Ratings_icons Dr. Reeves is the BEST!!!

Brittany B.

I used Dr. Caren Reeves for the first time when I found out I was pregnant since my DR at the time wasn't delivering babies anymore. I felt so great with our first meeting with Dr. Reeves. She is amazing. She is such a wonderful person and I met a couple of the other DR's in the CfW office and I was dead set on a certain one NOT delivering my baby. Dr. Reeves was there when my son was born and was the best Dr. She is wonderful and I would recommend her to everyone!!

Ratings_icons Absolutely wonderful!

I have never had issues with anybody there. I have always received wonderful customer service from everyone in the office. Dr. Fairchild is amazingly kind. I've had a bad experience in another gyno, but always felt comfortable with her. I recently had issues with a bill, I called them and they were great. They were calm and explained everything.

Ratings_icons An overall wonderful birth!

Allison W.

I admit it can be a little difficult scheduling a timely appointment so I recommend calling ASAP. However, from day one to the big day I had nothing but pleasant experiences. Dr. Finger was very caring, informative, and enthusiastic throughout my visits. I had all the advice and direction I needed in order to have a safe, stress-free pregnancy. Polly Bennett delivered my daughter October 2007. I allowed a student and two nurses along with Polly to assist with my birth. I had the most phenomenal anesthesiologist! I believe his name was Dr. Amid Hussein but I can't quite remember. My epidural fears were immediately laid to rest after my experience with him. He is a very talented man. Polly was efficient, aware, and all about business. I had loving nurses who were attentive and took care of all of my needs. My daughter was born after 15 minutes of pushing and with the help of an incredible group of people. Thank you all so much for everything!

Ratings_icons WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE W/HOLLY

Leisha T.

Holly Groom delivered my baby. She was not my normal midwife, but I delivered in the middle of the night and she was on-call. Now, I have had 3 babies, and the first two births were with another doctor, and they had me terrifiied of the 3rd birth! But with Caring for Women, things could not have gone better. They were so caring, spent time with me, genuinely listened to me the whole 9 months. Holly was so easy going and I trusted her completely. It was a wonderful, wonderful experience. I would highly reccomend them to anyone. I wish I had known about them sooner!

Ratings_icons Holly, where are you?

Paul L.

This review is related to last year. I would have posted it sooner if I had known about this site...

To use baseball terminology, everything about Caring for Women was great until the "bottom of the ninth". That was when they struck out with the bases loaded.

On July 19, 2006, my wife's water broke at 10:30 PM and we called the midwife on duty (Polly Bennett) who instructed us to go directly to Denton Regional Medical and that Holly Groom our midwife would be on her way to DRMC soon. We did as instructed and for the next 7 hours our midwife Holly Groom was a no-show. The alternate on-duty midwife Polly was also a no-show. In fact, we were told by DRMC staff that there wasn't a doctor available on-site to deliver our daughter. After a final hour of anxiety and hell from 4:00 AM to 5:00 AM, with my wife fully dilated at 10 cm and me telling her with every contraction to STOP PUSHING!!!, Holly Groom finally showed up around 5:15 AM on July 20 and our baby practically delivered herself.

Thank goodness there were no major complications (we have happy and healthy 14 month old daughter), although my wife suffered needlessly because of tissue tearing that probably would not have taken place if the pre-delivery vaginal massage promoted by Holly had been given.

BTW, I wrote a very detailed letter to Caring for Women outlining all of the facts and expected a sit-down discussion with management to address the sorry chain of events that lead to this extremely stressful situation. The discussion never happened and we never received a response to the questions asked in my letter. The lack of response speaks volumes...

I do not recommend Caring for Women. We are using a different OB/GYN practice in Denton for our second child, due in the spring of 2008.

Ratings_icons Not so great...

I had my first daughter at Caring for Women and did not have a pleasant experience. The staff was alright but my doctor was horrible. I felt like I was being more of a burden than a patient. The office is too busy and they are more worried about getting you in and out of there than giving quality patient care. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking to have a pleasant pregnancy.

Ratings_icons Could Not Have Asked For a Better Friend!

Anna B.

I had Polly Bennett, the midwife of the century when I was pregnant with my 1st & 2nd child. She was nothing but pleasant and caring every time I came in for a visit. Her staff was wonderful and the office always felt like home. Polly was more then my midwife, she was my friend and I could talk with her about any concern with my pregnancy or what was going on at home. With Polly as my midwife I feel like I had two of the healthiest and joyful pregnancies a women could have. I would bend over backwards for this women and I would absolutely recommend her to anyone. And I have..........

Ratings_icons Recommend Dr. Finger's Office

Belinda B.

I met Dr. Finger four years ago when she was in the office with Dr. Dulemba. She ended up delivering my daughter. I wouldn't have had it any other way. I'm now getting ready to have my second baby and Dr. Finger and her staff once again is wonderful. I would recommend her to anyone.

Ratings_icons dr. laura finger caused me to have hysterectomy!

shena f.

Before the birth of my daughter Dr. finger "removed" my cerclage, only to find out 8 months later she did not remove the whole cerclage. by the time it was discovered it had literly TORN MY CERVIX TO PIECES and my cervix had to be removed. ONE INCH of cerclag she left in me. I would not recommend her to my worst enemy.

P.S
I was only 22 when Dr. Finger's mistake caused to never have another child. Please do not use her as you'r O.B.

Ratings_icons My midwife was outstanding

Jamie J.

Holli Groom was my midwife when I was pregnant with my daughter. She was much more than my midwife, she was my friend. She made me feel comfortable and answered all my questions perfectly. I highly recommend Holli Groom CNM. She is truly an amazing person. I am very sad that she can't be my midwife anymore because I now live in Houston. If you want to form a close relationship with your caregiver, she is the one for you.

PROS: Everyone there was very friendly

Ratings_icons Dr. Laura Finger is the best

Susan D. | insider Insider | Rank: 26,551

I started going to Dr. Finger when I became pregnant with my first child. I had a difficult pregnancy and have nothing but wonderful things to say about Dr. FInger and her staff.

Everyone in the office became more of a friend to me. I was required to have weekly office visits and was treated with nothing but respect and kindness.

From the receptionist to the nurse, the sonographer and the Dr-everyone is top notch and I cannot wait to have my second child under the care of Dr. FInger and her staff.

I highly recommend this office to anyone looking to be cared for!
