I took my 3 yr old daughter here on Christmas Eve because the pediatricians office was closed. She had a 104 fever that remained constant no matter motrin and tylenol that was given. She was shaking so bad she could not stand or hold anything. As a parent I was very scared. They did bloodwork and xrays testing for things and couldn't find anything. They decided to do a urine test and we left our sample along with 2 others in the bathroom with no name...the nurse stated it was unneccesary and they would be right in to check it. They came back and told me my daughter had a bladder infection and gave us a script for antibiotics. I took her to the reg. doctor the day after Christmas because I knew the diagnosis was wrong. Boy was it. She had both Type A &B flu...a test they never did @ First Choice. Also I learned that the small amount of blood they need to do lab work can be done by a finger stick. This made me mad we were never offered this and it took 3 sticks and 3 people holding her down to get the blood out of her arm. Better yet we just received the bill for $906. We will never go back! $906 for a wrong diagnosis and unnecessary and traumatic tests on a 3 year old!

this is the best place ever. no wait and the staff were so committed to taking care of my family i couldn't believe it. they bill like an emergency room and that is what you get when you go there. my child was dehydrated and after one hour had fluids, labs and medication. we went home instead of to the hospital. this is the greatest idea ever.......go first choice.....

I felt pressured to pay on the spot. I was told that if I didn't pay right then that I would be charged 50% more. I paid $400 for my daughter to get 5 staples in her head. I checked with her pediatrician and found out that the most I would have had to pay at their office for the same service would have been $100! I was taken. I wouldn't have minded paying something additional for being at an Emergency facility but 300% more is ridiculous. Check pricing before you see the Doctor you may save yourself a lot of $. I wish I had!

ihave had a friend go to this place over the past holiday weekend and they had nothing but good things to say about this place. He was injusred playing in the grapvine lake on he flower mound side so they decided just to take him there instead of the hospital. They did great work on him and he is all better now!

I used Flower Mound Emergnecy care last year on a holiday when the doctor's office wasn't open and I didn't want to go to a hospital emergency room. The office was very nice, staff friendly, and I only had to wait a few minutes. They accept insurance, but they charge like an emergency room so they billed my insurance company a fortune. They are open 7 days a week from 10am - 10pm.
