With all of the local places in Austin to eat, I wouldn't think about this place first. However, for a lunch meeting or with a big group- I can understand the appeal. The service is good, the breadsticks and salad are never-ending. But support local: the food only seems good because it's full of sodium and pre-made.
We had an amazing waitress named Emily that left us a cute, cheesy thank you card @ the end of the night. The salad was good, but the bread sticks were dry & stale. That explains why they are free. :-) My wine glass was gross! It had some mystery lip prints on it... yuck! The food was so so, and for the price it wasn't worth it. The portions were very small, and their huge plates made it look even smaller. The quality of the food didn't even come close to matching the price. I can really tell where Olive Garden had cut corners, and it's not good.
Check out their stone plate with the manager's name on the front of the store. It's comical to see it's been replaced quite a bit. That should tell you something... It's a shame that we won't try them again, since the waitress was great. She could make a lot more money somewhere else! I'm only giving 2 stars because she rocked!! If it wasn't for here, my vote would be no stars.
I like Olive Garden's bread and salad, as well as the pasta. but their service is a no-no. went there twice, both time bad service, 1st time the waiter can't even keep out water full, last Sunday was worse, she doesn't know their wine, took wrong order and split our check wrong. will not come back to this location!
Pros: good pasta
Cons: service bad
