Just got to try their new location...AMAZING! Wonderful facial one day and the full hair treatment the next. Can't wait to use my gift certificate for the mani/pedi! Staff is always courteous and friendly, it's clean and I've never had a bad experience. I've actually had the opposite of the lady complaining about paying and staying late...they stayed well after to accommodate me with no complaints...I really can't see the other scenario happening honestly.

I have been to La Bella many times over the past five years. My first experiences were wonderful. But then in July I had the Yellow Rose facial and manicure, which I had before and loved. Basically this time, it was just a lotion bath. It smelled great but there was no massage or skin care to it. I scheduled a hair appointment recently for a Saturday afternoon thinking that might go better. I arrived ten minutes before the appointment and the receptionist told me that I needed to prepay because they closed exactly at 4pm and did not want to stand around waiting on customers. So I took out my checkbook and she said "don't you have any other way of paying, we don't take checks". She told that they had problems with customers writing bad checks and they did not consider the imposition to customers a problem. I looked around to be sure I was in the right place. Yes, this was La Bella touted as Waco's luxury Spa that couldn't manage to subscribe to a check verification or direct draw system. At that point I was beginning to get that funny feeling in my stomach that usually is the prelude to disaster. I put my Visa back in my purse and headed for the door.

I decided to try this salon because of it's location in Waco. I wish I hadn't. I had a brow wax, eyelash dye, and facial. The eyelash dye was acceptable, but the brow wax left me with only the tinniest line of a brow, which is not what i asked for. The facial although having several lotions and a mask, had only a minimal attempt at extractions which was the type of facial I had requested.
