Celebration Covenant Church Advancing the Kingdom of God!
by D S.
If you are looking for a church where you can grow in your relationship with the Lord - this is it! In the many years I have been a Christian, I have grown MORE in the last 7 years than the total of 27 preceding years! I have an intimacy with Christ that I never knew was possible. The teaching is fantastic. The Bible is taught in a way that it is relevant to today.
When a church is the 61st fastest growing church in the US, something is going right!
Our purpose is "Loving, Learning, & Leading". Our vision is " To establish a love-based leadership culture where people of all ages, ethnicities and backgrounds can be developed to become Christ Followers and deployed to lead in all walks of life with a biblical world view."
Come and learn to be the BEST in your personal life, your family life, and in the marketplace!
If this is the house of worship that you are looking for....HURRY, we have room for you! Regardless of who you are, what walk of life you may be from, what has gone on in your past or happening in your current life - YOU WILL NOT BE JUDGED!
May God Bless All who read this!
p.s. If you come and see a lot of "beautiful" people there, it's probably because you are seeing Jesus in them, and continually doing a work in them! Now that is BEAUTY!

We may have found our home
by Jenny J.
My husband and I have been attending CCC for a month and a half now. We had been going to Prestonwood and after dealing with the "God Show" for a couple years decided we needed to move on. After visiting many different churches over the span of a year, a co-worker of my husband recommended CCC. After our first Sunday, we were a little intimidated by all the very well built people. A lady spotted us and immediately told us about the upcoming men's conference and when we told her that we literally had $18 in our account, she said no worries, they'd take care of the $25 cost. I asked about the body-building members, and she said that the pastor was a member (may have founded, I'm not sure) of Strike Force many years ago and the congregation has taken an initiative to honor the Lord by taking care of their bodies and that's why there are several very ripped members there.
In any case, we've been back again and again and just this evening I was listening enrapt to Pastor Keith's message just in tears. His messages never fail to make me feel like I'm not just some tainted person like Prestonwood did, but rather makes clear that we've all sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God, but that's why God giving His only Son for us is so incredible. He doesn't treat his wife as an ornament, but rather a part of him as Eve was to Adam.
As for the whole money thing, the first 10% tithe is standard liturgy for any church. What makes this church different is they make clear that this tithe is to be made GLADLY and if you do not give with 100% joy in your heart to be doing God's will, then they don't want it. If you disagree that tithing joyfully is God's will, you'll have to take that one up with God, because it's pretty clearly taken verbatim from the bible.
CCC's multimedia is impressive, but from what I've been told, everything, including all decorations at the church, are done by various ministries of the church by volunteers. The sound, lights, girders, videos, decorations, everything, is volunteer. I think that's truly what being a God-centered church is all about. After over a year of searching, we may have finally found our church home.

Celebration Covenant Not for ME
by Jane D.
I have gone a few times. I like the fact that they work with the children on most of the hymnal type songs. I like the music and the dress code is pretty relaxed. However if the appeal of this place draws people into hearing about the lord and that is what works for them to getting to know Christ then so be it. I am not in any place to judge only GOD is. This place is not for everyone including me. My one BIG turn off is that after all is said in done how many times do you ever hear this man talk about the the one thing that matters most? I always believed and read that the only way to heaven was through Christ Jesus. I never heard one time out of the probably 5 times I went an open invitation for someone to talk about what it means to follow Jesus Christ and to have the opportunity to accept him as their lord and savor. For without that you have nothing!

CCC
by Tina R.
Great for young, single people who want to see and be seen. Great music and pretty people. Very motivating sermons from an entertaining pastor. Not baby-friendly if you want to take your baby into the service with you; you'll be seated at the back like a leper, and if baby utters a peep, you'll immediately be escorted out. Apparently babies take the "cool factor" down a notch.

