Dr. Rizk was a very nice well educated man. My experience with him was good, Yet I can't say the same about anyone in the surgery department including his nurse. They were rude, talked down to you and were never available for questions. I specifically asked for pain medication without codeine because it makes me sick. They prescribed me Hydrocodone with a nausea medicine. I called them to have them change it and this took hours before I received a phone call. When they finally called in a different medicine it too had codeine. I then had to call them again and they were very rude to me. I will not be dealing with Beaumont Bone and Joint ever again. All they did was make for a miserable surgery experience.
Not only were they rude but the day of my surgery they had my paper work messed up. I had to correct my information while waiting for surgery.
They also sent 4 different nurses in to get me ready for surgery when it only takes one.
I also told each nurse that came in about a specific allergy I had forgotten to write down and by the time the 5th nurse came in she hadnt been told and she gave me a very rude lecture on how I should have written it down. I guess no one talks to anyone there because none of them were on the same page. I was very annoyed. I almost wanted to call off my surgery and leave.

Run for your life (if you can)! This place SUCKS! I HATE THEM! They left me crippled. Steer clear of THOMPSON. He's Mr. Okay, everythings fine. He'll send you out for blood test you don't need then won't give you the results. Wasting more of your money. He'll screw up your surgery and treatment then won't fix it. Let you live in pain and watch with glee as you fall apart when he tells you that there's nothing he can or will do and you will be crippled for the rest of you life. Bastard Man Devil~ Someone should break both his legs and arms. Wait! A light bulb just went off! Am I onto something?

I have arthritic knees and coming from a World Class facility in Ohio, where I had been all of my life (Cleveland Clinic) I was very pleased with Dr. Isabelle. He was very polite, great bedside manner, well-informed and caring.

I can only praise this clinic and the doctors and nurses here. My wrist was badly mangled in an accident with our truck and a horse. The doctor who treated me initially saved my life with emergency surgery. I could have easily gotten infected with all the glass and horse matter in my wrist and hand, but they did a great job cleaning the wound and putting me back together. Following my hospital stay I received further care by their specialist in the hand and wrist. He performed two more surgeries and ordered physical therapy. The physical therapist was able to get much better movement back in my hand and wrist than was expected. My thanks to all at the clinic.

My daughter broke her wrist, one doctor very concerned put in a cast for 3 weeks, cast came off doctor still concerned and another doctor came in and said everything just fine, tried to send us home, but my daughters wrist was " locked " and she couldn't move it. After I said we were not going home and threw a fit for someone else to look at it, another doctor had a different opinion and set up lengthy treatment, Then we were told they could call us and set up appointments & therapy. She is 16 and their specialist could only treat 18 yrs old and up. Guess what, it has been 4 weeks and nobody has call to set up anything and her wrist is still locked. I took her to a Houston doctor and with in a week, she is already able to move it 20% more than she did. They need to call this place Beaumont Band-Aid. thats all they did for her was put a cast on, just like a band-aid.

I had to have knee surgery to remove torn cartilage...should have been simple. At my initial visit, I was impressed with the facility itself and got the impression I would be well taken care of. Not the case. I thought it was the doc that was going over my MRI and the surgery required but it was actually his assistant. I saw the actual doctor for maybe 2 minutes and all he said was okay, we'll get you scheduled for surgery. With the injury (pre-op) they would not give me anything for swelling or pain. I was told to take Aleve. The surgery instructions specifically said NOT to take any anti-inflammatory for 7 days before surgery. So I lived with the pain. Now post-op, the nurses (at surgery dept) stressed several times that if my meds didn't work to call them and they would give me something stronger. I didn't even see my doctor at all before or after surgery. I am in extreme pain and every time I call any extension I get voicemail, I leave messages and no one calls me back. When I talked to the appt desk they finally paged my docs nurse and she told me it is not the docs policy to give me anything more than 5mg Vicodin every 4 hours. I would not send my dog to this guy. They tell you they don't want you to hurt but I believe this guy gets pleasure out of his patients pain. Let it be known that I have never had a problem with meds and am not a believer in narcotics unless absolutely necessary. I feel very neglected as a patient. These people are paid very well and should at the very least have someone else return their phone calls for them if they just can't find the time themselves. Maybe your experience will be good if a) you don't desire to actually see your doctor b) it is not necessary for you to reach anyone there at any time by phone c) if you are one of the few people on earth who does not feel any pain after trauma or being cut open and operated on.

This is a very organized place they have friendly people at the front desk. The room decor is very inviting and the kids loved the fish tanks that were all around. This was excellant to have while we waited which was not too long.

The setting was very relaxed and friendly. The staff was always very concerned for my comfort. It was actually relaxing to go to physical therapy. They were willing to try different things to see what worked for me.
