For a family-friendly town like Rockwall, the YMCA seems a little behind the times. What they do have is a great location with room to expand, a giant pool, and decent workout facilities. What they don't have is a professional staff who can quickly and efficiently sign you up, check you in, answer your questions, and teach classes appropriately.
If you're just wanting a place to go for a quick workout on your own, the Rockwall YMCA is fine. If you're looking for a place to teach your kids to swim, help you with your fitness goals, or provide any extras whatsoever, you may want to keep looking.
PROS: Great pool (but it's hot in there!)
CONS: Service without a smile
