end I called again to see what was going on and was told there was discrepancies but was told no more than a week for them to be finished. Well then a week or two later I get a call asking what way to have the horizontal windows slide (left or right) because they never asked. Well that is not true because I remember specifically telling them to pick as I didn't care and my sister can attest to that as she was standing right there. So now they are held up once again.

When the windows finally arrived, it was time to set up an installation date. Well again at the beginning I was told that we could schedule for a weekend installation since I work during the week. Well now this was not the case. At this point I just wanted my windows in so I was able to have someone at my house for Friday; since I had 14 windows being replaced it would take two days. Although the installers were very friendly and worked hard it still does not make this company worth recommending. Before they left they asked if they could come back on Sunday, which was fine expect for the point that I was told they do not work Sundays. So when they come back on Sunday they did not show up until after 11, when they said around 9-10.

Although the windows look ok and hopefully they keep the heat/cold out like promised, I would still NEVER recommend this company. I started this process because I was hoping the windows would help with the heat in the house, now it has been over 100 degrees for a few weeks. This is just an absurd way to run a company, and I assure you, I will not recommend this company to a single person, which is too bad I have several friends who are waiting to hear what I have to say because they want new windows as well
