Nice rooms with new flatscreen TVs, new linens and remodeling. An easy stroll over to the riverwalk as well. Tons of bars and restaurants within blocks. The bathrooms are spaceous and shower is great.

I went to San Antonio like a lot of people do to see the Alamo. The Alamo was great and so was this hotel. They treated me like royalty. Their staff was really nice and helpful. Their prices were a little high, but really worth every penny.

A Diamond in the Rough

This one is a gem if you want to stay away from the big box cookie cutter rooms. I liked the location (across from the Court House) on the quiet end of the river. Loved my morning walks along the river towards the missions.
The hotel is small and unpretentious but you get the authentic Texas experience.....murals painted by local artists. Legend has it that Santa Anna's army camped on this site before the Battle for the Alamo.
The recently refurbished rooms are five star as is the service. The pool area is a sanctuary. I love visiting san Antonio and staying at this hotel. I always come home recharged!
Pros: Best value for money
Cons: Restaurant not open yet
