Wiltshire Randy Dvm - Lakeside Animal Clinic

We have just started taking our dog to Lakeside and we have had wonderful overall impression of this facility. They were very warm and inviting from the moment we arrived.

Also, they do all shots and exams in front of you. Personally, I was not a huge fan of vets/techs taking the dogs to the back to do these minor things so this was a great change for us.

Our dog was spayed and we were invited to come a week before she was scheduled to tour the facility and go over the procedure/ after-care instructions, including how they would sedate her. I can't say enough how much it means to have our vet take the time to get to know our pet and us. They sent us home with a 'letter from Dixie' detailing the day and the procedure. We also got a follow up phone call to check in on her recovery. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a smoother transition from our old vet to Lakeside.

Take your dog here. I promise you won't be disappointed.

EXCELLENT ANIMAL CLINIC.....the staff and Dr. Whiltshire are always friendly and takes good care of my 2 pets and always gives all the information I need and also sends reminders! Would not go any where else! Awesome !!!

Our experience at Lakeside Animal Clinic was not a very positive one. Our pet was very sick and urinating blood when the staff tried to sell us a senior wellness blood work package before our pet could be examined and treated by the DVM ownership. This same DVM prescribed an antibiotic and scheduled surgery five days later to remove a mass he stated his ultrasound equipment found in our pet??s bladder. While waiting for the scheduled surgery on our pet, we had a second ultrasound performed at another veterinarian clinic and the bladder mass could not be found. Also, the second DVM was shocked our pet was scheduled for surgery while still fighting an infection with antibiotics. (all facts supported by our initial invoice, appointment card, and medical records from both DVM clinics)

UPDATE: We see Dr. Wiltshire has made a plea of help to all his past/current clients to help rescue his clinics reputation, but how many little souls are there that are not being heard from. Dr. Wiltshire now obviously understands the seriousness of his mistake in the treatment of our pet with this plea of help he as made. POINT MADE!!!. Moving on, our pet has recovered with the help of another DVM, with no surgery performed, and we will pray for all Dr. Wiltshire??s past, current and future clients pets.

We have been clients of Lakeside for 24 years, with both Dr.McCann and Dr. Wiltshire. They have cared for several of our pets over the years- 2 cats, 4 dogs, and a stray bird. Lakeside has provided outstanding medical services, and they really care about our pets.

Lakeside may not be the most economical veterinary service but the quality of care is worth the price paid.

I began using Dr. Wiltshire immediately after he completed veterinary school(over 8 yrs. ago). After five years of wonderful care for my 3 dogs & 4 cats he moved to his new location. I now drive across town to continue using his clinic. I have had animals continuously for the past 62 yrs. & have gone to many veterinarians, but Dr. Wiltshire is definitively the best I have ever encountered. He not only cares deeply for the animal but also for the pet's owner. I know my animals are receiving the best possible care when they are treated by him.

Dr. Wiltshire is the best veternarian i have ever gone to. My cat MOLLY was very ill after being in a cat fight and needed to be seen immediately he took the time out and i was able to take her in at my convenience. I would recommend this vet to anyone who needs emergency or just any kind of care for their pet. I love this vet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Keep up the good work believe me the negative remarks posted is a lie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dr. Wiltshire and his staff have saved our dog on more than one occassion. They succeeded where other vets failed, and they went above and beyond to ensure that our pet received the best care possible. We are truely grateful, and we will continue to be loyal clients as long as we are pet owners.

I have gone to Lakeside Animal Clinic for years, and I have always been very happy with them (both with Dr. Wiltshire and his staff). In fact, I drive 30 miles each way to take my dogs there & I have recommended them to several of my friends. Dr. Wiltshire helped us through difficult times with an elderly dog, and I never felt like I was overcharged or rushed into any treatments. In fact, he has responded to emails after hours when I was worried about my dogs. This is an awesome clinic & I wouldn't take my dogs anywhere else!

I work in the medical field and always feel the professionalism whether I'm calling on the phone or in the office. I would never think of bringing my French Bull Dog anywhere else. She gets the best care I know is available. lakeside Animal Clinc Rocks

The first thing that comes to mind when I think of the staff over at Lakeside is the good energy that you feel as soon as you walk through the door. I have been taking my furry children to Lakeside for years and hear me when I say, Dr. W and staff give a hoot about the well-being of the animals. It's not just a clock those folks punch over there; they are passionate about the care they give and it comes across loud and clear. I feel incredibly fortunate having found such a quality veterinarian with an A+ staff. I have and will continue to recommend Lakeside all day long.

Dr. Wiltshire has always been a professional, responsive and caring veterinarian to my pets. His staff are very thorough and understanding. I will continue to seek his medical aid for my cat and dog and recommend his service to any of my friends!

I am so sorry to hear that someone is bad mouthing Lakeside and do believe they are just unhappy in life and looking to make someone else??s life miserable!! I started bringing Pico to Dr. McCann almost 6 years ago and when Dr. Wiltshire stepped in and took over I still feel Pico, Lucky (our new addition to the family) and I are part of the family and that all your staff treats my babies like their own and I especially like that you and everyone there are available at a moment??s notice!
Whoever is writing bad reviews about Lakeside is an idiot...I have seen and heard horror stories about several other vets around town, why dont you try one of them, they deserve to be bad mouthed!!!

