Holt Large Animal Clinic

This clinic and doctor's prices are absurd and the response time is ridiculously SLOW! Also Dr. Holt does have an uncanny approach and attitude. Dr. Holt does not offer any type of reachable full-time knowledgeable personnel. In fact the office personnel comes across as very illiterate; lacking in accommodating the clientele's questions or needs in which an educated staff should be able to provide. They offer no type of on-site medical care or boarding facilities. The mobile service, equipment knowledge and technology is very outdated, being at a bare minimum. They obviously are get by with no attempts in keeping up with new advancements. I cannot recommend this clinic and doctor, with a clear honest conscious, to any person.

I began using Dr. Holt when he first came to Texas right after his graduation, back when he was working for the Kaufman Vet in 1991. He was fired from there due to some unethical and wrongful practice. I followed him to a vet in Talty, a kind older gentlemen. Tim left there to begin his own practice, and when he left he again left under extreme negative conditions. Of course I did not find out all this until after I finally made the best decision for my horses and barn to leave Dr. Holt in 2008. Dr. Holt was a go getter at the beginning but he slowly began to decline in his work ethics, reliability, work performance and personal appearance. It had gotten to the point of not being able to reach him even through his pager service. He would not return emergency pages for days. He would schedule an appointment and not show and not even call for days to reschedule, some times he would have his secretary or fiance to call making up excuses. Dr. Holts appearance was clear evidence that he had some type of medical or chemical problems and his work ethics were beginning to show this fact. I have been in the horse business for over 40 years and know many trainers, competitors, sellers/buyers, and pleasure owners who use to use Dr. Holt; every single one of them ended up firing Dr. Holt due to his unstableness and unreliability; not to include his unprofessional advances toward married woman that went way beyond flirting. Our horses health and welfare was not worth this Doctors personal issues which are very evident by his physical appearance and nose deformity, and inadequate professional services.

Tim is a very reliable vet I have used him for 10yrs. He is very professional. He is a flirt but what mans not. Thanks Tim for great job of taking care of my horses. You are a great vet.

Besides being slow in responding to an emergency, or not responding at all, this guy's prices are higher than other local more ethical and moral vets. This DVM's overall character and practice is extremely shady, strongly lacking in integrity.

My professional and personal experiences with Tim Holt have been nothing but negative. He takes too long returning emergency calls, never on time or does not show up, prices are too high. If you want a professional relationship with a reliable veterinarian then I would not recommend using Tim Holt. Tim is a self-pitying, double-dealing, womanizing, manipulator. This lotharios struggles with low self-esteem and his behavior is far from innocent. You will know this only after the fact of a personal or professional relationship with him.
