Serenity Salon & Spa

This is an awesome place. Everyone there is so friendly. Lilia does my hair color and cut she is amazing! Lisa does my massages, and I have been to alot of massage therapist but never one as knowledgeable about the body and with as gifted hands. You really should try her. Also, I got my first dermabrasion treatment there this last monday and it was amazing and my skin has looked great ever since. A total one stop salon!

Amazing place and world class service! the staff are sooo friendly!.. I got a haircut here today, beautiful job! I 100% recommend this place to everyone! You won't regret it. The owner is very nice and he really respects the customers! Thank you so much guys! Plano needs more hair salons and spas like Serenity!

I did go to serenity salon and spa in Plano this morning to get a hair cut, my hair was very long and I wanted to cut it short short, one of their stylists name is holly,if you are looking for a top hair stylist go to her, she did cut my hair exactly the way I wanted it ,beautiful job , good attitude, and nice personality if you choose her as your stylist you will always walk out of the salon happy.

I did walk in the salon with multicolor hair and I thought no one can fix my hair but holly one of the hair stylist in serenity salon and spa in Plano did such an amazing job my hair was gray root about; 5 or 6 inches dark in the middle and the rest brown and you should see me when I was walking out I look amazing and I was happy, go to her if you want to walk out happy like me.

I went to Serenity because I had read some positive reviews and I live close by. I went in for a "trim". Basically, I wanted just an inch or two cut off, no layers or anything fancy. I was actually trying to grow my hair out and wanted to get rid of the split ends. The stylist that cut my hair was Holly. My experience was horrible! She ended up cutting 5 inches off of my hair. She even commented on how short it was, and I just decided that it wouldn't do me any good to get upset because it was already done. The smock that she used was a dark brown color, which happens to be the same color as my hair, so I couldn't tell that my hair was completely uneven and jagged until I got home and looked in the mirror at the back of it. I have never seen such a horrible job on a very basic haircut. I called back and asked if she could fix it. She got me in but ended up cutting off another 1/2 inch or so. It's better but still not totally even. She told me it didn't look even because I wasn't holding my head the right way. What kind of person would tell you that your hair will only look good if you hold your head in a certain position? I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone at all. It was horrible. Any hair stylist should be able to trim an inch off of someone's hair without screwing it up.

If your looking for an amazing highly educated massage therapist I would recommend giving Lisa a try. Not only was she very knowledgeable but she was very conscience of the amount of pressure she was applying and my comfort level. I rarely go to the same massage therapist twice because I always leave disappointed.
Not this time!- I am happy to report that I was very pleased and am looking forward to re scheduling with her!

I went in to get nails and i Love them. the girl's name was Kourtnee ( i prob spelled that wrong but know it started with a K) She was professional and friendly. She did a great job- i am super picky cause nobody ever gets them thin enough. i would highly recommend her.

The nail tech Kourtnie is Amazing!!! Love my nails. She has been doing them for years and I followed her to this salon. She is a freak about sanitation (i don't do fungus!!) and is a perfectionist. Your nails say a lot about you and your standards. People who "know" can spot horrible nail jobs a mile away. -JK

I have had many issues in the past with nail tech's and had pretty much decided to just stop getting my nails done until I met Kourtnie. I was impressed she took the time to educate me and listened to what I wanted. Kourtnie did not use a drill on my nail plate in fact her drill use was limited. I had my own box of files she created. I love the way my pink and whites look! My nails have never looked better or felt better and even after all the fills I have had they look as good as the original set she put on. I can actually wear my rings again with out being embarrassed.

Kourtnie Donihoo is one of the best nail techs I have ever used. I saw her work on another person about 7 years ago and asked the girl where she got her nails done because they looked so good and I am SO picky. I just couldn't find anyone I liked. I went to Kourtnie and was very satisfied. She did my nails for years. She had to move and I was forced to try once again to find someone and have not been truly happy with my nails since. Now she is back in Dallas and working for Serenity Salon and I could NOT be happier! It's hard to find good quality work these days because too many people are doing nails. Kourtnie is the BEST!

I have been to many stylists and have finally found one I trust. I was skeptical at first because Katie is so young but I love her now! She does a great job every time and i completely trust her. I even referred my friend who had a horrible experience in another salon and now she drives all the way up to Plano from south Dallas just for Katie! She's a gem!

I can only speak for the stylist that does my hair-Katie. She is fabulous! She went to Toni & Guy school, worked for Toni and Guy and is an expert in cut and color for men and women. She is very honest with telling you how your hair will do with a certain style or color and will never steer you wrong just to make a $$$. Her scalp massage is excellent. Truly a professional. Worth every penny!

Anna Martinez was an independent contractor at the Salon that leased he space. She in no way represents the professionalism displayed by anyone else at the Salon. As of 6/30/2007 her lease agreement was terminated and she has left the salon.

I read the one review listed on "Insider pages" about Anna Martinez, and decided to give her a try. I deeply regret my choice. Her son, who is training to be a stylist, washed my hair (after foil highlights) and soaked the back of my blouse. Anna tried using a blow dryer to dry it, but water was half way down my blouse, it would have taken her 30 min or longer to get it dry. I left the salon with a wet blouse/back and as it dried, a huge bleached area was revealed. The stained/bleached area was clearly left by the watery chemicals from the shampooing. When I reported the incident/damage to Anna -not even an apology was given. I asked that my blouse be replaced (less than $30.00), but recieved nothing.

Anna's son also tried blow drying my hair with a comb! I'm not talking about combing it after it was washed. . .he actually tried to style my hair using a flat comb. I asked that a round brush be used instead, but I can't believe I had to ask. I have been to many salons over the years, and no one has ever tried to style my hair with a comb. My Serenity Spa experience was terrible, and I'm extremely offended by the lack of professionalism demonstrated by Anna Martinez and her son.

When I first moved to Dallas everyone told me that I needed to get my hair cut at Serenity Salon and Spa. All of my friends go there. They specifically said to use Anna Martinez. She does a great job on color and cuts. She does a great job on both guys and girls. She is very nice too and will give you products to use on your hair. The prices are kind of high, but worth it.
