I first went to Savioe based on all the positive comments I found on this site. I saw only a few negative comments and now that I've been there a couple times I can tell you they're all false. I have nothing bad to say about Savoie because they went above and beyond any other place I've ever been. Edward was very knowledgeable about any and all questions I asked and everyone was very friendly and were interested in getting to know me. Not only that but Edward gave me a look each time that best flattered my facial features.

This salon has the best of both worlds: Mr. and Mrs. Napolitan make you feel right at home while the superb quality of service and products are straight out of West Hollywood. I have the best hair cut of my life now! The products made my hair the shiniest it has ever been. Excellent salon!

My experience was much like one that was posted in November of '08. I read all of the reviews and thought this must be a great place for a cut and color. Boy was I wrong! Ed talked the entire appointment and there wasn't a moment where he wasn't trying to sell something to me, even if I didn't need it. I don't think he even paid attention while he was cutting my hair because when I got home one side was about an inch longer than the other. He also gave me highlights in my hair, but did not bother to touch up the grays. So, two weeks after getting a cut and color and paying close to $200, I had to find another hairdresser to get rid of my grays and to fix my cut. I ended up paying a lot of money to get my hair done that month! Luckily, I was able to leave Savoie without purchasing any additional products.

color, cut ,style, facial products. make overs, special ocassion hair and makeup, extensions -- you name it -- trust me -- I've been all over the world -- had reknown artists -- Edward, Cheryl, Robin, Kaivan and Cora are the best, hands down. I've known Edward for 30+ years from NYC, I am so thankful that I found him again in Dallas since 2000. Cheryl is astonishing!!! Irreplaceable !!! Robin is incredible -- I trust no one outside of Savoie -- once you give them the opportunity, you will never, never go anywhere else!!!

I will never forget my first visit to Savoie Salon. I went in with fire orange/red/yellow hair. It was horrific. After talking with me to get an idea of what I wanted, Ed developed a color and highlights for me that was wonderful. When I left there, my hair was beautiful, and I felt like a million dollars. I feel that way every time I leave the salon. This is the only salon for me. Ed, Cheryl and Cora are wonderful, and the products are amazing. Thank you Savoie!

I first visited the salon for an Computer Imaging session and consultation with Cora, to determine the most flattering hair style for me. That began a 10 year relationship highlighted by exceptional hair care, hair styling for both long and short hair, individual skin care analysis, and product suggestions. As I have changed, Ed, my stylist, has made suggestions to correspond with my life style changes and with current styles. His make up sessions are fabulous---he did my make up for my daughter's wedding and he has continued to offer suggestions as I have "gracefully" aged.
The entire staff is friendly, yet professional. The salon is spotless. And Cheryl has the hands of an angel. I confess that color has always been tricky for me. Cheryl and Ed have the problem solved. My friends frequently ask for the name of the salon I use because they find my hair style so perfect for me. I would not dream of letting anyone touch my hair, except the personnel at Salon Savoie. They make sure my life does not include high maintenance or unhealthy hair. I don't have time for that - but I always look forward to my appointment at the salon.

I searched the internet for the "Best" short hair in Dallas - Savoie - was one of 3 - and had the best review's - especially - Robin - who could fix any mistake. I had a dreadfull - dry razor cut. Robin provided a great cut and explained to me what I needed. The atmosphere is warm and relaxing. Robin is delightful and extremely knowledgeable. The Best. I am very happy and have finally found the perfect place for me and my Hair.

Kaivan, Kaivan! i initially went in to have my hair colored, as Kaivan evaluated my hair, he asked if he could cut my hair? i agreed...BOY was i glad! i received soooo many compliments on my hair. i didn't get my hair colored that day, but i have since then only let Kaivan cut my hair!

I had the pleasure of meeting Robin in April with a real challenge. I had colored my own hair( don't ask) and had a school cut my hair. Well neither of us (me nor the school) new what we were doing. I needed help! Robin helped me out alot. She was great and very patient. Everyone at Savoie Salon was great and very nice. I would recommend this salon to everyone.

I came to Kaivan as a new mom and had a picture of what I wanted. Many times before, I had asked stylists to cut my hair short. Between being pregnant and then having the baby it just seemed the logical thing to do. Over and over again each stylist told me that if I cut my hair short it would exaggerate my round face. So I was put off it. So once again, I went to a new stylist, Kaivan, and told him my situation. I had brought a picture with me. He told me that it would be no problem and he could customize the look that I wanted. So, nervously, I went under the scissors. He also broke up some of the blonde that I had become really bored with. By the time he was done, not only was I completely relaxed but I was also in a great mood. Man, what a character he is! He showed me exactly how to style my hair and gave me some tips. When he was done, I was thrilled. My hair looked great. I walked out of the salon with a great sense of confidence. When I got home I still loved it but I was worried that it wouldn't look as great when I washed it and did it myself. Man was I wrong! My hair is too short to put it in a pony tail so I have no excuses. It takes me 20 minutes to do my hair which it used to take an hour and I love it. I always have it done now. I can't thank Kaivan enough for what he did. He has a client for life!

