Village Tropical Fish

Located in the village, nice selection, and yeah, they know what they're talking about - if you can get them to sit still for a minute.

Felt like I was invading their space when I came in to inquire about some SPS corals they had in one of their tanks. Maybe they thought I was just a window shopper? Bought a couple of parts I needed for a 105g reef tank and split.

If I'm shopping for something specfic, I'd go back, but they didn't make my list of regular stores to frequent.

PROS: good selection, everything looked healthy
CONS: don't forget to wear your nose ring and proudly display your tattoos

I could not recommend a better place to buy your fish, freshwater or salt, invertabraes, and accessories. It's run by folks who are die hard hobbyists, and they are always willing to help out a newbie like myself. The prices are good, and the quality of accessories and fish are awesome.

This is the best place to go if you live in Houston and need HEALTHY fish or anemone for your saltwater tank. They have the largest selection of saltwater fish and anemone I have seen in the Houston area. The staff there is very knowledgeable and extremely helpful! I would definitely recommend this place.

I wish I won the lotto so that I could buy this store. Their stock is awesome and they only hire people that are super knowledgable. If you want to get in the hobby or you're an expert, this is your place! I highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in fish.

I have been a long-time customer at Village Tropical Fish and things continue to get better and better. Village carries a very large and varied assortment of marine fish, invertebrates, and corals. The corals they import from aquacultured sources are beautiful and environmentally conscientious, as aquaculture is always a good thing. They also have a very large selection of freshwater fish as well as lots of equipment and dry goods for both saltwater and freshwater aquarium enthusiasts.
