I had a pleasureable buying experience. No haggle price was fine. Sales person was extrememly helpful in the sale. On the otherhand the car we bought a 2003 with 70k miles has had nothing but problems since the day we drove it off the lot. The car seemed fine when purchased. We test drove it twice, no weird sounds or noises, clean and since I thought this was a reputable company that we were probably in safe hands. This car was purchased for my daugther in college and since day 2 of ownership we have spend too much money on its reparis. When brought to the dealers attention they agreed to pay for 50% of the first repair at THEIR mechanic. Well we trusted THEIR mechanic and was told a part should be ordered from manufacturer. We waited two weeks (with no vehicle) for it to come in. They replaced the part and I drove it home. On the way home I noticed it made the same sound as it did prior to the repair, took it back the next day, and was told I needed a transmission and several other things. In the meantime, my daughter started having an issue with a tire. I took it to the tire dealer and he immediately said that she needed 4 new tires as the tires on this vehicle were 7 years old and dry rotting. This was not seen at point of purchase but after it had started to be driven they started cracking. Of course Emmons would not help us there, and we spent close to $500 on new tires and the 50% of our repair was $490. Now, the car is still not running and we have been told it needs a new transmission and other repairs totalling over $2500. Emmons will not help with this and has made it clear it is our problem. I am miserable and broke with my purchase and would not recommend buying anything through them. A car that was worth $4500 I bought for $7000 and will have put another $3000 into it before it is really driveable. The owner of the company doesn't care about that they sold me a car with bad tires, the check engine light came on the first 100 miles of ownership, I need a new transmission, and our mechanic found that the engine was being supported underneatht the car with a coat hanger. Lesson learned here.... Just because it is clean inside and out, and a clear carfax report, and the sales person seems nice, the company claims to be reputable doesn't mean they are not experts in TAKING your money and TAKING advantage of your trust. They may be able to sleep at night knowing they are putting people lives and pocket books in jeapordy by selling these cars to innocent victims but I would not let my daughter drivec a vehicle with dry rot tires a transmission that now will not shift over 30 MPH and other countless repairs. I am out so much money and time on this deal it's not even funny.. oh yeah, the paper plates just expired about a week ago and still no permanent plates in yet either. NICE.. Merry Christmas!

I purchased a 2004 Subaru WRX with around 95k miles from them recently after reading the reviews. They had a relaxed but helpful atmosphere. I had a check engine light come on a week or two after purchasing the car and they took care of it. I am very satisfied with my dealings with them.

I usually don't write reviews but felt this was one that was worth writing. I have purchased Used Cars before and have had the worst experience; but Emmons Motors was the best by far. The salespersons are very delightful - any minor problems I had with the purchase of a 1992 Ford Escort for my daughter back in 2007 was handled promptly and to date the car is still running good. I thank God that I came across Emmons Motors and will undoubtedly make my next purchase from them. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a "First Time Vehicle" or a "Used Car"

I recently bought an 02 used Explorer,and Emmons was great to work with. Alex Castillo was so nice and very patient I might add. He waited for my slow insurance and family. He made it very enjoyable though. He is a funny man! I would highly recommend emmons, the car came clean, nice, and was the best about having only clean titled vehicles. Thanks again.

I wanted to express how much I appreciated Emmons when I purchased a used car. I went to atleast 10+ dealerships and called Emmons and talked to Alex. He was so helpful in finding me exactly what I wanted and what was within my price range. He checked out the history of the car, and took care of all the details needed for me. Because of this I highly recommend both Alex and Emmons to anyone looking for a used car.

This was my first experience in buying a used car since college days. After reading that Emmons is a family owned operation and had been in business for 35+ years I decided to try them out. Honestly I had anticipated a long and painful experience. My experience was quite the opposite. Their inventory is excellent in brand, age and mileage. Each vehicle is clearly marked with year and mileage. You can go online and narrow down your choices before arriving. Sam, my salesman was excellent and was willing to work with me in several areas. After (27 miles) the purchase was completed the transmission started to slip. I took the car back in the following Monday and they had the transmission rebuilt and gave me a one year warrant. This was after I has signed an as is agreement. Gary Emmons and his crew certainly understand the value of happy customers. I will certainly consider them in the future.

