just NOT acceptable  1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

Snippet: Dishes are dirty...God knows how dirty the food prep is.

I went to this place with a friend. We were seated and asked to make our way to the buffet. As i picked up a plate, I noticed bits of food on it so I put that aside and picked up another one after careful inspection. I picked up a fork and out it on my plate to find saag (food) stuck to the bottom of the fork. I tried finding another fork only to find droplets of brown dirty water still on the fork. I gave up on the fork and grabbed a bowl to get soup only to find crusted-on food on the bowl. We pulled aside a woman who was walking out of the kitchen and told her about the dirty dishes and she called out to a man walking by and said (in hindi) "answer them" and walked away. Upon hearing what we had to say the man told us that the restaurant was closed and was no longer serving the buffet. When we told him it was 1:30 and the sign outside said buffet was served untill 2:30 he said " we had too much crowd, no more food left". however, there was plenty of food at the buffet line... the man just refused service to us. My friend and I walked out and ate at a neighboring restaurant and saw atleast 7 more people walk into the place and eat lunch.

Bottom line: Any place that has dirty dishes and treats customers like crap deserves to be shut down....and this is one of those places. I wud NOT recommened this place to anyone.

Finally, good Hyderabadi Biriyani in the Dallas area  4 Star Rating - Very good

My husband and I stopped in tonight (Sunday) around 8pm. He had Bombay Chinese chicken and I had Hyderabadi chicken biriyani. I was so happy to finally find Hyderabadi biriyani in Dallas, since we just moved here from Detroit where it was easier to find.

The Hyderabadi biriyani was excellent. The fried rice my husband ordered with his Chinese chicken was alright, but it was basmati fried rice. Probably would have been better with the traditional rice used in Chinese cooking rather than the basmati. Texture wasn't right for a Chinese dish.

Both dishes were adequately spicy.

I thought the value for the money was very good. We ordered a generously sized veg spring roll appetizer (very good), two entrees, an order of fried rice. Our meal was $30.02 including the tip, AND we have _more_ than enough left over for lunch tomorrow.

There is another restaurant nearby with a little more ambience (although they serve food on paper plates-- tacky!), for sure (which is basically just fancier light fixtures and warm colored paint) but I have tried it before and honestly, I prefer Bombay Chinese delicious and complex food in a simple restaurant over a neighboring restaurant that puts ten times as much effort into their "ambience" than they do their food (Zyka).

simple and o.k food, not many choices  3 Star Rating - Satisfactory

Its a vegetarian and a non vegetarian restaurant on belt line road exit on US 75. Its a small restaurant with indian and chinese cuisine. The buffet is offered at a price of $7 which is quite o.k compared to other indian restaurants nearby. Even the ambience is not so great or pleasing.
Overall its an o.k restaurant with tasty food but not wie varieties of choices.

PROS: Indian and Chinese go together
CONS: Not many choices and pricey compared to the food
