This company has had possession of the vehicle on three separate occasions totaling approximately four months. On one occasion they attempted to install inferior equipment in the form of a fender well liner. They have also admittedly caused additional damage to the vehicle on each occasion by damaging the passenger side front fender and then repairing it, scratching the rear deck lid and repairing it, and damaging the driver's automatic seat mechanism. The aforementioned issues had no relevance to the initial reason for the vehicle needing repair. With reference to the seat mechanism, they attempted to deliver the car without informing me.

The vehicle also had installed in it, a custom light assembly that was enclosed in the headlights. These custom assemblies were professionally installed and working perfectly prior to, and while in their possession. Longhorn Collision delivered the car to South Point Dodge in an attempt to repair electrical issues they could not. As a result, the custom light assembly had apparently been damaged. The vehicle was then delivered by Longhorn to another subcontractor identified as Beck Automotive Electric. Martin at this facility stated that after speaking with the manufacturer of the parts in question, it is common for them to just go bad after a while. These lights were not turned on or engaged prior to the car being delivered to Longhorn or their subcontractors. Did they just magically come on and then because of normal wear refuse to turn off? I think not! You expect me to believe that?

While at South Point Dodge a polished cover to the fuse box was damaged and scratched. Larry at Longhorn offered to have the cover delivered to the manufacturer and repaired to my satisfaction. I agreed. Then without prior knowledge and informing me, Larry took it upon himself to send the cover to a different subcontractor.

In my humble opinion, Longhorn Collision and it's subcontractors have been extremely derelict in their respective duties. They have caused additional damage to my vehicle that in it's totality, reduces the vehicle's value. They have also intentionally attempted to mislead and defraud me.

The owner of Longhorn Collision, Greg Burnette and manager Larry have admitted error on their respective parts and their subcontractors several times. They have offered little or no compensation in return. Greg Burnette only recently purchased Longhorn Collision and has little or no experience in how to run it. His experience is in the computer field and with Dell computers. He has no idea how to fix or repair vehicles or what it takes to properly repair them.

I am in sales and I usually pack any given sales trip with as many calls as I can, thus I don't allow for incidental happenings which can set me back. Larry was the only person who responded to my call at 7:15am. He and his staff scrambled to get all of the necessary parts to repair my window and track which was damaged in the break-in. Larry and his staff were most courteous and even led me to a tinter so I could also get that window tinted before I left Austin. In all, I was only ""down"" a few hours, then back on the road to complete my week. I've dealt with many shops in this industry in various towns, and frankly this is the only shop that I feel truly understands customer service. Kudos to Longhorn Collision Center, the exception!! I'd recommend them to anyone in need of auto body repair.

A week ago, my stupid apartment gate shut on me and knocked off my passenger side mirror. I was freaking out because I have work, organizations, and other responsibilities that all involve using my car. My mom called around and found the best quote in Austin for a fixed mirror, and she set me up with Longhorn Collision. They literally ordered my part the day my mom called, and I was ready to come in right after they painted the mirror to the color of my car (they didn't even need to see my car, they just did everything and had it all ready to put on)!!
I got my mirror fixed for $130 flat, which is good considering I could have bought one online for about $50-70, then would have to wait a week for it to ship, then would have to figure out how to put it on myself.
I do NOT have the time or patience for that, especially with my busy schedule. Although $130 is a good chunk of change to a college student, it's definitely manageable and a good price for the quality, quickness, and service you get.

All of that was BEFORE I got there. & it just got GREATER when I arrived. I'll be honest- when you first pull in, it kind of looks sketchy. It's super close to campus, on S. Lamar, and you can't miss the big LONGHORN COLLISION sign on the building. It's no fancy dealership, and the outside isn't the most kept looking. BUT PLEASE DO NOT BE TURNED OFF BY THIS! As soon as you walk into the office, you'll realize that this is quality service you're getting. The couches are clean and chic, the space is very tidy, and its definitely an enjoyable place to wait. Also, I saw some super nice cars there- BMWs, Mercedes Benz's. If those luxury car owners can trust those cars there, I'm pretty sure my little Nissan Sentra will be fine there too.

