I frequent this store. But the last time I was there I couldn't find something specific I needed. Over the counter burn cream. So I asked the lady at the pharmacy. She acted like she didn't know what I mean't so I tried to explain and she laughed at me. She also got the other pharmacists there acting the same rude, unprofessional way. Guess they were having a bad day! Do you think many people want to bring you their business if you treat them that way?

I don't get the "confusing layout" comments. The dairy section is at the back. The frozen section is in the middle and the produce is at the front. Just like most other stores

I dont consider the super center or sams a grocery. Visited the store at Easter 06, prior to moving to town, though it was filthy. Blamed it on the holiday weekend. Now a resident I see that nothing has changed. Layout is odd as well. Would be nice if they carried more Central Market products. This HEB does not realize that some shoppers prefer quality over quantity.

This particular store has the most confusing layouts I have ever seen. Beverages are not all together. Beverage flavorings are not all together. Really nothing relevant or similar to the next seems to be even in the same aisle. Another thing is the dairy and frozen section is at the beginning of the store with the produce on the other end of the store...practicality tells you that the frozen foods should be the LAST thing you pick up, but practicality is not involved in this blueprint.
The selection is however nice. You simply need to ask a employee for help when trying to locate a particular item since things that would normally be beside one another is across 2-3 aisles.

PROS: nice selection
CONS: horrible layout

I shop at H-E-B almost weekly. I like the sales that they offer and it's easy to pick everything you need in one place. They have a pharmacy, fresh produce, floral department (although it's small), deli, photo delevoping, meat/seafood department (which is excellent, a big variety). They have just added self chekc out lanes which is great when you only need a few things and are paying by cash. They also have good sales every few weeks where you buy 1 or 2 items and get a variety of items free. The onlydown side is that the lines seem to be long quite often and sometimes you have to wait a bit.

PROS: You can get everything in 1 place
CONS: Lines are longer at times and you have to wait.
