SPA  5 Star Rating - World class

I had a great experience at the Spa in the BodyBusiness health club ( Davenport). It is open to the public too!! The prices are so reasonable and the massage is one of the best I have ever experienced. Ceil has 11 years experience and healing hands. Very intuitive and a real hands on massage . Broad spectrum from deep tissue to amazing energy work... a true healer. I am lucky to have found such a great therapist. She just knows every time where to begin and what I need. A very deep and centering experience .My body and life have improved immensly.

Debunking ga8625 4 Star Rating - Very good

First, the little person with the screen name 'ga8625' has posted an incredibly viscious, personal attack against Bryan Lepley in this review section. I can only assume that this ***** (and I assume a woman) has a personal vendetta against Bryan. Maybe he didn't drool over her tush because he has a beautiful wife. Maybe he didn't drool over her BMW (go figger). She apparently has the same level of self-motivation as Bill Clinton going to marrage counseling. Bryan doesn't drool...he sweats, and he motivates me to sweat and work MY tush off, as I train twice a week with him in his spinning classes. Obviously the overall tone of her posting illustrates a destructive rather than constructive ethos on life. OK, so a thin skinned (proof in the towel comment!), viscious little girl whose comments should be regarded as such.

As to Body Business (Davenport), I have belonged to probably 10 different gyms in 5 different cities in my life, and this place is by far the cleanest and best maintained gym I have been affiliated with. There are always at least 1 or 2 employees on the floor to answer questions and maintain/clean/replace the equipment. Never an issue with overcrowding at any station on the circuit, or in the free weight section. The equipment is first class and more than adequate to handle the customer flow. I work out in Bryan's Tuesday evening 1 hour and Saturday morning 1.5 hour (horror, non business hours) spinning classes. I am addicted to Bryan's classes. He doesn't jump up & down, HE IS ON A FRIGGIN BIKE! My 20 yr old UT triathelete daughter attends these classes with me and like me finds the music 'great' and motivating, and the classes incredibly challenging. And we agree he doesn't just make you sweat and raise your heartbeat, he is an animated, inspired trainer who paints vivid pictures in his variety of training scenarios.

Oh yeah, and ga8625 if you are a 'man' please don't drool over my tush,as you act like a viscious little *****.

Pros: NOT having the Soap channel, great facility. Bryan.
Cons: The spinning bikes REALLY need an upgrade as spinning always draw a full crowd.

Bryan Lepley delivers the BEST Cycling in the City of Austin 5 Star Rating - World class

This facility is remarkably clean, the staff is family and every time I walk out the door I am grateful and full of delight for the positive and very memorable experience I have encountered while there. The owner of the Club, Susan O. Cooper, is on the premises daily enhancing each members experience by her pure and absolute passion to deliver the highest quality services. In my opinion, Susan is driven by an absolute drive to positively impact the lives of her members and this drive penetrates throughout the club and is present in all staff. BBD is truly a remarkable Club and Spa!!!! No matter what your fitness goals are or your spa needs, I am certain BBD will meet your every need and surpass your every expectation in doing so. I have been a client at BBD for years. Last year my office moved to downtown and I live in Cedar Park. However, many of the unique and outrageously value oriented services that BBD has to offer motivate and inspire me to commute clear across town on a regular basis for Kinesis, Pilates, yoga, personal training, massage, facials, nutritional counseling and OUTSTANDING fun and effective group exercise classes taught by absolute professionals and nationally recognized well respected instructors. In my opinion, BBD employs two of the very best cycling instructors in town being Michele Granryd, the GM, and Bryan Lepley, the Director of Personal Training. I have sampled most cycle classes in town and find the two above instructors to be ELITE and the VERY best in Austin. Bryan Lepley recently impressed me so with a back to back Saturday cycle class he taught which was my last cycle training session before I departed to France for an International World Championship competition. His cycle classes are so well delivered that an athlete preparing for a world championship competition can ride next to another that may be just embarking on a new fitness regimen and each will receive exactly the workout they need to advance in their goals.

Pros: Best Cycling Classes in town
Cons: Not located near my office or home

Body Business Is The Greatest!!

I joined Body Business in Feb. after having back surgery with complications last Aug.I started working out with Bryan twice a week. After awhile, he suggested I start Pilates which I also do twice a week with Julie. If I'm not working out with either one of them, I'm working out on my own.My life has changed and my pain has subsided. I owe it all to Bryan and Julie! They are the greatest!!
Body Business has state of the art equipment, extremely clean, and a super friendly staff! I highly recommend Body Business.Cisco

Pros: extremely clean facility, great trainer, great

Don't believe everything you read! 5 Star Rating - World class

Wow! I've never had a bad experience at BodyBusiness and I've been a member since they opened in Davenport Village 3 years ago. It sounds like the guy who posted below has a personal issue. Personally, I love the class selection - especially the cycle classes where you find a variety of instructors with great music and motivation! The staff makes me feel special and pampered as if I was an honored guest in their home.

They are always trying new things like Kinesis and Zumba and the management does listen - they added two Tai Chi classes when we asked for them.

I've had a chance to try both personal training and Pilates and honestly was a bit nervous because I have a bad back. I have gotten great results - lost 10 pounds overall and my back is in great shape. Keep it up BodyBusiness - I don't want to exercise with party poopers!

Pros: parking is great and the atmosphere is really comfortable
Cons: I wish the Soap channel was an option to watch on the cardio equipment

The Emperor's New Gym 1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

Dont judge a book by its cover. This gym looks great during a walk through but Buyer beware! Yes, its great to belong to a fancy gym that provides a clean towel upon every visit - but when that towel feels like sand paper against your skin... C'mon for $85 a month invest in some quality linens! I wouldnt wash my BMW with these rags! I suppose this gym would be ok for a soccer mom or a geriatric with a flexible schedule but professionals should steer clear - that is if you want to take classes. Most are during the day with hardly any after 5. The trainers are second rate. I have taken Pilates for 3 years, these instructors were amateur at best - for $60+ an hour- if you dont know any better you'll be fine. The cycling class was a joke. their premier trainer is a joke. He is a seld proclaimed cycling guru that does succeed in making cycling BORING! How can that be? The most intense adrenelin pumping class... well it might be because he plays yoga music, or perhaps that he speaks like an automatron - You wont hear any rockin tunes or "woo hoo, you can do it!" You will hear, in an angry Dr. Spock kind of way, "some of you have not committed. You must commit." Bryan can make the most fun class painful and hard to get through - and not because you are getting a good work out but because he makes it so unbearably boring, annoying and irritating. Oh - but you cant complain because management wont listen. They LOVE him! The good news is that consumers can respond with their pocketbook. I am no longer a member.

Pros: Clean locker room, geriatric friendly
Cons: Over priced, mediocre trainers, smelly, unventilated cycling room