As the title reads. In my past I have dealt with cars of all makes in several roles in the auto industry and have heard all of the stories and hardships concerning the buying of used cars. Most of the stories are typical of used car dealers being shady and just there for the sale. So my story! I began my quest for for a used car for my daughter who is away at college and needed good dependable transportation. After about two weeks of looking at literaly junk from almost every hole in the wall used car lots, I ran across Emmons. This is where the story changes. When I arrived at the lot, I was able to browse the cars and not be haggled with salesman. To be honest I got upset that noone came out to help me and I left. The next day I was rested and thought I would give them a seconf chance, especially since they had such nice vehicles so I went back. This time I went into the office and asked for a salesman who ended up being Sam Perez. Sam walked me around the lot and informed me that they were like carmax in that they were a no haggle dealer and that they had a small staff and tht he was sorry he missed me the previous day. Long story short. I ended up buying a honda civic from them. I had problems with the rear windshield leaking and felt that I was out of luck since I had signed the as is no warranty papers. When I approached the owner Gary Emmons, he was very cordual and bent over backwards to help me out. Sam was just as responsive towards my problem. These people are standup and have gained my business as a repeat customer in the future. Thanks Sam and Gary

We bought a Nissan Altima from Emmons a few months ago. Not really a great experience. We had a major problem with the front bumper cover/grill shortly after the purchase. The whole thing fell off the car while my wife was eating lunch one day. Basic response was too bad, it wasn't broke when we sold it to you. Would not recommend this dealer to anyone.

We just bought our 3rd car from Emmons! WE keep going back because we are pleased with our cars and the interest they take helping us find the right vehicle-ask for Ashley. If we need another car, we will be heading for Emmons-maybe we will get a turkey or something-Hearon family.

I went to Emmons Motor Company and presented to them what I needed and wanted to do..they gave me all the info I needed when asked questions..they didn't hound me and follow me around like I were going to steal from them...no high pressure at all..they even held the truck for me while I went elsewhere to get a quote for my truck...never blinked an eye when asked if they could do this..Emmons has been around for a very long time,I know because I grew up in the area and they have been here as long as I can remember..they talk to you as a customer and not at you like you are a moron...my salesperson was a very informed woman and she didn't have to run and ask questions, she knew the answers..I guess their specialty is how they treat people...I feel I got a great deal..and I was assured that if there were any problems to come back and talk to them...as of the sale I was now a part of the Emmons Family...they weren't dumping now that the deal has been sealed...would I recommend them...You Bet with no hesitation..If you are looking for great deals,clean vehicles,good customer service,and you want to feel comfortable...go check them out...I think you will be pleased

I bought a car from Emmons in February 2007, and was favorably impressed with the entire process. I am continuing to enjoy the vehicle I purchased. Because of my positive experience, my daughter also purchased a car from Emmons. There were some minor adjustments to be made, so she took the car back 2 weeks later, on a Saturday. Unfortunately, she was involved in an accident as she was returning home from Emmons. She called Emmons to let them know what had happened, and they arranged to have her car towed back to their lot. Not only that, but they contacted a body shop to arrange to have it moved there on Monday; they contacted our insurance company to help facilitate the claim processing; they contacted a rental car agency to get her into a rent car that afternoon; and to top it off, Gary Emmons himself drove my daughter to the rent car agency at Hobby Airport to pick up the rent car. He and other staff members stayed after closing time to be sure she was taken care of. In a day and age when "customer service" has all but fallen by the wayside, this entire organization from ownership to sales staff, has gone so far above and beyond, they're off the chart! Kudos especially to Justin Braly and Gary Emmons! They made my daughter and me feel they care about us not just as customers, but as people.

When I was researching Emmons Motor Company, I came upon a testimonial written by Terry Emmons in which he praises an organization which, "understands that a company is only as good as the product it sells as well as their people who sell it." The testimonial was one of many things I read that led me to believe that I'd found the right place to purchase my vehicle.

Emmons Motor Co. had no further obligation to me when I discovered a minor problem with my car a few days after the purchase was final; however, when I called and spoke with Gary Emmons, he immediately assured me that he would have any necessary repairs made to the vehicle. Although I didn't make it easy on him, Gary was more responsive, supportive, and patient than anyone could imagine. To say that he has gone "above and beyond" would be a vast understatement.

It has been my experience that Emmons Motor Company exemplifies Terry Emmons' statement.

when my daughter bought her first car we had her do research. she found emmons online. she thought that it sounded good so we took her over. she found the small car she wanted and they financed her. there was no pressure to buy but they were extremely helpful and courteous.

This dealer is the best dealer that I have dealt with. They have a great internet website that details information about the vehicles that they sell. They specialize in sports cars and small cars. They were very easy to deal with, letting me make the decision and then offering the test drive and financing. I was in and out after purchasing a car within 15 minutes.