My daughter and I have been going to Lakeside Animal Clinic for our pets' wellness care since 2008. During that time, we have suffered more than one pet tragedy. What struck me most about Dr. Wiltshire and his staff was how much they truly cared about the welfare of our animals during those times of crisis. They have been there for us and our "furry children" whenever we have needed them, often going above and beyond to meet our specific needs. Never once have they overcharged us or tried to sell us something unnecessary. In fact, there have been a couple of times when they waived their fee altogether. Dr. Wiltshire has such a gentle and genuinely caring manner with animals, and his staff is so friendly and helpful -- I am truly proud to recommend Lakeside Animal Clinic!

3 years ago when I brought home a puppy, I searched the internet to find a vet to get us through the initial shots. I didn't know what to look for and I just stumbled across Lakeside Animal Clinic. They were local, so I made an appointment. I have NEVER had a single complaint about them! We wound up bringing home another puppy a year later who, as we found out upon her initial visit with Dr. Wiltshire, had a pretty risky heart condition. Dr. Wiltshire, and his entire staff, gave us nothing but support and ideas that were both helpful to Lady and within our budget (which is not an easy thing to do!). Both of our dogs are now healthy and happy, and LOVE going to Lakeside because everyone just dotes on them...and gives them tons of spray cheese. Everyone in this clinic is fantastic with animals and has such a great attitude towards their customers. I've never felt that anyone at the clinic wouldn't do what it might take to ensure my pets are healthy and happy. This clinic genuinely cares about the animals that they see. I hope I never have to move, because it'll be a real challenge finding a veterinary service that's half as good as Lakeside.

The complaint is so out of character for this vet and his staff. I found them just before Ike came in because I had two storm phobic dogs. I have stayed with them because of their care both of me and my dogs. I recently called because of two dogs coming down with kennel cough and they made arrangements for me to come in late in the day so as not to infect any other patients that could have been in the waiting room.

Any vet that will work with rescues and treat them the same as any other patient speaks volumes.

I was disheartened when I learned the puppy I adopted last year had distemper. The first vet I visited had little hope, prepared me for the worst and sent me home. Thankfully, my sister recommended I obtain a second opinion from her vet, Dr. Wiltshire. His care, devotion, knowledge, professionalism and kindness were evident immediately. Dr. W and his staff were realistic, yet hopeful, as they accurately treated the usually terminal disease. During the entire process, Dr. W was readily available to us at his office or by phone/email, responding at all hours as he expertly coached us through the dreadful disease. Today, Sofi is a healthy and happy puppy, and I couldn't imagine trusting her care to any other doctor but Dr. Wiltshire. Since the distemper, Dr. W. has diagnosed and treated Sofi for skin allergies and impacted anal glands. In all cases, the initial advisable treatment was the least invasive/expensive. The prices are fair, options are presented without bias, and the staff is responsive, professional, friendly and compassionate. The entire office is a class act. I have had the pleasure of recommending Dr. W. to two friends and they experienced the same exemplary service. I am proud to recommend Lakeside Animal Clinic.

I've had pets all of my life and have dealt with many vets. I can honestly say that Dr. W is the absolute best. He will take the time and explain everything to you. He also lays out all options instead of pressuring you to do something.

The staff is also incredible. Michelle is the nicest and most friendly person you'll ever meet.

You won't be disappointed!

My family and our 4 cats moved to Houston 7 years ago and have been going to the Lakeside Animal Clinic on Kirkwood ever since. After Dr. Wiltshire took over, things have gotten even better, if that was possible. It's very comforting to know that our cats are going to one of the best places in Houston.

Dr Wiltshire and his staff are the best. I am new to this area and because I care about my dog I checked out several Vet's. And then I found Lakeside. I cannot tell you how great and caring they are. Prices are reasonable, staff is excellent. Everyone is very caring and helpful not only toward our precious dog Duke but also us. The office and pet rooms are clean. Michelle had fresh coffee in the waiting room. Dr Wiltshire is very experienced and competent! This is a very experienced,organized and first class animal hospital. I highly recommend them.

I went in with my dog who had been sick for a while. He had seen 2 other vets and none of their treatments were working. Dr Wilshire figured out exactly what was going on and the problem is gone! The staff is very nice and friendly. Ronnie is a hoot! I actually enjoy taking my dog in...not sure he enjoys it as much. LOL. I would recommend this clinic to anyone with pets.

If there was a 6th star, they would get it.

I have had pets all my life, and have grown accustomed to the same type of veterinarians. However, Dr. Wiltshire at Lakeside is different. He goes above and beyond to explain what is going on with your pet, he is very intelligent and knows his stuff, too! Above all, he is down-to-earth and friendly (and kind of cute :)) His staff is amazing. They are compassionate and very friendly. You can just tell that they want what is best for my animals. Their prices are reasonable, and I think a great value for the level of service you get. I have been going to this clinic for several years, and liked Dr McCann...but Dr Wiltshire is top-notch! I would recommend them to anyone.