I met Robin as a result of my having gone to a beauty school (out of financial necessity) and having had my hair (it seemed) ruined! Robin was able to get my hair color right and keep my hair from falling out, while ending up with a very stylish, complimentary style/cut.

Savoie Salon offers a very comfortable yet professional environment, and Robin is always very professional and fun to be around. I would recommend Robin (and the salon) to everyone. You don't have to come into the salon with a "hair crisis" to begin with (though it is the place to go if in need). I'm sure Robin would delight in getting to do folks hair that have not been almost destroyed before she even comes on the scene!

The bottom line is: Robin saved the day for me! and I truly appreciate her and her associates at the salon.

This salon has got every thing a girl needs..... Top stylist, great conversation, excelent atmosphere.... a place just to kick up your heels and relax.
When I walked in the salon lets just say I was sporting St. Paddys day on my head. I had decided to to take things in my own hand and i did a number on my hair. Now what do I do....So i called Robin up and she was able to squeez me in that day..Thank God. Thanks to her I was able to get my hair back to looking normal in a timely manner.
Thanks Robin once again for saving the day, I love you guys and if weren't for y'all I would probably be in a circus right now as the clown.

Robin welcomed me on time and took time with me to discuss my hair and my abilities to work with it. She understood what was going on with my hair, told me why it was going on and made suggestions to change it so it would enhance my appearance and not detract . I was very comfortable while she was working on my hair as she was describing what she was doing and why. I left feeling like a new person. I will definitely return.

What a pleasant surprise! I was in need of advise for my unruly, brassy and otherwise just no style hair. I went in for a complementary consult with Ed (the owner). He spent almost an hour just asking about life style, what I used, and general questions regarding my hair care and style regiment. He gave me some ideas on color and style with no pressure to do anything right away. After going home to think about it I made an appointment for color and cut. When I came back in I was greeted as if I was a long time customer and friend. Ed gave me a couple of options for corrective color and once I made the choice it was just a great experience. Every detail was done with precision and professionalism. I made a drastic change in my color and highlights and was just a little nervous but Ed, Cora and Cheryl were great and made sure that I knew the right products and how to style my new look! I came out with a completely updated, new look - one that I can style! I will be a regular at Savoie Salon!

Robin's a good listener and evaluated the type of hair I have and what's best for it, keeping in mind what I wanted the final outcome to be. She colored and cut it, and it turned out very nice. People have complimented it, and I am pleased with the finished look. Edward, the salon owner, was there when I went for my first visit and he is a very cordial person. The salon was clean and its location (near The Galleria in Dallas) is convenient. Robin accommodated my need for an appointment near 6 pm. I will definitely return to this salon and have Robin do my hair again.

Where to begin? Well first thing first Sovie is in a great neighborhood giving you that hip downtown feel without the smog. The service was also great Cora, Ed and Cheryl were all greeting me as soon as I came and coming by Robin's station every now and again to see how things are going. I was getting spoiled from everyone, especially Robin. Now Robin is the perfect hair stylist!!! She took care of me in every way and I got the princess treatment from the moment I entered the salon. She colored me hair, gave me highlights and extensions, did my make up and waxed my eyebrows. She really knew what she was doing as far as color giving me a spicy look with a fire red color and combining it with honey blond highlights. This looked HOT!!!! Then she added purple extensions giving me that hot, sassy look that I dreamed about. My hair finally matches my personality, wild and crazy! She also waxed my eyebrows and did my make up, she took her time and matched the shades perfectly to my eyes and my skin color. When she did my eyebrows she was real gentle, she didn't just rip off my face like other people have in fact my eyebrows weren't even swollen or beat red. I looked ready for anything by the time I walked out of there and I owe it all to her!!!

