Empire Cafe

The food and the environment lead to a great dining experience. You can dine inside or out and I chose to eat outside. The prices are reasonable and the food is great. If I lived closer I would be a regular customer. I look forward to eating at the Empire again soon.

Empire has 50% off a slice of cake on Mondays. They have great Boston Cream, Chocolate and more. Selections vary from Monday to Monday but they are delicious.

Whether you're in the mood for drinks after work, a great dinner with friends, a place to settle in for a long night of studying, or a fantastic weekend brunch, Empire Cafe is the place to go.

I've been going to Empire for the past two years, and I've never been let down. Their deserts are of epic porportion, and the menu is as varied as the Montrose/River Oaks crowd. When the weather cools down, they have a great patio for people watching and just passing the time.

They do have long lines, but they move very quickly.

PROS: Awesome food, great crowd, quick service
CONS: Long lines, limited parking

Cafe menu, good quality nouvelle cuisine; interesting atmosphere; good coffee, pasta, and desserts, try the chicken pizza; excellent but pricey so go on Monday--1/2 price cake night! Cool atmosphere, despite yuppies. Overpriced food.