As soon as I arrived, Larry came to my car with a bright smile and a helpful attitude. He kept apologizing for the delay and felt sorry that I had to wait...but I didn't mind AT ALL (mostly because I only waited for literally 3 minutes until they started fixing my car). He was so thoughtful, told me to pull up into the shade, then invited me to wait in the office. There, Bo came and told me that he'd be putting the mirror on my car and it wouldn't take more than 20 minutes.
IT WAS QUICKER THAN AN OIL CHANGE! I brought study materials and even nail polish because I thought it would take a while. I painted two nails, and they told me it was ready. They asked me if I wanted to see the car before paying, because that's their policy- you don't pay until you see it and are satisfied with it. But I was so happy with them already I just paid first and said I'd take a look at it on my way out. Of course, it was perfect. The mirror paint matched perfectly, and it was just like new.

Larry and Bo (and also another man I briefly spoke to to ask for directions to the office) were cheerful in such a genuine way. The kind of way that makes it seem like they love their job and genuinely want to make your experience the best it can be while you're there. THAT is such a rare thing to find nowadays, and I applaud them for that. They make you feel special and welcome without overdoing it or being fake. I honestly couldn't be happier or ask for more from my experience there.

So, in conclusion: if you want a modestly priced, QUALITY, quick, CUSTOMER SERVICE oriented experience, come here.

I was paying out of pocket for the repairs so they were very sensitive to that and did a bang up, great looking job for a fair price. Not cheap; just fair. And the paint looks fantastic! VERY similar issue to the story below. Had repairs done here, also through State Farm's ""select service"" program. The car didn't drive well from the day I picked it up so I went immediately to another shop who said that Longhorn had, for the most part, done the work they claimed to have done, but completely missed a HUGE issue with the sub-frame, which had been smashed in as a result of the impact during my wreck. The total job was over $4500 and part of that was a charge ($79.95) for an alignment. The new shop verified my car would have never been able to pass an alignment check with the tire being recessed due to the smashed frame. So was the alignment done and fudged, or was it never done in the first place but charged anyway?

I took the car back to Longhorn the next day to get them to fix the frame, which Larry, without question, agreed to do after I showed him the picture I had taken. I picked up the car later that day thinking it was fine. After a month or so I started getting a really bad vibration (part of the ""select service"" program is that repairs are supposed to be guaranteed for the life of the car). I took the car in for an assessment, but I don't make a ton of money so I wasn't able to fix the car immediately so I kept driving on it with the vibration while I tried to gather the funds. More and more issues came out and finally I took it to a shop who said that the front left side of the car (exactly where my impact was) had multiple issues that were very obviously impact related. Only thing about that is I had no wrecks since the original one months before, and no one had worked on that side of the car since Longhorn had. I called State Farm back to re-open the claim and get these issues fixed. The adjusters claimed that I had ""new"" damage and Larry fixed the car as he should have, even after I showed them the picture of my frame taken the day I picked the car up months before. My picture matched exactly what the car looks like now, down to the scratches, cracks, and bends on the part in question. The response was, ""Well, I don't know what you hit from the time you left the shop to when you got to the new one."" Really?? REALLY??? My driving record is flawless and even the wreck that caused the damage was a blown tire that caused me to slam the jersey wall, so THAT wasn't even my fault. Yet they have the nerve to imply that I can't drive my car from shop to shop without getting in a wreck of some sort? STAY AWAY and save yourself the headache!

Terrible place. Supposed to be a State Farm preferred vendor. Completely ripped me and State Farm off using damaged parts and not even completing the repairs. Drove away from the shop with terrible vibration, another shop then verified that repairs had not even been done. After bringing the car back to Larry, the owner, on State Farms request, he kept the car for a day and did nothing, verified by a picture of the before and after. I had a great experience with them. My brother got in a wreak with my car, urg, so I went around to a couple of place to get estimates and settle with Longhorn collision. First off when I got there Larry explained what repairs need to be done and didn't cut corners on the hood but said the bumped did not need to be replaced as where the other places said it did. Estimate was reasonable and he even gave us a discount. Super nice guy. He even came in on his day off so I could pickup my car. They did a great job on the hood and light and even repaired my bumper from a previous incident at no charge. To say the least I was very pleased with Longhorn Collision Center. Thanks, Larry..\r

First off, any automotive shop that willingly invites me back into the shop to show me whats wrong with my car is okay by me. I've had to many shops try to pull the wool over my eyes and over charge for things I don't need. You will not run into that with these guys. They are very genuine and upfront about the work they do. Also, they do their best to work with your insurance company to get you the best parts. I've used them twice now (hopefully I won't have a need to again) and have been very satisfied both times.

