Irvin Michelle A Do

We cannot be more thankful to Dr.Irvin and her staff. We had no idea how to pick our doctor when we found out am pregnant. I read online reviews and picked Dr.Irvin. She was great through out the pregnancy and on the night she delivered our son, she came in hospital with 15 minutes of nurses calling her for emergency C section. She is very patient answering all your questions and makes you very comfortable with everything. Thank you Dr.Irvin, Suzy and Kathy.

I was originally a patient of Dr. Parr's in 2007. When she retired I was a month away from delivering my 4th child. I really randomly picked Dr. Irvin, I was almost done anyway. She was great! When the next year came around I found myself surprised with another pregnancy. I was only 29 and in pretty good shape. I thought it wouldn't be that bad. I was surprised at how drained I was caring for my 4 other children. I also had sever morning sickness the entire time. She was very thoughtful in helping me figure out what I could do to help me feel better. When it came time to deliver everything went without fault, until after I had delivered. I immediately started to hemorrhage. Dr. Irvin handled everything very calmly. She explained what was happening and what needed to be done. I ended up having an emergency hysterectomy. The last thing I remembered before I passed out, from loss of blood, was Dr. Irvin wiping my tears and telling me everything was going to be ok. She visited me everyday in the hospital and called me at home. I truly believe she saved my life. I am grateful for her skills and her faith.

I had originally researched to choose Dr. Parr when I became pregnant with my daughter in 2006, when informed of her retirement I reluctantly chose Irvin, as I hadn't researched her. From the very beginning I felt very comfortable with my choice. My first pregnancy was a bit turbulent and Dr. Irvin monitored every symptom, complaint, and concern with swift testing and action. My delivery with her was evident she was a pro! My daughter had to have a monitor connected to her head during labor as they couldn't get a consistant heart beat with the belly monitor. The nurse was not trained well enough to remove it from her tiny head once she was born. Dr. Irvin quickly advised the nurse not to keep trying and that she would take care of it, given the nurses abrasive pull on my baby's scalp, a sight that obviously disturbed both Dr. Irvin and myself. With my son born a few months ago, in the beginning, I had unusual pains on my right side and Dr. Irvin was insistent I have many appointments, ultrasounds, and hcg blood level tests. When they weren't doubling she continued to be on top of the ultrasounds, to find 9 weeks along we did have a baby growing perfectly. She monitored my pregnancy closely, understood my history and body and was an amazing doctor. At times I felt like I was her only patient, with how attentive she handled everything, delivery included. Her nurses Sue and Kathy were exceptional, and Rosa was like having a friend around at every appointment. My only complaint is the desk staff on more than one occasion misplaced my chart at an appointment I had to wait over an hour before someone figured out it was put in the wrong sequence and wrong slot.I'm done with baby making, but if I should ever again need to, there wouldn't be a thought of another doctor to carry me through the process again.

I have been a patient of Dr Irvin for several years. When I got pregnant, I saw a different side of her. For one, when I was tested pregnant, she did not bother to congratulate me or show any excitement.I decided to overlook that, since she is such a busy person. In the first prenatal appointment, I expected her to ask me, "any questions?" ,but nope, she did not ask that, this was my first pregnancy, very excited, nervous, and full of questions. Then I told her I had some questions, and she apologized for not asking me. Then in a few weeks, the worst happened, my ultrasound did not show any baby. I had a blighted Ovum. But she gave the news to me like it was nothing. The truth is hard to hear, however a doctor should be a little sensitive in giving this news, its a miscarriage, not a bad knee pain or something. She did not bother to monitor my hcg level to see if I truly had a blighted ovum or maybe dates being off. She is a good doctor but insensitive. Anyways, after that I decided to switch my doctor.

Dr. Michelle Irvin has cared for me through 2 miscarriages, a surgery, and helping me with being able to sustain a whole, healthy pregnancy. She delivered my 2nd baby for me and was superb. Her whole staff is so kind, sensitive, fun, and caring. I love going to that practice and I recommend EVERYONE go there. She is a women of faith and skill - what a great combination!

Dr. Irvin is amazing. She's patient, caring, incredibly intelligent and from what I've heard, one of the best doctors in the Austin Area. (I AGREE) She was great with me during my first pregnancy. I am excited to be having her as my Dr. for my second (soon, I hope)

If your insurace covers Dr. Irvin and she is accepting new patients, I can't see going anywhere else. I first saw Dr. Irvin after a traumatic miscarriage. Since then, I have seen her for two healthy pregnancies. She is compassionate, very excited about your baby, and generally very good at her job. When I bring my four year old to my pregnancy visits, I like that she lets him measure my growing tummy and makes sure he can hear the heartbeat before she turns off the doppler.

Dr. Irvin is a great doctor if you are in need of a doctor for prenatal and delivery or if you need an OBGYN doctor. Her office is organized and runs very smoothly. Appointments are easy and convenient and the staff are extremely helpful and nice. Dr. Irvin answers any questions you may have and never rushes through appointmnents. She does sometimes have to cancel appointments and reschedule due to delivering babies but that is expected and happens with all baby doctors. I personally never had it happen to me though.

If you are looking for a doctor to deliver your baby this is the doctor for you. I've gone to her for 2 babies and had great experiences with her for both. She only delivers out of Round Rock Hospital which I'm not thrilled about since I had 2 bad experiences with them,but I like Dr. Irvin enough to go back to Round Rock Hospital and to keep her as my doctor. She and her staff are very thorough and good with the patients. I had a difficult pregnancy and was put on bedrest with my first and I wasn't worried at all because I knew I was in good hands. She's gotten busier so book your appointments early! She is located in the big building right by the hospital.
