Reviews for Pep Boys

Ratings_icons Pep Boys not so energetic.

I drove in with a leak in my car., the person at the front desk was very friendly. I was told that a hose/pipe subassembly needed to be replaced and I had two choices, to get part from the dealership or to use a hose they would have to cut to fit. Since the dealer part was not available I asked to get the hose cut to length and installed. Next day my car was ready, I drove it to work and by the time I got there it was leaking again. I had to take it back to Pep Boys and ask to get it fixed. It took me five trips to get to the conclusion Pep Boys either did not care getting it fixed, actually after the second trip to Pep Boys I spoke to the manager who was always very rude. At my fifth trip I asked the manager to be responsible for any damage the problem may cause if my car would overheat as a result of the constant leaking in my car. I was told Pep Boys would not take any responsibility since at the beginning I was the one that had chosen to not use the dealership part. To make story short, after been treated like trash I was able to get my money back and suggested to leave. I am not going back to this store, actually I will not even set a foot on any other Pep Boys. Thank God they are not the only kids in the block.

Ratings_icons Don't look for help at This PEPBOYS! Insulting Service

Don't look for help at This PEPBOYS! I drove in with a tire going flat from a nail. It was late in the afternoon and there were no gas stations with mechanics on duty, I had my wife and too small children with me. Instead of patching our tire, the employee said they were closing and it would take too long. After pleading with the manager (Jerry) since I had my children with me he still couldn't make up his mind arguing with the very rude employee over how long it would take the glue to dry. This was a terrible experience and an awful way to treat fellow human beings, hopefully these people will never need help in their future from someone else at closing time. If I can speak to the owner I may write a second review, for now don't expect help from this business!!!!

Ratings_icons Pep Boys is the place to go for friendly service and good advice.

I had to take my car in for a oil change and to get the tires rotated. The people at this location were very friendly and they were more than happy to answer a few questions that I had. My car was in and out of the bay in about 20 min. I used a coupon and it wasnt a problem at all unlike some other places.
Im going to go back again to get some new tires and a tune up once winter hits.

PROS: Friendly people that gave me the feeling they wanted to help
CONS: None really
