Terilli's, which has been open for over 20 years, continues to attract savy diners interested in great food, live jazz and tons of fun! Terilli's unique Italian fare, including their signature "Italchos" (Italian Nachos) brightens a stressful day or provides the perfect backdrop for a romantic evening! Speaking of romance, don't miss the opportunity to soak in some live jazz while you experience Terilli's fine Italian fare. Be sure to visit our website to see our Jazz line-up. Listen while you relax on our patio sipping a glass of wine or inside in a corner booth soaking up the savory aromas escaping from the kitchen.

The Scene
A covered and heated patio opens to a dimly lit dining room and bar with widescreen TVs at this bustling spot. To the right is a black baby grand that gets tinkled every Tuesday through Sunday by local jazz artists. The vibe is art deco with black wood lining the ceiling, exposed brick and oversized modern portraiture. In the back, a private dining area can hold up to 30 people upon reservation.

The Food
Though the pricey menu promises otherwise, this food is adequate at best with the exception of a few plates. Crab cakes were moist to perfection and complimented by a piquant spicy remoulade. The chef's special, cheese tortellini, was on the dry side and offered no surprises. Lobster fettuccini with artichokes was prepared well enough. Standout desserts include the Xango Cheesecake, a naughtily fried tower of cinnamon and sugar wrapped in filo dough.

Hits: Waitstaff is attentive and accommodating even on a busy night.

Misses: Cuisine suffers from blandness and mediocrity at times.

Terilli's is a very elegant place to dine. It's perfect for a quite dinner for two or a group of friends. The prices are a little steep but it's worth it.

Ratings_icons A great little gem on Greenville!

Natalie C.

I absolutely love this place! I have been twice now to the Greenville location and I have been pleased (and full) with each visit. The warm brie app is fantastic, the spinach spread is wonderful and decadent, the bread and dipping sauce are simply perfect, the salads are fresh and light, and the cheese ravioli with light cream sauce (my personal favorite) is fantastic. Their Italchos are awesome too! The vibe is cool and relaxed, the servers are nice, and the atmosphere is very New York. There is not usually a host/hostess at the front, so don't feel like an idiot if you are standing in the entrance for a minute...that happens often, apparently. Some of the reviews here are complaining about wait and noise, so if that is a concern, I would recommend Saturday lunch or 6:45 dinner during the week...both have been no problem. Though the service isn't slow, I wouldn't try Terilli's if you are in a rush. Enjoy it.

Ratings_icons Great Italian

This is a great place to have lunch with your friends or co-workers. We were trying to surprise someone in our party with a treat at the end or our meal and they executed it perfectly. Great service and great food!

Ratings_icons So-So

Terrillis has been around forever, but they are a little expensive to me for what they offer. The food's okay, and I'm not against spending a lot on a good dinner, but like I said, it's just so-so.

Ratings_icons Go for Sunday brunch...

SF S. | insider Insider | Rank: 13,741

Terillis is a great spot if you enjoy lower Greenville. Personally I think that the best time to go is for Sunday brunch. The chicken pistachio salad is amazing. Although, they do have great music on the weekends.

Ratings_icons for the young crowd

Lee (K-2) S. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 9,381

This place is too loud for an old codger like me. If you are under 25 you might like the crowd, loud music, etc. They do have good drinks which if you are my age you will need to get through th 15-30 minutes I lasted.

Ratings_icons Waited too long just to be dissapointed

miss_angela

My friends recommended this place and by the looks of the other reviews other people seem satisfied. On the other hand I was not, the most impressive thing to me was how fast the valets retrieved the car, very nice!! Upon walking in there was no one at the hostess stand (more waiting). We were then informed that there is a 45 min wait it was 8:30 on a Friday; that would of been understandable except for the fact the place was half empty. The music is nice but very loud. We ordered calimari for a starter it was bland and greasy but at least not chewy. My dining companions orded crab claws, tasty but half of them were too soaked in butter to be eaten. The other ordered veal which he was satisfied with I ordered a chicken dish with angel hair, veggies, and parmesean sauce. I was very disspointed there was barely any sauce on it when everyone elses had plently. The chicken was very dry and bland. This dish was a major 18 dollar miss. After the plates were cleared there was about a 20 minute absence of our waitress and then we waited even longer for change. My suggestion, go to Olive Garden you will pay less and be actually full when you leave.

Pros: The valets are superb!

Cons: Food and service

Ratings_icons Cool Atmosphere...but loud!!

kristya_02

The ambience was great. When my husband and I drove up we were ooohing and ahhhing at the site of it. It's so nicely lit up...and the patio looked so inviting. And it really was, until we stepped inside. We soon discovered that we were screaming at each other, because the music was soooo loud. The inside of the restaurant is very nice and dimly lighted, but the blasting saxaphone and piano was very distracting. I can see where they can get the idea that it's romantic, but this is really a restaurant that you take a group of people to. My husband and I requested to sit outside on the patio, and it made it bearable. Everything else was great...they have a great selection of imported beers and the food is very tasty.

Ratings_icons Intimate Atmosphere

Celebrated a friend's birthday here. Great selection of martinis/wines (however, markup on wines was high). The atmosphere is chic, romantic, and intimate, very conducive to conversation. The lobster asparagus salad was absolutely awesome!

Pros: Atmosphere

Cons: Parking

If you are in the mood for a great food and live music, Terilli's is the place to go. They do such a great job of blending fine, romantic dining with fun and energy. I can take a date or go out with friends for happy hour, and feel comfortable either way. I also recommend asking for Joey, he will make sure you have a good time.

Pros: live music, food, drinks

Cons: parking
