Midas Manufacturing

I am completely sold on having a professional jeweler hand make my jewelery. The people at Midas were so amazing. Charles and his staff helped me pick something unique for my mother. They bet any other retail jewelery store on price and quality. Not to mention customer service. No one else has anything that I have gotten from Midas. I love everything that I have ever had done there. Charles even cleans my wedding band whenever I show up. I have grown to love him and his group of craftsmen. I would never go anywhere else.

I went to Midas with an idea for my wedding rings. The staff were patient and helpful, showing me how to improve my ideas and change it from a "good" ring to a "great" one. Seeking purple stones, I thought we would be stuck with amethysts- but the team at Midas found two sets of matching purple sapphires!!! They worked with me to cover every detail- and the rings were incredible. My wife was speechless- and even a year on, we still get comments everywhere we go.

The other pieces we have had done, were all handled with the same professionalism and result. I will never go to another jeweler! Charles and the Midas Team are the best of the best!!

I wanted to have my wedding and engagement bands redone and wanted a local jeweler so my money would stay in the Austin economy. I had a large (>1 ct.) diamond that I wanted placed in a different setting and wedding band to match it. My husband and I picked out the new setting and bands and eagerly awaited him to finish them. When we picked them up, we were not happy with the quality of work that was done - many of the channel-set diamonds were crooked and the diamonds weren't even all the same color/clarity. It looked like cheap costume jewelry when he was finished with it. The owner was incredibly rude to us and to his staff and he was unwilling to listen to our complaints about the jewelry and fix it to our satisfaction. We ended up taking it them to Kay's to pick out new settings and bands all over again.

PROS:
CONS: awful service, bad craftsmanship