CCC is not perfect, but don't lie about it!
by M B.
Ed E: You're intimidated by Pastor Keith's size and by the "hot" ladies in the coffee shop? You poor little insecure man. So, in your vision of the perfect church, no one is allowed to look good or work out and take care of their body?
Anonymous P: You are a liar. Straight up. I attended CCC for years and nothing like what you described has ever happened there.
Pastor Keith has NEVER asked everyone for a minimum of $10,000. That's idiocy. There are certain levels in the building campaigns that will get your name etched in the stone, or a dedication plaque in the chapel, etc...and $10K is one of those levels...but that's just not the point. There is no minimum. Certainly he knows that everyone cannot contribute $10K. During the building campaign Sundays (once per quarter), he explains that very clearly. For you to think otherwise just shows that you have the IQ of a rock.
You state that someone on the usher/greeter team told you that Pastor Keith has a saying: "If you're not willing to give your money to the Lord's cause...we need your seat." That is either A) an outright lie or B) a remark taken seriously out of context. I suspect A). I'll tell you that Pastor Keith does indeed have a saying (well...lots of them, actually), but try this one -- I've heard it most often when he speaks about people like you: "God doesn't need your money, and neither do we."
The membership process is nothing like the twisted description you've given it. As well, no one has ever asked my income bracket. That's not part of the process.
Regarding cars, Pastor Keith has a number of nice cars. I've seen him give them away. I've also seen individuals or groups of individuals give him a car or a motorcycle. Pastor Keith has a nice income...but that comes from his other work as a corporate coach and public speaker. He also emcee's and speaks at the Get Motivated events nationwide, and has several other streams of income, none of which are church related.
Anyway...I am probably a bit ruder than most Christians. God has work left to do in me. But here's the deal...if CCC isn't right for you, or if you freak out about money because you don't have any and/or you can't put it in a proper perspective, don't leave a bunch of lies on some review board. If you have to leave a negative review, then at least just leave an honest one (you are convinced that church money is better spent on starving pygmies in New Guinea than on technology in the lobby or on a new building...but you didn't take time to investigate what mission support is being done by the church or what their mission philosophy is). Then, when you are finished ranting, move on and find what works for you.
Oh, by the way, back to Ed E: The coffee/snack bar items are not priced...they cost only what you wish to pay for them. Then, 100% of the "take" goes to support missions. Gazing at the women is free. Well...unless you feel convicted about that sort of thing. Perv.
Disgusted by you,
M.

Celebration Covenant Church is what you desire it to be...
by Julie P.
Someone else wrote...
"Seems to always be about money and more money"
Whoever wrote this particular comment wrote the exact same thing about Covenant Church so it would be my gut to say this person has an issue with someone at both of these churches or was offended by something within the person's own self.
Per Julie Powell and my comment/opinion...
My recommendation is that you pray to God and ask him to guide you to the place he would have you be filled in his spirit.
No one but God knows what you need from him except him, you then learn and sometimes you have to move on to grow but it doesn't mean it is a bad place it was where God would have you to be at that time for however long he would have you be there. So when it is time to move on or not attend again go with a gracious loving heart knowing you grew (hopefully) and met loving people (at least one or two if you opened up your heart and allowed them into "your world" & find at least one positive thing to take with you instead of all the negativity to unload to others who may need this particular place.
I am thankful that God wants us to have nice things when we do the right thing and share positive in this crazy chaotic world. I don't have money yet but I am not offended by what others have I just know that I would rather be surrounded by successful Godly people in a church then how I grew up with people believing it was bad to be a success ~ believing God didn't want us to be successful. Love what God has blessed you with, be humble, and share with others all that God has shared.
Judging is wrong but we all sin lets just try to be a little less critical and look within ourselves because when you are critical of others it is because you see those negativities within yourself.
Church is like places to eat
You can choose one place over another to spend your money and be fed but lets face it nothing is for free except God's Unconditional Love and the gift he gave you to give to others
Nothing or No ONE is PERFECT all we can do is learn from our mistakes, grow from them and live the best life looking for the positive in all and in all situations.

