Our company USED to buy tool boxes, head ache racks, etc. from Stone's UNTIL I tried to get some warranty help from them. I had a UWS tool box that was only 2 years old that was not abused that would no longer latch or lock and one of the shocks had come unattached. When I took it to the manager of the Round Rock store he told me that the screw holding the latch on and the nut holding the shock on had come loose and that they weren't warranty items, they were maintenance items. In my disbelief I asked him how screws/nuts coming off during normal opening and closing of the top was maintenance and he said "Well, you have to change the oil in your truck, right? It's the same thing. The warranty only covers craftsmanship. It's like your tires...You don't expect them to last forever, do you?" How was the tool box falling apart after two years a failure on our part to perform proper maintenance??? How was expecting a tool box to open and close for TWO years an unrealistic life span??? I would consider screws/nuts coming off that are NOT supposed to come off POOR craftsmanship! After going round and round in this absurd discussion I finally stormed off and vowed to NEVER give stones any of our business again.

Since they've moved they're into a larger building and the selections have increased. They carry everything from Toneau Covers, camper shells, auto parts and more. They also build trailors and they always have a stack of skeleton trailors ready to go. They carry fiberglass and metal truck covers. Great place to go if you're customizing your vehicle!
