I have enjoyed ever meal! i strongly urge you to try the jalapeno corn - if you aren't already addicted (warning...you will be!) ~ generous sized portions - from a very generous group of people! if you haven't had them cater an event for you - you are missing out!

Demeris Barbecue provided excellent catering service and food for for our wedding reception. Demeris is already known for great barbecue. Many may not know (and we didn't at first either) that they offer a vast variety of choices on their catering menu. Some choices include SouthWestern/TexMex, Southern Style food like Chicken Fried Steak and Chicken Fried Chicken, Italian food like SevenLayer Lasagna, Turkey and Dressing, Hors d' Oeuvres, and Breakfast Buffet. Our guests were very pleased with our menu selection - Chicken Fried Chicken, Seasoned Green Beans, Roasted New Potatoes, Salad, and Rolls. The serving staff were hard working and conscientious. We enjoyed working with Billy who arranged the catering and helped us with our selections. We highly recommend Demeris for catering.

While driving down Shepherd near West Alabama, I came across a sign for Demeris BBQ. Being new in Houston from Memphis TN, I had only heard about Demeris BBQ from my co-workers who eat there all the time. I had my family in the car so we decided to try Demeris. The restaurant was nice; clean new tables and chairs, large booths, and country decor. I had the 2 meat combo- Chicken and Beef and a couple of sides. The meat was good, tender, juicy, and smoked just right. I like that they dont drown the meat in sauce. We were surprised at the large menu. My wife wasnt in the mood for a heavy meal, so she had the Greek Salad. She loved it! The kids split a basket of fresh chicken tenders and fries. I know Bar-B-Q this is great BBQ! We will be back, thanks Demeris Family!

Their food is awesome and the staff is always very friendly. The lunch crowd is great and the quick service can get you in and out. I have also had Demeris cater a few events I have done and was very pleased with it as well. Hands down, Demeris BBQ is one of my favorite places in Houston.

The atmosphere is layed back. It's a good place for kids. It's great for lunch or dinner. It's quick & easy and also affordable. Demeris is great Texas BBQ that you'll absolutely love.

Post-Rita, this was the only restaurant open on Saturday for upper Kirby types so it gets my vote; service was ultra friendly with someone serving ice-cold water to the stressed-out crowd. Food was good. Appreciated their being there. Thank you!

No question about it, Demeris has good BBQ. They offer the usual variety of meats (brisket, links, ribs, chicken, turkey). The links are mediocre, but everything else is very tasty. Their sauce has a good flavor, although my girlfriend noticed it's a little thin. Their stuffed potatoes are enormous, packed with the meat of your choice, and come with a side of sauce.

There isn't much to the service portion, you go up to the counter and order, it usually only takes 3-4 minutes to get your plate.

There is a woman who works the cash register that acts as though she would rather jab knitting needles in her ears that place your order.

I went to the Demeris on Shepherd and had the sliced beef. It tasted like roast beef that had been baked in an oven until very well done, then Kraft's BBQ sauce poured over it. Houston... if you think this is good, you need to get out more often!

The people I work with have been meeting here (Hempstead Hwy Location) since the early 80's. We have never been disappointed with the Huge Baked potatoes, Po Boy Baskets, or the great plate lunches and salads. The portions are generous, quality of meat is excellent, the taste is superb, and best of all the cost is nominal.

Everything on the menu is very tasty and fresh. The reason why Demeris is so busy is because of their delicious food and the friendly service from the staff and mgr. The only thing missing off their menu is the "CORONA BEER WITH LIMES". Demeris has a very warm relationship with their customers and I really like that. Demeris B-B-Q is #1 in our family.

By "greatest" I not only mean the best but the largest. The stuffed baked potatos are huge and so good you can't quit till its all gone.

Demeris Barbeque has been around for many years and i have been going to the great restraunt at least twice a week. The barbeque is the perfect example of great barbeque. There catering business is also unbelivable. The service is fast and cheap and the best tasting babecue in Houston. I strongly recomend Demeris Barbecue

I'm 49 years old and I've taking my wife and son to Demeris Barbecue for years. My parents took me when I was young. The food has always been very fresh. Everything on the menu is very good. Try the jalajeno corn and their onions. At one time they had fried dill pickles and they were very good. I have tried a lot of B-B-Q places but no one can hold a very bright candle to Demeris Barbeuce. Their B-B-Q sauces is very good. They have to best french fries. McDonald's look out. Over all, if you haven't eatin at Demeris, you are really missing out on some tasty food.

You haven't eatin Barbecue until you've eatin at Demeris Barbecue. My parents took me to Demeris when I was young. They gave me a rib to eat. They were so good I was eating the bone. My parents stopped me, but I just wanted you all to know how good and fresh it was. The whole staff is very nice. My truck broke down from Demeris so I called my mom. The staff all treated me like family. In my heart and eyes, Demeris Barbecue breaks the scale with their fantastic food and wonderful hospitality. There's no doubt in my mind, Demeris Barbecue is the number "1" Barbecue place in the USA. Their barbecue sauce is to die for. If you don't believe me, try it for yourself. Our family has been eating at Demeris Barbecue going on 17 years. Our son was just a baby and now he's a young man. Demeris family treats our family like family and I love that. You just can't find that kind of great feeling today in this fast world. If you haven't met Frank Demeris, you are missing out. Frank and his wonderful staff from cashier to cleaning off the tables, they all are very nice and are so friendly to all the customers that walk through their busy doors. We eat at Demeris at least once a week sometimes twice a week. If you haven't eaten at Demeris Barbecue, take my word and go by Demeris on Hempstead and try their onion rings. Yum Yum. We have enjoyed Demeris restaurant food for years but recenlty had them cater an upscale event we had for our family and it was wonderful. From the ice sculpture to the china Demeris did a first class deal.
We love their BBQ sauce it always gives us a warm feeling deep within. their fries are great with Beef and sauce on them also!

Very pleasant and feel good atmosphere just adds to the fantastic aroma when you walk in.

The barbeque is exellent. Being from the south, i have grown up eating all kinds of BBQ and I firmly believe that Demeris has the best.

My family loves it so much I had them cater my daughter's wedding rehersal dinner.
