Mother's

I live in Kansas, but i'm from San Antonio so I decided i'd buy my car and sound system there. I took my car to this place to have them put one in and they did it okay the first time. It started messing up after a little bit and so the problems began. I was told i'd have to buy this piece and that piece and this subwoofer and that amplifier to help out, and little by little they kept tagging on items I needed. Soon I left there and came to Kansas where AGAIN my system needed work. I took it to another shop and they started listing off all the problems, and then they noticed my sub was also blown! They said Mother's did a terrible job and suggested I fulfill the warranty, which Mother's actually ackowledged me on. Big surprise. The catch is that I would have to DRIVE DOWN TO TEXAS FROM KANSAS SO THEY COULD SEE THE DAMAGE, RATHER THAN ME JUST TAKING PICTURES OF IT... It took six weeks for my sub to come back, but it finally did. I have once again noticed my subs have blown out because of their work, so this time i'm getting my replacement sub and taking it to another shop up here that I heard does excellent work. Do not waste your time or hard earned money at an establishment like this one. They're trash, the customer service is questionable at best, and their staff is ill-knowledged. AND it's pretty shady and low-down of them to print their own reviews making them look good. Don't fall for it America, it's just another lowlife bum trying to make a living off of other people who want aftermarket work done to their vehicles.... Just a terrible place altogether.

Look at the last reviews. ALL of them have the same date. That's pretty shady Mother's Window Tint. But what can you expect from San Antonio businesses?

I went into a mother's store and came in to buy a car alarm for my 06' Escalde. I was really happy with the alarm. Several days later I returned and was ready to add an amp and subs to my SUV. I saw the prices on all the merchandise and had calculated my total to about $2700+. After talking to the salesperson we decided that we were going to go ahead and do the work. As we were talking the person kept insisting that i would get a better price. I was rather skeptical; when he calculated my totals he just ran the numbers and ended up giving it to me for $2000....flat...after taxes. So in just by talking with him i saved more than $800!!! I've been doing business with them ever since.

i recently had my windows tinted on my new lancer at the fredricksburg rd. location and i am very satisfied with the workmanship and customer service i recieved there. i would strongly urge people to go there first when looking for great price and great work on window tint.

I took my 2009 Nissan 350Z to the San Pedro location and Angel helped me pick the right 3M tint and gave me a great price too. I left my car there while I went to lunch and when i got back the car was all done and it looked great! Thanks guys....

I went to Mother's and had work done on my 2003 Tahoe, Alarm and Stereo system. Everything was as promised, alarm works great and the stero system is AWESOME. All of the employees were very professional and treated your like you were family.

My ex-boyfriend bought me an alarm but before we broke up and he kept one of the remotes. I didn't realize he also made a key for my car. So one morning I came out and he had moved my car and left a nasty note in it for me. I called the police who said they could make a report but couldn't arrest him unless they caught him in the car. I went back to Mother's and explained it to them and they took out the old alarm and put in a new one and gave me two new remotes. They set the sensativity up higher and told me to come back in a few months and they could lower it. How much did they charge me? Nada. Free. My car is still parked outside my apartment but at least I know my ex can't do that again. Thanks Mothers Window Tinting.

I shopped around and bought a friends stero before he went to colege. Nobody would install it fo me at any of the places I went so I tried it myself and screwed it up. I went to Mother's and the guy ther Angel took care of me like I had spent a million bucks with them. They fixed my screw ups and installed everything professionally and charged me what I thought was a pretty good price I was hoping to get off a little less but they included all the installation fuses and relays I need at no extra charge.

I went to this company because my neighbor, co-worker and my WIFE all went there first. I never buy something unless I know someone who has been there because too many small businesses do not know what they are doing. This company the manager told me is 25 years old with the same owner and he showed me the written warranties and I could see the store ploicies on the wall as well. My alarm was installed and worked great then and still works great now two yeas later. I went back recently because I thought it might need service but it was my bttery in my remote getting weak. They GAVE me a new battery because it was the holidays and asked me to tell someone so I am. Go shop there you will not be disappointed.

Mothers will install alarm for you but they will not tell you that it is non-refundable if something goes wrong and if you have a problem with the alarm all they can do is tweak it. They have no 30 day guarantee or 30 day return if not satisfied. They practice very deceptive sales practices by not telling you that there is absolute no returns or refunds. The only way you find this out is by the final pickup receipt. Once alarm is installed in vehicle there is no choice but to keep it. I was told they would remove alarm and i could SELL it myself to get my money back. If I wasnt satisfied with alarm myself why would I sell it?. That would be me doing the same thing to someone else. I have had so many problems with alarm installed by them it is annoying and disappointing. I will not go back to have anything done by them and would not Recommend them to anyone. LOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR YOUR VEHICLE TINTING AND ALARMING.

I had an auto alarm system installed in my home town a couple of years ago. When my remote control went bad i didn't know what to do. I went to several places and it seemed like no one was willing to help me. I finally called the Mother's on San Pedro and the salesman told me just to stop on by and he would look at it and help me figure out my problem. Turns out my control had just needed to be re-programmed. He could have told me that there was nothing he could do and try to sell me a new alarm but he was honest and he even gave me a great deal on my window tinting. Thanks Guys!

Purchased a Pioneer head unit + 4 speakers and their best alarm, Code-Alarm CA650 for a brand new 2006 Toyota Tundra I bought not even a month before. Going back for the 5th time to get the alarm hopefully finally fixed and the tint replaced - giving up on everything else, speakers were blown within the first day, shotty craftsmanship - installed alarm module obstructs use of brake still, even the tint needs replaced now because of all the work they had to do _after_ the tint was originally installed (the first time I bought everything) and that they tinted over stickers instead of removing them. Over all experience is/was that the employees did not want to be there nor do the work, they won't give all the manuals to everything which forces me to go back to them for anything - namely reprogramming the alarm if need be, and they really seem to care less if I'm satisfied what so ever. The new sound system sounds like crap even compared to the factory unit, I will be replacing all of this stuff in the months to come and ***NOT*** with Mothers. Also, they conveniently have it stated on the receipt that once something is sold - it's yours, no refunds or anything. I wanted everything uninstalled the 3rd trip back.

If you want some descent deals on stuff - this is the place for it, although DO NOT expect any kind of customer service and don't expect quality workmanship, let alone pride in the work.

Had a sound system installed in my vehicle with a sub, amp and a couple of extra speakers. The work was done professionally - looks good. Had one problem with the sub which was fixed quickly and with no issues. Mother's has good professional installers and sales staff.