This company has had possession of the vehicle on three separate occasions totaling approximately four months. On one occasion they attempted to install inferior equipment in the form of a fender well liner. They have also admittedly caused additional damage to the vehicle on each occasion by damaging the passenger side front fender and then repairing it, scratching the rear deck lid and repairing it, and damaging the driver's automatic seat mechanism. The aforementioned issues had no relevance to the initial reason for the vehicle needing repair. With reference to the seat mechanism, they attempted to deliver the car without informing me. \r

The vehicle also had installed in it, a custom light assembly that was enclosed in the headlights. These custom assemblies were professionally installed and working perfectly prior to, and while in their possession. Longhorn Collision delivered the car to South Point Dodge in an attempt to repair electrical issues they could not. As a result, the custom light assembly had apparently been damaged. The vehicle was then delivered by Longhorn to another subcontractor identified as Beck Automotive Electric. Martin at this facility stated that after speaking with the manufacturer of the parts in question, it is common for them to just go bad after a while. These lights were not turned on or engaged prior to the car being delivered to Longhorn or their subcontractors. Did they just magically come on and then because of normal wear refuse to turn off? I think not! You expect me to believe that? \r

While at South Point Dodge a polished cover to the fuse box was damaged and scratched. Larry at Longhorn offered to have the cover delivered to the manufacturer and repaired to my satisfaction. I agreed. Then without prior knowledge and informing me, Larry took it upon himself to send the cover to a different subcontractor. \r

In my humble opinion, Longhorn Collision and it's subcontractors have been extremely derelict in their respective duties. They have caused additional damage to my vehicle that in it's totality, reduces the vehicle's value. They have also intentionally attempted to mislead and defraud me. \r

The owner of Longhorn Collision, Greg Burnette and manager Larry have admitted error on their respective parts and their subcontractors several times. They have offered little or no compensation in return. Greg Burnette only recently purchased Longhorn Collision and has little or no experience in how to run it. His experience is in the computer field and with Dell computers. He has no idea how to fix or repair vehicles or what it takes to properly repair them.

Great experience! They repaired my daughters' Honda and it looks better than new. Larry impressed me with his customer service, always keeping in the loop as to the status of the repairs, and the repair itself is of the highest quality. These folks really know what they're doing.

These guys aren't super stellar as denoted by many reviews but they aren't awful either. The people are very friendly. I've taken my car here twice for insurance repairs. The first one was massive hail damage. They returned it with some minor remaining hail damage. We had also agreed they would dry out the inside and get it cleaned because the car had been filled with hail and thus stunk. It returned with a similar stench and the inside of the trunk (that I specifically requested be dried immediately) was still damp after the 6 weeks or so they had my car. Aside from this they were incredibly easy to deal with.

I brought my car in for damages to the rear bumper and trunk. Not a minor fender bender, but not a total loss. Regardless, I drove it in with a perfectly working exhaust, fully charged battery, and an intact sirius antenna. Before I brought it in, the adjuster from the other driver's insurance company inspected the car (and I was there during the inspection). There was no damage to the exhaust, and the car started on a dime, *everytime* and still drove/ran like it did before. Oh yeah, and the radio worked fine too.\r

I brought the car to Longhorn - they quoted me seven days and had it ""completed"" in six. I had a rental car for that time, paid for by the insurance. Longhorn called to say the car was ready, and that I could return the rental. I returned the rental, picked the car up, and they gave me back a car with a broken exhaust, a dead battery, and a ripped out sirius antenna.\r

I ended up having the rental for another 3 days. The other driver's insurance company, rightfully, would not pay for the rental because the damage claim was closed out when the car was picked up. They asserted that Longhorn was responsible for the additional rental charges, due to Longhorn's poor workmanship. Longhorn called the insurance company, and tried to get them to pay for my rental (""as a favor to me"" -gee thanks) The insurance company (rightfully) wouldn't budge, and then Enterprise tried to bill Longhorn the $85 for the extra 3 days. LONGHORN REFUSED TO PAY. This left me as the final person to secure payment of the vehicle and they charged my credit card the $85. Longhorn stuck me with 3 extra days of inconvenience, plus an $85 rental bill for THEIR shoddy workmanship.\r

Longhorn worked well with my insurance company. My repairs to longer then expected, so I started to worry but no need to. There was some hidden damaged but they got right on it.My rental car was handled and the repair delay wasn't a issue at all.
