I had a custom stained glass window that, it seems, someone broke and removed in order to enter my house. Oddly nothing stolen, but the criminal was nice enough to set the window down without completely destroying it. For two years I asked around if anyone knew anyone who could fix it and the answer I got was, "throw it out and start over." After one final try on Google, I found Coldwater Creek Custom Glass in Austin (100 miles from my house). The owner Michael is semi-retired and does custom glass from his home shop in North Austin. It was great doing business with him. He took a look at the damage and said he could fix it for a reasonable price that was right about what I was expecting. He answered all my questions so that I could make a good decision and know what to expect from the results of the repair. I left the glass and told him I'd be back in a month or so. Today I picked it up and he did a very nice job doing what other glass people told me "wasn't worth it." Well let me say, BOY was it worth it! A couple hundred bucks instead of $1,200 replacement. I happily recommend his work.

Pros: Friendly, reasonable, local, and excellent work.

Cons: I had to drive 100 miles to Austin