A Leaders Church!!!
by Jason R.
I love how Celebration Covenant Church in Frisco is so leadership minded..... It is constantly pressing me to be better tomorrow than I was today... I love that leader principle that this church stands on because the bible states that once we accept Christ we are to be NEW creations... that means different than we were before we found God.... I am 26 years old and I have found it true to me that everyone disappoints you at some point in your life and that I have done the same... but I love that this church accepts me in my faults and out of love, offers guidance on how to turn every situation over to God so He can help me learn from the situation and become better from it. CCC also encourages me by letting me know that I am important to God and CAN make a difference in this world no matter how small I view myself. It really challenges my thought processes.... The bible states that God's ways are higher than our ways, His thoughts, higher than our thoughts, (Isaiah 55:9) and He knows the plans He has for us, plans to prosper and not harm us, plans to give us a hope and a future. (jeremiah 29:11)... I say that to say this,... this church is helping me to figure out how to attain the promises of God... Romans 12:2 says,.. allow God to transform you by changing the way you think (or also stated as-by the renewing of your mind) and I have found that the only way to attain this renewing/transformation is through sound biblical teaching and leadership.... CCC is a leadership culture so if you are a leader, or aspire to be one, either in your school, business, at home, or where ever, then this very well could be the place for you... but be ware... it's not for everyone because not everyone is willing to be pushed to the max of change so we can be what God has called us to be.... which is in my message earlier.... to become a NEW creations.... out with the old way of thinking, being, and doing,... to become better tomorrow than we were today... Thank you God for CCC and thank you all the people of CCC for being transparent and real!!!!

glorifying God
by jillian w.
I think this is sad how judgemental you all are. If you disliked this church no need to bash it. Simply state this church was not for you. I have been going to this church for a year and a half, and not once have I heard my pastor say that our church needs the money. You should want to give to God out of your heart, and it should be an honor to give to Him. If you feel it's a hassle to give your first 10% to God... well God knows your heart... and to me that's sad. Also, our church and Pastor Keith in no way bashes our president. Our church will change your life and show you that we as God's children should glorify him more often. We do not deserve God's love.. yet he gives it to us everyday. I love my church. and I love the people in it... and there is no way that this church is about money. God has blessed our church and He will continue to bless us because we are lifting Him up and will continue to glorify Him, no matter what the circumstance is.

Separation of church and state and big money issues!
by Josh W.
I visited Celebration Covenant Church for our family's second time this past Sunday. It is an OK church, more Hollywood with the big screens, lights and cameras, but the people and the Pastors are incredible! I felt kind of awkward as the 1st time we were there, it was completely black around the "sanctuary". But it was still kind of weird being there. I've watched on line, and that's the way I will watch for now on. Another thing, not to offend the rich Republicans that congregate there, but Jesus Christ is not about money and bashing Barack Obama. I am a Republican and a white person, and I voted for BO; but this place seems to bash on him weekly. If y'all really feel that way about our President, move out the US!!! In fact, isn't there a law or similar in place where places of worship are prohibited about speaking/preaching about politics in church? A friend suggested this church to us, but I think I will go back to First Baptist of Frisco. Democrats are welcomed there.

It is not about the money!
by Andrea O.
Going to church is not about money. If you wish to, give! If not, no-one can reach into your pocket to get your money into the offering bucket. if you choose to stop going to church for this reason, it is a shame. I happen to buy into the principle of putting God first, it just works for me. It is like an insurance policy; i am covered.
Do not bash CCC. Pastor Keith does not need your money, the guy works hard for his own money. The church is real and lots of us are crazy enough to just BELIEVE! I hope you find a church that keeps you passionate for God.

