Scott has moved to another location:
http://www.spasalon.com/urbangroove/ and can take appts at 512 891 7070.
I have been going to Scott for a while and he is a master with cut and color! He has great talent, even with my hair that is very difficult. Many stylists I have gone to take 3-4 times to 'get' my hair and my color. Scott was able to dial me in right away and I have been a loyal client ever since. I know he has received a great deal of quality training in many different products and methods, including those of Giacomo. Though the prices at the salon are a bit high, Scott is reasonable and always able to fit me in with my busy schedule.

I loved my experience with Scott at Giacomo's hair salon. He did a wonderful job with my cut and color and made me feel terrific. I would certainly suggest him to anyone!

I've just come from a hair appt with Scott at the Giacomo Forbes Studio and I'm so happy! He cut and colored my hair to change up my look and as soon as I came home my boyfriend was, well excited about the new look!
I booked with Scott because he was a little more affordable to me than Giacomo, but what a result. I looked up his portfolio online then called right away and spoke with Giacomo who graciously booked me... he was so pleasant!
They use Pureology and Wella, and I loved the minor amount of product he used on my hair for the completed look... even offered to mist me with a hairspray he told me he hand-carried from (and only available in) Europe that smelled wonderful too! What a massage! The man has wonderful hands... and I could listen to him for hours. He and Giacomo have quite the rapport that's fun to be a part of. I felt wonderful the whole time I was there- from the pleasant greeting, to Scott lifting my feet and placing a stool under my feet at the shampoo bowl, the wonderful shampoo, and the sincere thanks and goodbye... he even walked me outside.
Oh, and Scott does makeup too and offered to apply some lipstick that he just added to his (impressive) cosmetics kit. It was really nice and he kindly wrote it down for me so I could pick it up at the MAC counter.

This is the only place I trust to do my hair. I go in a few times a year for a perm, color, and highlights. I always come out with my hair looking like a million dollars. I always enjoy my experience there as well.

There are few stylists in the city of Austin who aspire to a stylist-to-the-stars level, and Giacomo is one of them. He did my hair only a handful of times, but when he did, it was the best cut and color I've ever had. I can't think of a time when my highlights looked so natural, or when my cut flattered my face so well. He's very intuitive and seems to know what looks best on you - and he is never wrong. I still have friends who go to Giacomo, and their hair always looks like a million bucks. I would have continued going to him indefinitely, but my financial situation changed.
PROS: The man is a genuis with hair - worth every penny.
CONS: He costs a lot of pennies. :(
