Rodriguez Roger - Leon Springs Pediatrics

Dr. Popp is awesome. We have been using him since 1998 with all three of our kids (9, 14, 15). He and his staff have always been very pleasant and accommodating to us. He relates very well to children and goes the extra mile to make sure they feel comfortable. We have always been treated more than fairly in every respect. We feel very blessed to have found such a pediatrician when we landed in San Antonio far from our original home.

I wish that i had read these reviews before i went. i called to ask hoew much a physical is because im cash pay. i was told $107.00 i said that i just needed what was necessary for my son to join track team at school. when i went to leave i was asked to pay $165.00 she said that was for hearing and vision (this took all of 4 minutes to do) i said that i would not pay it...i was quoted $107.00 and furthermore I hadnt requested those things and he had already had hearing and vision tests at school for free. they said that was fine and took my money. i thought that was the end of the story until I received a bill for $95.00 in the mail. Here we go again...anyhow, the doctor himself seemed fine, just make sure that you really keep your eye on the bill if you are a cash paying patient.

I do not agree with the 2 bad reviews. My children have been going to see Dr. Popp since he was on Hamilton Wolfe & then at Stone Oak. Now he is off Boerne Stage Rd. and it has definatley been worth following him. Myself & my children have had nothing but great experiance with him. His dedication was well seen with a severe issue with one of my kids. I'm not so sure any other doctor would have stayed so close to this situation. My child is doing great now and still is followed very closely. His staff has been great with the whole process and is very helpful and greets us with a smile all the time. Im sorry the other 2 had a bad experiance, but we all have bad days every once and awhile. I would reccommend this office to anyone.

I highly recommend against choosing this office for your child. Being disrespectful and rude to myself or my husband, I can get over, but when my child is treated with such behavior is where I draw the line. They spoke to her like an adult that has gone to the doctor for years instead of a 5 year old that has been to a doctor a handful of times. NO compassion. The doctor was coarse and rude, and the nurse who gave her her shots was rough and mean. The office personel was rude when kids were getting too loud with the video game THEY provided in the waiting area. Beware of billing also. They will say you paid your TOTAL bill in the office just to receive another bill in the mail for twice as much!

Dr. Popp was on call for my regular pediatrician this weekend. He took over 45 minutes to return my call. When he finally called, I explained to him that my baby was running a very high fever and shared her symptoms. Dr. Popp was extremely disrespectful- he interrupted me and spoke condescendingly to me, to the point that I began to cry. When I started crying, he made a rude comment and hung up on me. His behavior was unprofessional and unacceptable.

Leon springs pediatrics is the best office for my child. I love the staff and the doctors are superb. I get in and out in a timely manner and the doctors are fabulous with patient care. They follow up well and you really can tell that the wellness of your child is their best interest. There is a male and female Dr. available so you can choose which one you want your child to be seen by. The nurses are fun, loving ,and caring. I always feel welcomed and leave knowing my child was well taken care of. I highly recommend Leon Springs Pediatrics and the staff that runs it.
