On Fourth of July a couple of years ago I cracked my tooth. Dr. Winter called me and reassured me that everything was going to be ok. He fit me in to the office the next day and took care of everything. I have been going to him ever since.

the dental office is very busy and was not able to get teeth cleaning the same day of exam. Person who answer the phone not very friendly or helpful.

I've been going to Dr. Winter for over 10 years and would not consider going anywhere else. He is the most personable, reasonable and capable dentist I've had in my adult life. When you need treatment he presents the options evenly and clearly, but let's you know what he thinks is best given his expertise. I had to go through chemotherapy at one point several years ago which can cause special mouth and teeth problems. He was very helpful with any problems I experienced which, thankfully, were minor. I do not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

I have been a patient of Dr. Winter for over 5 years. Before him, my previous dentist let his hygienist do most of the examination including diagnosis. Not Dr. Winters. He is excellent with his patients, friendly, and very knowledgeable. He is thorough, up to date, and does NOT find work. He is the best dentist I ever had. If I ever move out of Houston, there is not much I will miss except for Dr. Winters.

I just moved to Houston and took a chance on Dr. Winter from a list of dentists taking my insurance. I had a tooth and jaw ache just before my vacation. Not only did he immediately fit me in, Dr. Winter gave me the most thorough examination I have experienced and showed tremendous concern should the pain worsen. I have since gone back for a cleaning and was further impressed with his thoroughness, friendly but professional demeanor, and compassion. His staff is also friendly, and their prices after insurance are quite reasonable. I feel blessed to have found such a great dentist!

I hadn't been to a dentist in about 5 years when I moved away from Houston. I tried to get a new dentist in my new city. The 2 other dentists I went to said I would need major work done to fix my teeth...a cost of nearly $30,000. Dr. Winter took a look at them and estimated about 1/3 of that, without knowing I had gone to another dentist! He could have easily "under-bid" the other dentists, had he known I visited another dentist, but his honest professional opinion made his price much less. He explained all my options in terminology that I could understand, all the while being understanding of my finances, and in the end he let me make the right decision for me. These qualities are the qualities every health care professional should have to even get their license in the first place. I've been a patient of Dr Winter's for 10 years. I would, and I have, recommended Dr. Winter of Hemphill Denter Center to friends and family.