I love this church, but come and decide for yourself!
by Melinda R.
I have been attending church here for over a year now, and I have never felt pressured to "give until it hurts" as some reviewers noted. People are encouraged to tithe, which is a part of every single church I have ever attended. Sorry folks, all churches regardless of denomination need donations from members to pay the bills and to expand/make changes or repairs. I have always gone to the Catholic church, and they were much more serious there about pushing people to give them money. So, lets just make sure we are being realistic in regards to being a member of ANY church! Anyway, moving on---my opinion is that this church is the most modern, unique, cutting edge, creative one I have ever been to (and I have been to A LOT). The people are truly genuine and genuinely interested in helping/serving others. The media and arts (plays, original music, video productions, etc.) are mind-blowing they are so good. The children's programs are wonderful, stimulating, and designed by people trained to teach/work with children. The pastor (Keith Craft) is probably one of the best preachers I have ever heard. He is able to bring scripture to the people in a way that is modern, meaningful, and positive, not outdated and punitive as in many churches I have attended. I have found my "home" at this church, and I urge you to attend or even watch a service on-line and develop your own opinion. Don't let the "Negative Nellie" types keep you from giving this church a fair shot. Hopefully when you come to visit, you will feel as welcome as I have over the last year!

Mistaken
by Lee h.
First, all these previous reviews contain a lot of false information not even worth commenting on. I would like to say that I have been at the church from the beginning and have NEVER heard Pastor Keith ask for a min of $10,000...that is hilarious. You are free to give as you wish and as far as the "application" process...it is not. It is your info like name, address, email, etc...no where on the "application" does it ask for your income or how much you will give. You never have to renew your membership...that doesn't even make sense. Pastor Keith does not need anyone's money...he has many businesses outside the church. He is a great and genuine man and am sad to hear that you couldn't see that in him. Hope you find a church that lines up with what you believe. God Bless!

Celebration Covenant Church
by Ed E.
Found this review on Yelp....I think its great!! great summary about this Church...or mall
"Typical church that tries to lure people in by making it kids friendly and provide starbuck coffee and frappuccinos...made by skinny chicks/mom that think there hot because they wear leather boots skinny jeans that they obtain from their teenage daughters closet.
Bottom line this church in Frisco keeps asking for money and more money. Or ask to purchase vitamins...or buy other stuff..Which by the way I find dubious at best, perhaps the IRS should check into this church for questionable sales practices. In addition, the oversized steroid enhanced preacher is a good communicator, yes, the art of communication is essential when you are trying to con people into giving money to the them....Nothing but a two faced steroid impotent man..Feel sorry for him and anyone that thinks are getting fulfilled by going to this church should get themselves into some counseling"

Seems to always be about money and more money
by anonymous p.
We went to Celebration Covenant Church on a Sunday where they do their building campaign, dubbed Build the Dream. The praise and worship is amazing. But it seems like the motto of the church is money and more money.
When you first wake in the lobby, you see 3 big screen plasma tv's (probably $12,000/each), 4 smaller plasmas (probably $900/ea) and a huge model of the new building. One wonders as to how they pay for all of that. And that's only the lobby.
During this particular service, the pastor spoke a great message, but every now and then, he would pause and say something money related. After his message, they performed another offering at the end of the service, begging everyone to pay him $10,000. I said to myself, I wonder what kind of car he must have. I understand that God is calling them to expand their facilities, but come on, you don't have to beg everyone for a minimum of $10,000.
I was looking through a Breakthrough the Dream brochure and noticed the whole building is going to be made of stone. It's so, I can't bring myself to say it.
One of the greeters brought me around the building so I would know where my kids were going. He explained to me that in order to become a member of the church you had to apply, be accepted after a 6 week class, and are required to pay a certain amount of your income (which you disclose to them during your application process) to keep your membership.
He then stated, "Pastor Keith has a saying... If you're not willing to give your money to the Lord's cause, we need your seat."
That did it for me.
I guess I didn't realize that glorifying pastor Keith, filling his pockets, and buying plasma tvs, and lights for his church was the Lord's cause.
I politely told the greeter that I was looking for a church... not a country club.
I did watch a video sermon, which was good, and I've heard that this church does good missionary work, but visiting the church just screams MONEY MONEY MONEY!!!!
Gotta hand it to them though... they have no denominational preference. They'll take $20s, $50s, AND $100s!!! Be careful!
