The ice cream at Amy's is so good that I used to go all the way to Austin a good hour and a half away just to get it. They make all of thier own ice cream on thier own and regularly come up with new flavors. Much like marble slab, you can add ingredients. My personal favorite is the Mexican Vanilla with strawberries when in season, or with crushed oreos when not. Always order a size smaller than what you really want, because they tend to overfil- which saves you money, too!

This is a very fun place. It's very colorful and festive on the inside. The ice cream is good, but expensive. The workers seem to enjoy their job and my kids loved to see them toss the ice cream in the air and catch it in the cups. We love Cold Stone Creamery, and it's still tops in my books because I just think the ice cream is better, but this place is fun and different.

Lots of flavors, lots of funny hats, and dancing on the freezer - what more can you look for in an ice cream parlor! A great place to take your kids on those hot summer days to cool off. Can't decide on a flavor - they'll mix and match any way you want. Top notch service from the employees as well!

What a great icecream place. We went in on a Friday evening and must have been early as there was hardly anyone around. The guys working behind the counter were very friendly and seemed to very much enjoy their job. We got a pint to go and headed home. Hours later, we pulled the coffee/PB Cup icecream out and it was still very soft, which was a complete suprise. The coffee icecream was very strong and oh so wonderful!
We'll def. go back, but may not stay as the music being played was not my cup of tea, but that is not really an issue if the icecream is worth it.

Pros: great ice cream

Cons: music was loud, abit pricy

You can do anything to your ice cream here, even toss your ice cream in the air. Just make sure the scooper doesn't touch the ceiling! My favorite thing to order here is mexican vanilla with strawberries. The portions are HUGE, as well as the price. It seems pretty expensive to pay $6 for ice cream, but the atmosphere and quantity is worth it. I enjoy the music during the week, but no so much on the weekend. It is definately a place for the high schoolers and college scene.

Pros: good location, good product,

Cons: pricey, noisey atmosphere

Amy's is always a nice place to drop by when crusing The Quarry, nothing beats ice cream in the sizzling TX heat!
Although i love to hang out there w/my friends, i do find some of the flavors a bit too sweet, often need to down some water after eating the ice cream (i am a die hard fan of bitter sweet ice creams of Hagendoz & Italian Gelato). However their yogurt suits me just right, and they do carry a good selection of toppings.

Always busy & always good ice cream, especially the Mexican Vanilla! Smash some other of your favorite toppings in there and you've got one of the best treats available in SA.
Friendly staff may deliver your order via air-mail, as they are in the habit of tossing the scoops up and catching them to add a little theatrical topping to your ice cream.
Sweet place to treat the family or go after a dinner date.

Pros: Fresh

Cons: not much seating