I saw an add in Clipper magazine with coupons attached. I was so tired of paying big money for my hair and being left totally flat with hair I could not manage. I decided to make the call because I had a discount coupon and at least I wouldn't pay full price if I didn't like it. I was greeted by Cora, one of the salon owners and then Robin who was my stylist. First let me tell you about the salon. The ambiance is very relaxing and friendly, you are greeted by everyone there. Robin took me to her station and we went through a complete consultation. She asked me about my life style, the time I have in the morning and how good am I at doing my hair. We then talked about my color and how I saw myself. At that point she made some suggestions as to what she thought I should do. I decided to let her do what she thought would look good. Through the whole process I was constantly introduced to different people of the salon. I met Edward and Cora the owner's, Cheryl, Edwards color tech and Paige the other stylist at the salon. Kaivan, Robin's husband from England will be joining them in February. My expirience was more like comming home than going to the salon. The best part of this expirience was the outcome of my hair! I love it! Robin taught me how to work with my new hair. For the first time in years I can finally say not only was I delighted walking out but also with how it looks after I do it!!! This is definately a must go to salon!

After I moved to Dallas, I could not find anyone to color and cut my hair the way that I wanted it done. My daughter suggested Robin who worked at Savoie. Frankly I was very apprehensive when I first went, but the result was stunning. My hair is quite difficult to work with and she colored and styled it in the most attractive way. I was very fortunate to find the Savoie and Robin to do my hair. The experience of having my hair done at the Savoie Salon was extremely enjoyable. Everyone there is very friendly and helpful. Also the Savoie Salon is very convenient for me. It is located near the Galeria.

Read all the reviews and thought this would be the final stop on my journey for the perfect hairdresser. Boy was I wrong. As was stated in another review, Ed sure does have his spiel down perfectly. You can tell he give the same exact line to every client. I'm sure he tests everyone's skin and not a single person has ever passed. I'm used to the hard sell of products, but this was rediculous. I purchased about $300.00 worth of products and found the only thing that was different from any other product I ever purchased was the moisture mist . You need about 1/4 cup of shampoo to work up a lather. He also sold me on the special hairbrush that looks like a crimper but dries hair smoothly. This was a great product, however I paid 14.99 and have seen in at Nordstrom and CVS for $6.00. Oh yea there is that special facial chamois for 14.99, I have also seen that for $6.00. I would not have been motivated to write this review had I not listened to Ed bolster himself up to the status of a "haircutting God", so as you might think I was expecting the best haircut of my life.....For me, that was not the case. Maybe he was just having a bad day but it was by far the worst haircut I ever had. My hair was so uneven my husband noticed ! The cut was a super precision cut which made all the mistakes much more noticeable. The next day I was with friends and they also noticed. Fortunately they were able to trim it so that it looked okay.
Granted, I had to leave town for two weeks the afternoon of my cut, so I did not give Ed a chance to correct his mistake. I'm sure had I gone back, he would have fixed it. However, at the price of $280.00 for cut and highlights, I was not willing to try again.

Do you ever look in the mirror and get tired of seeing the same old face? Well, I did and for my 57th birthday I wanted to find a salon that would truly give me a new look. I wanted a professional stylist that could critically evaluate me and decide what was best for me based on my age, my skin coloring and my lifestyle. I got that and more at Savoie Salon. Ed chose a beautiful blend of colors for my hair and a new cut and got me started on a skin care regiment that has already improved my skin. I received a complete makeup session from Ed where he not only expertly applied the products, but also carefully explained why and how to use each product to accentuate the positives and reduce the negatives. Ed and his hard working assistant, Cheryl, did a wonderful professional job in giving me a whole new look. And, thanks to Ed's patient teaching, I'm even satisfied with my ability to recreate the hairstyle and makeup application at home. Ed, Cheryl, and Ed's lovely and gracious wife, Cora, made me feel like a whole different person. Even though this salon is 2 1/2 hours away from where I live, I can't imagine going anywhere else now that I've experienced the "best".

Getting highlights can sometimes be a scary choice for a guy, but Cheryl is at the top of her game when it comes to color and highlights! She makes sure you get the "natural" look which takes some skill, and she definitely has what it takes to make you look like a rockstar! Their prices are very reasonable and the outcome and professional advice you receive is priceless! I have recommended this place to several people and would trust nobody else when it comes to getting a professional look!

I went to Savoie Salon for a full make-over. ( By the way I am 50 years old). I really needed everyhing. From color, style and make-up. I put myself totally in Ed's hands. I was stunned with the results. I look 10 years younger. My hair and color is to die for. I purchased all the products. At a reasonable price ( I might add). I got rid of all my other cosmetics because thier make-up was so great. I have been to Jose Eber and Toni & Guy and have never had the same level of service or results, i would never go anywhere else.

