It took airmax 1 week to process a request after the approval of the warranty company (AHS). Speaking to an authorized person is nearly impossible and the only way to get one on the phone is by threatening that you will not work with them.
When finally speaking to Art (the manager) over the phone, he suggested that if I were to go without the warranty company and change the whole system through airmax (which would also cost an estimate of $5,600 that he provided on the spot) they would be able to make it within 2 days.
Moreover, airmax work order breakdown included items such as $220 for replacing the condenser slab with a "properly sized slab", whereas in practice they replaced it with the exact same size. The employees did a poor job of leveling the new slab and only after I complained they decided that there is a better way of doing it. Nevertheless, leveling the slab properly did not seem to be part of their normal practice which is alarming (they were pushing the dirt with the screwdrivers and other non-relevant tools). The annoying part is that when I asked one of the technicians what is wrong with the old slab, he replied without hesitance that there is nothing wrong with it. That was confirming to me that this was merely a ripoff - a way to get my money as an out-of-pocket and on top of the warranty coverage.
Finally, after completing the installation of the condenser, they 'found out' that the evaporator coil is leaking. Every A/C technician that I talked to since then confirmed that this could have been found from day one. If they did their job to find this as the root cause, it could be that I would not have needed to stay without A/C for 2 weeks.
I finished the work within 1.5 days after with another contractor who stepped in very easily and got my A/C back to work.
Will NEVER work with airmax again in my life!

Had a very good technician come to my home. He was polite, well organized, and efficient. He was able to find the problem and make the repair quickly. Above all a very honest person, we had 2 other companies come out to work on our a/c unit and both said it was fixed but that was not the case. Also very happy with your office staff very polite and professional. Thank you for a job well done.

Airmax is horrible. I have been dealing with them for a year because I have American Home Shield. They are unprofessional and tell you something different everytime. Art tells you one thing then sends out a tech who tells you - that you need something else. I am sure that they don't have enough business by themselves that they have to deal with home warranty work to get business, otherwise they would go out of business, AHS should stop using them and let them go out of business where they belong. Don't use Airmax in Celina if you don't have to. they are incompetent.

Airmax is absolutely the worst repair company I've ever worked with. I truly believe that most companies are honest and that issues arise from simple misunderstandings. That's not the case with Airmax - they are more dishonest than you can imagine. There are too many air conditioning repair companies in the DFW area for you to put up with the incompetence and dishonesty of Airmax!

Not only did Airmax take 38 days to repair my air conditioner, they charged me hundreds of dollars for items that a city inspector and their own repairmen said were in perfect working condition. In fact, each of the 3 technicians they sent to our house came up with a different list of "critical" items that needed replacement. I am an American Home Shield customer, so AHS forced me to continue using Airmax even after I expressed my concerns. We had a choice of paying for the extra items or delaying the repairs even further. After 38 days of a Dallas summer without air conditioning, we chose to pay the excess charges.

We attempted to discuss our questions with the company owners (Scott and Art), but they were unable during the 38 day repair period to find a few minutes to speak with us.

If you need the work done correctly and in a timely manner, avoid these clowns!

Air Max Repair Masters is not the company to call if you would like your work done in a reasonable response time. It takes them at least 4 days to come out to look at your problem and another week to get around to ordering the parts. They have a poor staff that do not schedule in a timely manner, do not communicate the schedule if any to you and never apologise for very unprofessional customer service.
Having an Air Conditioner out of order in 100 degree weather and taking over 9 days to get around to fixing it is below expectations when there are plenty of good companies out there. Levy and Sons, Quigley, and Suburban Air and Heating all would come out the same day and have a new unit within another 24 hours installed.
I would never recommend this company to anyone, it was only used because of American Home Shield Warranty sending this company out. Next time I will specify not to use this company.
