Granberry Hills

Granberry Hills made my wedding experience much easier with their setup and coordination, the evening went beautifully. I would definitely recommend Granberry Hills to brides-to-be!

My husband Jordan and I would like to thank you for making our wedding day so special. We first saw Granberry Hills in an issue of the Wedding Guide. After viewing the site in December, we both decided that it was the place where we wanted to get married. The entire staff of Granberry Hills is extremely professional. Every time I called with a question, I was satisfied with the answer. As the wedding date approached, Rebecca (Granberry Coordinator) was absolutely wonderful. She contacted the caterer, DJ, bartender, and the photographer to make sure that everything was set up and ready to go. I felt very calm because I knew that she was there. We have received many compliments from our guests about the beauty of Granberry Hills. Words cannot express how grateful Jordan and I are to everyone at Granberry Hills. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for making our wedding so magical.

I would like to thank Teresa and Mercedes for pulling off the best wedding ever! they are very professional, detailed oriented and wonderful to be around you can see they enjoy their jobs by the energy and the attention to detail.Granberry Hills is as beautiful as can be but the great staff puts the finishing touches on to make a Brides day very memorable.I can never express my gratitude for making my daughter feel like the princess she is!Thank you very much and we look forward to our youngest daughters wedding I am sure we will see you all again.Again thank you Teresa and Mercedes for a wonderful day.Sincerely,Angela Serrano

I want to say what a wonderful job the staff of Granberry did to make my daughter's wedding such a wonderfully happy occasion. There were many compliments directed to the facility as well as the caterers. Kosha and Sandrine were wonderful! I couldn't have asked for better coordinator's for my girl!

It's been almost over a year since our wedding, and we are still getting compliments! Granberry Hills is the complete package to fulfill all your wedding day dreams! Between the beautiful location and the customer service, there were absolutely no doubts about having my wedding at this facility.

The setting at Granberry Hills can only be described as gorgeous! The attention to detail is evident and everywhere you look. It's the little things that add up and set Granberry head and shoulders above the rest.

Granberry isn't just about a beautiful setting. The Granberry staff excels at providing first class wedding services. The staff's professionalism is beyond compare. Our perfect wedding could not have happened had it not been for their talents, skills, and helping hands. It's so easy to get lost in the chaos of planning a wedding, but the staff was always ready to provide their extensive knowledge and advice.

We could not have asked for a more beautiful and perfect wedding. We will always remember how they helped make our wedding so special, so beautiful, so classy, and such a moment in time to remember always. We will be singing your praises to every listening Bride for years to come.

Beautiful site, but first you have to pass the eyesore scenery up the unpaved, rough road. Management is poorly organized and needs much improvement. Booked in fall and assured then and again in January and again in May that road would be paved by summer, but it was not. It was worse by then than before. Construction was not completed on new site so this was an eyesore too. Coordinator had difficulty remembering specifics even when given detailed list. I had to keep reiterating wishes because tasks were passed from one person to another and not explained between staff members. Coordinator was not informative or very personable and gave incorrect information in two-thirds of the instances. This did not come to light until two weeks before the wedding. When we confronted the owner, Robert Lowman, he was not receptive or very accommodating. He would not honor his word or the word of his coordinator. Make sure every little detail is in writing beforehand because this business is not good for their word alone and almost unyielding on the slightest change. Robert Bob has final say to his discretion no matter what you may be told by staff. He will tell you "read the contract", which has some gray areas and I found it to be open to interpretation and ambiguous. In which case, you will be guaranteed it is in Bob's favor no matter what. Take literally portion of contract if something is important to you get it in writing: and even then there is no guarantee. You may have an uphill battle. He pretends to care about your stress level but only to substantially increase it. I found him to be an arrogant, condescending, chauvinist. They indicate they will work with you but strongly insist on their way. Dealt with several people and each one not informed of what the plans were so had to reiterate each time and hope something wasnt missed. The ceremony music was not cued correctly, could barely be heard and the sound system, or lack of quality sound system, was very evident. No one seemed to be around that knows anything about working it. Site is nice but in flight plan of Randolph AFB. There is a total lack of good, concise communication between staff and with customer and there are added charges left and right for items that are readily available at the site. I do not recommend this place due to the experience we had and the lack of knowledge of some of the coordinators and the total lack of Bob's ability to be a people person.

PROS: Able to hold ceremony and reception at one location
CONS: Don't get me started!!

When I booked this place for my wedding back in February of 2003, I thought the construction would be done on the main building, which is what drew me to Granberry in the first place. However after waiting 6 months and seeing no construction go up (when it was supposed to be complete in July of 2003), I got nervous and starting looking at other reception places. the owner swore that he would have the place complete by my wedding day, June of 2004, almost a full year after when it was supposed to be constructed. However, when it got to be October and still nothing had been done, I pulled out. The owner said again it would be done, but he reluctantly gave me back my deposit. I ended up booking at another venue, which turned out beautiful. Its now been fifteen months since my wedding day and the place still not constructed. If the owner had been honest with me, it would have been fine, but I would have hated to have waited until my wedding day to find out it wasn't built.

PROS: Pretty greenery
CONS: noncommital staff