I have long, naturally curly hair. This has been difficult to manage and make look good, but since I discovered Elana Quadravalent products at Savoie Salon 10 years ago, I've not had that problem. I've tried other salon products including Alterna and Aveda, and drug-store products from Pantene to Suave, and none of them produced anything like the fabulous results I get from Elana. Soft, glossy, defined curls. No crunchiness, stickiness, or itchy scalp. Thank you, Savoie, for making these products available to the public, AND for shipping them anywhere in the U.S.! I've moved across the country several times since discovering Savoie and Elana in Dallas, and have been able to keep using Elana products thanks to this salon. So appreciated!!

After having the same hair style for many years, I never thought of changing. However, my wife had raved about Ed and his staff for many years. I decided it was time to get out of my comfort zone and seek the help of a professional. Ed took one look at my hair and told me my present hair style did not match the shape of my head. After that first hair cut, I began receiving compliments from so many different people -- some noticed my hair, some thought I had lost weight, others just told me that whatever I was doing I needed to keep it up.

Hats off to Ed, Cora, and Cheryl for their fine work and for being such good people.

First of all, this is my first time to ever wanted to write a review on anything. I am so impressed with this salon, I had to contribute.

Here is my story: Although I have lived in the Dallas area before, it has been almost 10 years. I just moved back and I had been putting off getting my hair done thinking that I would be able to go back to Houston and get it done there - but my hair was starting to look very bad. I came to this site, read the reviews and decided to call to try to make an appointment. When I called, I spoke to Robert and he was so nice and fit me in the same day for highlights and a hair cut (even though Ed had a show to do later that day and was very busy). When I arrived, everyone was so nice and I could not believe the knowledge that everyone had. Furthermore, the fact that you could tell how much everyone loved what they do for a living made the biggest difference! For the first time (EVER), I walked out of a salon feeling beautiful, educated, and could not stop looking in the mirror. It was almost like I had gone in for an extreme makeover! I will never go anywhere else!

I've not had many GREAT haircuts in my life. I've had some good ones, but sometimes trying to find the hairstyle that really works for ME is just a crapshoot. I'm picky and i have hard to work with hair. Savoie is right down the street from my office, so I took a chance based on the reviews here. I was NOT disappointed. Ed's personalized attention goes beyond normal conversation. He took the time to find out about me, my self-image, the things that are important to me, all the while analyzing my hair and face shape to come up with the best style for ME. I love it. I look like my best self.

Prices are a little higher than I have paid in the past, but the haircut is worth every penny. If you want a haircut that flatters your face and your personality, don't go anywhere else. Savoie will not disappoint. You WILL get your money's worth.

Everyone knows the kind of haircut so exceptional that you like every stage between cuts. It's the kind of haircut that still looks so good when your next appointment rolls around that you consider cancelling. That's a haircut by Edward at Savoie Salon. Edward works hard to give you what you want...or suggest a new idea if you are unsure. He will assess your face, skin, hair and attitude to magically create a look that compliments. He will work tirelessly with you to ensure that you can recreate the same fabulous look at home. In addition, Cheryl is a top notch colorist who works with Edward, making an unbeatable pair. The salon is intimate but not intimidating, everyone is friendly and the prices are reasonable. Over the years, I have gone to several highly acclaimed Dallas salons with good things to say about each. But Savoie Salon is the ONLY one about which I would take the time and trouble to write a review.

First of all, Ed gives you a speel of so much information that it overwhelms you and almost scares you off. Everything he says seems to be too perfect that it seems rehearsed and staged as if he was performing infront of a camera as the typical salesperson. He tries to push his products too much. I purchased hundreds of dollars of them. For the price and outcome, I was not impressed, I expected more. His prices are too high for what he promises.

I was nervous going into the salon because I had never been there nor had anyone I know. But I took it on faith and it was worth it. Not only is the staff friendly they actually care how you look when and after you leave. No problems with going back to help on how to manage the new haircut.

Can't say enough about this salon. It is worth every penny.

If you're looking for a great cut without the pretention of a snooty salon, don't go anywhere else. Ed is a gem and an artist. He takes time to learn about your lifestyle, face shape, personality and then the magic begins. I was looking for something classy, and versatile (I have a one year old little boy) and Ed just nailed it. It's the best cut I've ever had. It has shape and style and bounce and that's without even blow drying it. You could go to a fancier salon, pay twice as much and come out with something less attractive... buy why?

I've been wanting to change my look for quite sometime, but was always too nervous. The computer styling consultation allowed me to see my new look before I actually went through the actual motions! Cora gave me a GREAT consultation and made me feel very much at ease. I choose Edward, the master stylist, to do my cut and color. He was wonderful and I've never looked better!! A great choice for hair...thanks!
